Have another person assisting in the office, have the full amount of gas in the car to begin with (I had less gas than he said in the tank when we left, and he said that I didn't fill up a quarter of a tank. I might have had 24.5/100 full, but the tank wasn't as full as he had said, and he refused when looking at the image of the gauge that I had shown him.) It wasn't worth arguing over $8, but it was a pain and was not a pleasant experience. And the emergency brake for the truck was dangling and had to be maneuvered in order to drive away.

The location offers 24/7 drop off, but if you are returning a vehicle after hours, you need to park on the street. If you know that ahead of time it won't be so bad. However, there is nothing in the description, rental agreement, or drop off instructions to indicate the after hours street parking. That omission leaves customers in the lurch, causing a lot of confusion for both the customers themselves and the uhaul customer support staff, and making for a much longer and more frustrating drop off experience.

There is no app pickup, even though it is advertised as being available. There is a very small staff, so it took nearly an hour for me to pick up the truck.

Absolutely terrible experience. Clerk at this location did not allow online check in. Said it was first come first serve! Even if you had a reservation. I did the online check on while I was waiting and located my vehicle and got a contract. When I went to show the clerk. He did not honor the online check in, even though I was already confirmed with a contract and had paid online with my credit card. He then continued to cancel my reservation and give the vehicle to another customer. And have me wait in line for an hour. When it was finally my turn, he could not find my reservation, even though I showed it to him on my phone. He continued to call me a liar and that I had no reservation. I then had to contact U-Haul customer service, which took another hour giving me the run around because apparently my reservation was through another company. I was passed off and dropped from the phone calls multiple times. Eventually after calling back multiple times and finally getting a hold of the manager of the area, they gave me a truck. Absolutely terrible customer service from the clerk at location, he said out loud multiple times that he did not care about doing his job and that he hated it. U-Haul gave me a $50 refund for my troubles. But I don't know of I'll ever use them again.

The attendee was not customer friendly. He became unnecessarily loud and sacastic because I told him that bill was high. He even got up and left me inside the "office"? As I walked outside I saw and heard the attendee relating my case to a group of men from the garage. (that I used the van and questioned the high price that I was charged.) The attendee's behavior was "anti-customer" , disrespectfully and from all appearances he behaved badly because he saw our SKIN COLOR is similar. I observed him talking to caucasian customers prior and his intonation was modulated... I even heard him tell a man that he'll take care next time. One man was questioning his bill and another left a key in the van. If we are being asked to take our precious time to do a survey, I hope it to produce better CUSTOMER SERVICE. I could not recommend this location due to how badly I was handled especially as a female. as attending to a caucasian customer.

The truck I reserved was not there. What is the point of having a reservation if what you’re reserving isn’t there? Also, because I was forced to take the smaller van, I had to make two trips and was charged for the additional mileage. Sounds like a racket to me.

Ok, first of all, there was one guy actually working at this location. He was not present at the desk for the first 20 minutes I was there. When he did arrive, he was followed in by another employee that preceded to scream at him for 15 min. The location itself/the workers were not very professional at all. HOWEVER, the equipment was clean and I did not have any problems with the truck.

I was only given 9 furniture blankets. The wait was incredibly long and the blankets were strewn across a dirty vehicle. Blankets were also dirty.

The owner of this location is one of the rudest people I have had to interact, and this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. My roommate and I had a 10' truck scheduled to pick up at 8am. When we show up at 7:50am, an attendant tells us to wait and that the owner will be back soon. The owner comes back at 8:30am, and after talking to all his friends at the garage, says "good morning" to us. We say good morning, and that we have a truck scheduled for pick up at 8am. He says that we have to wait 15 minutes and didn't explain why. When we said that we had already waited 30 minutes, he yells, literally yells, at us to leave if we don't like. It was violent and scary. His employee told him to be more gentle to customers, and he yells at his employee "who do you work for? huh?" Absurd. After another 30 minutes we were ready to go - an hour late. When my roommate returned the truck, the owner of the garage continued to berate her in a very rude manner. When he asked her if she put gas in the truck, she replied that she did, and he yelled at her that she was a liar. He could have just checked that fuel gauge and see that she had indeed put gas in the truck. The truck was in good condition. But the service was ridiculously bad. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.

Make sure the truck that has been reserved and confirmed is actually at the location. Have more customer service representatives working so that customers aren’t on hold for over a half hour when they call to address the fact that their truck isn’t there. Have customer service reps who don’t ask you to hold for a moment and then send you back to the beginning of the phone queue.

It was virtually impossible to drop off the U-Haul at this Brooklyn location. As we drove by the first time, the front driveway was blocked with a double parked car and a U-Haul was doubled parked by it. After struggling to go "around the block" for another pass at the drop off location (Brooklyn roads are very narrow, congested and doubled parked), we were instructed to leave it double parked by the driveway! This place (a transmission garage) needs more parking or shouldn't be a U-Haul dealer!

This location was haphazard and disorganized. I made a reservation online and he would NOT honor my reservation. I ended up paying DOUBLE what I should have because of that. There’s also no street parking to return the truck after hours. I do NOT recommend this location. Additionally I had to call uhaul at least 4 times in regards to this move.
