The person at the desk didn't seem to want to be bothered in helping. He first pointed to a spot in the back that when I got there the 6x12 would not fit it in. Then after trying to wedge it in for 10 minutes he drives around back and points to another general area to leave the trailer. As I was backing it in he comes back and says no put it over there. Finally after getting the trailer backed in you would think he would offer to help. 63 year old man to lift the trailer off the ball. No way. I would suggest U Haul equip their trailers with a hand jack if they aren't going to have dealers who will get off their rear end to help. I can't imagine if it had been someone's wife returning this unit.

I had reserved a 6x12 enclosed trailer. When I arrived to pick it up, I was informed that U-Haul policy now requires the customer to hook up the trailer. The dealer even had a U-Haul sign on the counter stating such. I am a 74 year old man with severe COPD and in no shape nor strength to hook it up myself. The dealer informed me it was my responsibility to bring additional help (people) with the hook up. When asked why I was not informed about this change in U-Haul policy prior to arrival, the dealer said that U-Haul should have informed me. Luckily, the dealers wife provided me with a jack to lift up the tongue high enough to place it on the ball. I had also ordered a dozen packing blankets but they were never placed in the trailer. With severe COPD, I had to stop many times to regain my breath as I started gasping for air. Four days later, I am still feeling the effects of the over exertion. When I returned the trailer at my destination, I asked about U-Hauls new policy requiring the customer to do the hookup. This dealer said they had never heard about this policy and that the dealer was required to do the hookup.

Horrible customer service. Argued exceedingly about 1/8 of a tank of gas. She said it was on empty but fuel gauge said 1/4. Do not rent here! Poorest customer experience I have ever had in my life. Really 1/8 of a tank and you are going to argue. Unreal

Uhaul needs to get in contact with this location and fix the Uhaul software. The business is great and the people at this location are wonderful, but they are experiencing issues with the Uhaul software. The wonderful lady at Blue Ridge could not access my original reservation and had to create a new one for me, which was more expensive.

Only place around! would not take back unused boxes so UHaul should not advertise that all locations will take back boxes We ended up donating 8 large boxes to this location which I am sure will turn around and sell them again

No staff was there, and it was regular business hours. We had a difficult time getting the trailer unhooked, but were finally able to do it. My guess is they do not have much staff there, so when someone needs to be out, it is closed. Would be good if there could be some sort of message on teh website when this occurs,

One thing I was not happy with-my contract was to return the truck to the Cashiers location, but I was told over the phone by U-Haul to return it to Franklin NC, which is much further away, because the Cashiers location was "full." I decided to stick to the contract and return it to Cashiers, and when I did do the lotvwas virtually empty. I did not appreciate being told to return the truck to a less convenient location than I had agreed to initially on the contract.
