The paper work and the lady both said that the gas tank was full, which it was not. It was on 3/4 tank. I only used 11 miles, and spent $24 to fill it back up! Gas is $2.54 a gallon, there’s no way I used 9.5 gallons of gas in such a small trip especially since I was in the green for MPG the whole time. What you could improve instead of just handing us paperwork and saying this is how much gas and etc is have the associate that rents the uhaul, go out and double check everything with the customer to verify everything.

Back door was iced shut, took me 20 minutes with hot water, a hammer and a chisel to get it open. Back right tires were VERY low on air. Inside duel was 40", outside was 18".

Would give them no stars if there was a option we rented a U-Haul trailer from here on Friday night at 4pm to move our daughter on Saturday, when we picked it up there was a light issue and the lights didn’t work we were told if we get pulled over just tell the police it was a fuse. Then my 10yr old son got really sick which led us to the ER and him having surgery Saturday morning I called as soon as they opened to let them know what was going on asked if we returned it right away could we possibly rent it another day for a discounted price with no sympathy was blunted told no. Then when my husband returned it and told Rich that we were going to post this review he said “turn about is fair play” Have lost our business and call has been placed to the cooperate.

I was called the day before my rental pick up and U-Haul said that my rental would not be there. I had made the reservation two weeks before and had the time off from my job already arranged. They offered the smaller truck at two different locations. Both added almost three hours longer, round trip, to my moving trip. We would have to do this with our personal car. We reached the new pick up point. They did not have our agreed rental either. They had to call a third location, even further away. So U-Haul cost me over 3 hours of my loading time. And my wife and me are the only ones doing the work. I asked U-Haul to pay for assistance to load and unload the rental, to make up time. I was quickly refused. This was the third time I have used U-Haul and I have always heard poor reviews from others. In the past, I defend U-Haul and share about my good experiences. U-Haul gave me a "free" trailer, but I was very concerned about making everything fit. It did work, but it it would not have worked, I would have needed to get another rental. Another 12+hours of making a second trip. Also, we would have missed our closing. I am really disappointed in your company.

Being from a small market (Mt Pleasant, Iowa) having to drive 30 + 30 miles to pick up and return adds costs, mileage and fuel that doesn't seem fair, to others in larger cities,some mileage allowance reimbursement seems fairer way to all,

Let the process of getting the truck much easier. Had to call service to get the correct truck since someone else took ours. It took about 30 min on the phone which kinda sucks since it's supposed to be easier doing self check in and check out. But the lady on the phone was very polite and moved us through as fast as she coulda

I always choose this location because it is the only location in my area with the van. My town has U-haul, but they do not have a van at this location.... I thought everything went well and the people were very nice.... as for improving.... i would like a van in my location.

I'm pretty upset... I got charged for 174 miles n I counted mileage today n it was only 124 miles this is the 2nd time u haul has screwed myself n family ... won't be back

My experience was the best ever. The representative in Burlington, Iowa was so kind and understanding. I was having problems with my credit card. Original request with Hoffman's home center was made approximately 10 days prior to vehicle used. I confirmed vehicle availability approximately 20 hours before use. When I went to Hoffmans to check out the piece of equipment they indicated that no vehicle was available for rent. They sent me to the Burlington auto outlet. Burlington auto outlet indicated a $50 credit would be placed on my credit card for the inconvenience. To date, that has not happened. Additionally, there were leaves and grasses in the back of the rental truck that I cleaned out before turning the truck in after I used it. Overall, I was quite dissatisfied with the UHaul service. I will follow up with my $50 credit next week.

You need better signage. I am looking for the typical large UHAUL sign and there is none. I drove the street three time before I saw Uhaul trucks parked in the back of a parking lot that belonged to a car dealer of some sort.

Let them know that a hold charge will be placed on their account. I was not told this, and have no idea how that charged amount was estimated. I had a truck for 29.99 and a dolly for 10. So that is 39.99, you assume it would be that amount and then add the mileage once the truck is returned. However, I was place a hold charge of 64.35, which caused my account to be charged an overdraft fee. With only 12 miles driven, my final amount was 53.46, which I had enough in my account for. I would like a refund for my overdraft fee.
