The agent that I rented from was less than stellar. Was chewing a rubber band and was almost impossible to understand what he was saying. It was only because I have used u-haul many times that I was able to guess what he was trying to say.

have a back up for when the computer won't work- our rep was very nice but it took almost an hour to complete our rental! Time we didn't need to spend on a day that was to reach 118 degrees and we spent an hour that was cooler in the store trying to complete the rental as the internet wouldn't stay connected- surely there is a paper option

For decades I and my family have used U-Haul. I unfortunately became trusting enough to not do the walk around and gas gauge check since I have never had a problem with either in the past. Nor have I made my reservations online, like I did this time. With this company, I was told at the counter the gas needed to be at 3/8 tank when I returned it. However, 4 miles into the trip I happened to notice the gas gauge was on a 1/4 of a tank. I took pictures of the progression and called the center to be told it needed to be 3/8. When I gassed up & put over 5 gallons in for the 20 miles I drove and it still didn't budge, they ignored the pictures and receipt saying they needed a date stamp on the pics to prove I wasn't just sitting in the truck for hours and hours burning the gas before leaving U-Haul. What? How many hours would I have to sit in the truck burning gas to get it from 3/8 tank to 1/4 of a tank? All I know is that was a ridiculous assertion after telling them I did not sit in the truck for any length of time other than driving it to and fro. Then, when I returned it, the rental agent walks to the side and asks me if I hit something. I am absolutely positive I did NOT hit anything, & the location where I used the U-Haul, it was not possible for another car to fit in and hit where he stated it was hit. Then he says because I had chosen the $14 waiver online it wouldn't be a charge. I know I would've heard it if I hit something that scraped from wheel to wheel along the side of the U-Haul!!! My suspicion? This company is renting damaged vehicles to people who select the waiver online knowing they can get previous damage covered under their insurance waiver if the customer walks out and leaves without stating there is damage that wasn't indicated on their rental form. I did not get a rental form since he said it would be emailed to me. I was a trusting idiot after trusting U-Haul for decades without having a problem.Then they blame it on the customer and act like the customers lucky they had the $14 waiver and won't be charged. I complained to the manager about the gas and the damage I did not use/cause, he kept acting like I shouldn't worry about it since I wasn't going to be charged. Unbelievable. Don't blame me for something I didn't do or make me fill up gas I didn't use!! Just because I had the waiver and wouldn't be charged, didn't make it acceptable to take the blame for something I know I did not damage. I will definitely never rent here again!!!!

Make sure purchased equip is placed in the truck. I reserved and paid for a moving dolly but upon arriving, I discovered there was no dolly. This was an extreme inconvenience as I had to purchase a new dolly since I was unable to return to the Uhaul location. I was also called about returning the vehicle at 9am despite agreeing go a different return time. The staff was friendly an apologized but it was slightly inconvient as I was currently moving.

It would be more helpful if you could tell the customer before hand where to park the van when returned, else we park in some place and you ask us to park it some where else, as in my case, at back of office, it was okay to do as requested, but would have been efficient when said earlier where to park returned vehicles. It would also be nice to show us the accessories of the vehicles before giving away the Key of Vehicle so that we get acquainted rather learn it on our own.

Trailer was old but functional. Could have used some routine maintenance like lubricating the hitch and the door rollers and door latch.

Not location just equipment needs work. Truck had hole in exhaust before muffler, fumes came into cab thankfully it was an in town move. Steering and brakes also very shaky under braking.

Please make sure the odometer on your trucks are as expected. A double check with the presence of the customer would help avoid any conflict. I did only 35 miles with the truck but ended up paying for 70 miles even though i m sure to have checked the mileage at the pick up which was in accordance with the contract. Also, the fuel indicator goes above the full marker. Which means that i got the truck with a few gallons missing even though the indicator was on full. That is definitely not a way to treat your customers. I definitely would not recommend your company to anyone if you keep disrespecting your customers with such tricks... Still i would like to note that your personnel have been listening to my concerns and tried to help.

I would say the only thing that I believe that should be changed to better the experience would be to have an exit for the return equipment area because it seems like my drop off was during peek hour and multiple vehicles where trying to get in and out at the same time so it jammed up and some seemed bothered by the fact they couldn't leave quickly so I think it would make it flow better if there were a dedicated entrance and exit gates other than that everything was great the staff are amazing.
