When I got to the location, I was doing my online pick up-- it said I did not have any haul for my reservation. I called the number provided that was "24 hours" and no one answered. However, the man working the gas station was very helpful. The guy whose phone number I needed to call was not, I left a message and a phone number and he never called back.

This moving experience was awful due to U-haul and it's reservation system. My roommates and I made a reservation to rent a U-haul from the 10 Malcolm X Blvd location in Brooklyn for 12 AM on Friday, September 1st. When we showed up and signed in on the self sign-in website, it said that no vehicle was attached to our reservation. Confused, we proceeded to talk to the gas station attendants that were there to see if we could figure out how to take one of the u-hauls that were sitting there, as there were at least 6-7. They said that the u-haul that we rented was not there and he would not allow us to take any others. He then condescendingly showed us all of the reservations that were made for 12 AM and said "look at all of the people that reserved a truck before you did". However, even if we had made our reservation earlier, we still would have ran into this same problem of not having a truck available to us when we showed up. After not getting anywhere with the unaccommodating attendant, we walked back outside near the gas pumps and called u-haul customer service to try and get this straightened out. The service rep we talked to said that the people who had reserved the truck before we did, did not return it at 11 PM like they were supposed to and there was nothing that could be done even though there were many empty u-hauls just sitting in this parking lot. He then told us the best thing to do was to make another reservation and try again, but we did not want to risk running into the same situation of showing up somewhere and not getting the truck we had reserved at early hours of the morning, as it was already nearing 1 AM. The service rep also said that we would get $50 in compensation for the inconvenience, but I have not heard anything further regarding that. We ended up having to make another reservation at the Flushing Ave. location for 7 AM, and when we showed up, we ran into the same problem where the people before us had never returned the u-haul for our 7 AM pickup. Fortunately, the gas station attendant at this location was more helpful and he still gave us the keys for the one truck that was parked in the lot, even though it technically was not the truck under our reservation. On top of that, the u-haul system only allowed us to rent the truck for 6 hours since they were in such high demand for that day. Overall, it was an awful moving experience because of the faulty and unprofessional u-haul reservation system, which should be able to handle much more service on a busy moving day in New York City. My roommate had to miss work since we ended up having to move at 7 AM instead of midnight, and we were extremely tired and fatigued by the end since we had no choice but to rush to move everything within a 6 hour window. We are all extremely hesitant to use u-haul ever again for our moving needs, and U-haul should not only provide us with the $50 compensation we were told we would be given, but also a full refund on the u-haul we ended u

the measurement of the gas was same when the truck was returned , nevertheless he made me put 2 dollars worth of gas !! HOW CAN YOU TELL THE METER WAS OFF TWO DOLLARS ??!! , ALSO

I've rented here many times and have had only positive experiences. The guys who work here are great and it's always a relief to see their faces when I come to pick up a truck. If you were dealt with rudely, ask yourself if you were being a dick before passing judgement.

When I arrived, my booking had been lost. I was told to call U-haul's Customer Service. While I was on the line waiting, my booking came up on the computer. I don't know what the glitch was, but the clerk acted as it if were Uhaul's problem, not the problem of FL Mini Mart. When I turned in my truck, my assistant had left his iPhone inside, and while I was waiting for a car service, one of the staff found me outside and returned it, for which we are very grateful.

If an out of state driver's license is provided in the original rental that does not match the address provided DO NOT wait until the customer is picking the rental up to inform them that they need proof of residency for the address listed on the rental. That is a fraudulent waste of your customers' time and should be rectified by even placing a disclaimer on the website landing page where you enter that information. Because of this exact scenario, I had to leave the rental lot and return to my home to provide proof of residency. When I returned to the rental lot the vehicle I had reserved was GONE and I had to take a different vehicle.

Yesterday was the last day on my lease and I had to move all of my items and furniture to a brand new apartment, a couple of neighborhoods away, so I booked a van from 8 am to 8 pm. Booking was pretty simple. I injured all the required info, selected a timeframe that wouldn’t leave me rushed, and received an email saying: “You've selected a 9' Cargo van for your move. You are scheduled to pickup your equipment at FL Mini Mart Corp on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 8:00 AM for 12 hours . If, for any reason, you need to make changes or cancel this reservation, please visit your account at uhaul.com by Friday, August 25, 2017.” Yesterday morning, I went by my new apartment to pick up keys and then headed to uhaul, around 9:30 am. Upon arrival, I was told by the employees, in an incredibly rude manner, that I was late for my pick up so they had given the van to someone else. Confused, I expressed that I’d reserved it for the entire day and that that couldn’t be possible. I checked my email and found the note above, saying nowhere that my booking would be rendered null after one hour. Furthermore, I hadn’t received any calls before the employees gave up the van. After an hour and a half of arguing with the employees who were incredibly, incredibly rude saying things like “when you’re late for a plane, do they wait for you?” and “this is your problem,” they finally agreed to give us a 15 foot truck that was twice the price we’d originally signed up to pay and incredibly difficult to drive. We had no other option because U Haul hadn’t stuck to our reservation, the employees at the branch had been inappropriate for more than hour already, and our stuff needed to be out by morning. Will never use U Haul again and will be sharing with friends and family who expect a moving service to be the most reliable part of a displacement.
