The employee who checked out the truck to me and the employee who met me when I returned the truck were both extremely friendly and helpful and made the process clear to me so it was fast and easy. The location was quick for me to walk to, the truck was clean and easy to operate, and the price was excellent. Overall I had a very positive experience and would recommend this service and this location to a friend.

Better train your employees on customer service - the employees at the Malcolm X location in Brooklyn have no idea how to treat customers or they simply don’t care. I can’t exaggerate how bad the service is.

Have gas tanks filled. Should not have to put gas in tank when i picked up the truck. Besides that truck was clean and rides nicely.

I actually rented at another location and the truck was not available. I was hugely upset but the staff at 1127 flushing handled it very well. Your giant company is seemingly pretty poorly run but the people on the ground were great despite being set up to fail.

I am extremely pissed off because upon dropping off the vehicle, the attendant said everything is good and I can go in to check-out. I signed a receipt for $65.51 and found out today (5/29/18) that they charged me a $150 damage fee for the passenger side mirror? This makes no sense since we didn't even touch any of the mirrors! I have been trying to speak to someone over the phone to no avail but no one is picking up the customer service line. I am very disappointed in this experience not only from the pick-up location but from U-Haul's customer service team.

My first two times renting a uhaul went smoothly, both from this location. Made reservations online 1-3 days advance and arrived at my pick up time and everything was just about ready to go. Friendly people, helped me refill gas and maneuver the parking lot, and were patient and understanding with my questions. Would recommend

Customer service was very poor. Employees guilted me for reserving a car 45 minutes before their scheduled closing tim, and then intentionally took their time filling out paperwork and giving me keys.

When I arrived, the pick up truck I rented was not on the lot. The person assisting me was less than helpful, suggesting that the previous renter was still out with the truck and “wasn’t answering the phone.” He said that he “didn’t really know” what to tell me. At this point, it was 11:45 - 45 minutes after my scheduled rental was set to begin. I asked if there was another vehicle available and he asked if I could come back later. Then, he reserved another vehicle - a van, not what I’d rented - at another location, half an hour away. FINALLY, someone else returned with a vehicle that the attendant FINALLY agreed to let me take. Again, a van - not what I rented - but at this point, it was an hour past my scheduled start time and I just wanted to get out of there. Needless to say, really put off.

After my recent experience with U-Haul, I will never recommend U-Haul to anyone I know - friends, family, or clients. That was the worst moving experience I have ever had because of your service. I was very upset, frustrated and absolutely disappointed with U-Haul. I have issues with U-Haul corporate and your location at 51 Kingsland Ave, Brooklyn, NY. Here's why: - I reserved a 15 foot truck weeks in advance, when I arrived on time at 10:30am the truck was not there AND the guy at the location had no idea where or when it would be back. - The U-Haul location where I made my original reservation on Kingsland Ave did not have a solution for my missing truck. He kept offering to give me other trucks which were reserved by other people. How can he give away other people's trucks?! What kind of service is that then someone else will be left without a truck. That needs to stop. U-Haul really needs to provide backup trucks. Your company also needs to track your trucks better. Basically, you oversold and could not get contact the driver with my truck and get him to bring it back. He had it hours after his reservation. Why make a reservation if you don't get your truck? I had all of my apartment move planned - furniture, boxes and moving help ready to go by 10am and ready for my 10:30am pickup. Your customer service is also lacking – I was on hold more than I spoke to a human being during the day of my move. I needed a replacement truck asap but could not get through to anyone. In a nutshell, get your act together. Get organized and if someone reserves a truck you better have that truck for them.

I want to begin my mentioning that the people who helped me at this location were great. My problem came with the quality of the computer system and UHAUL interface. I watched as it broke down again and again and again. I was supposed to pick up my rental at 10am and arrived at 9:50am. I didn't leave until 10:35am. This made me have to rush everything, because my friend could only help me until noon. And if we didn't get my bed and larger items moved in that time, I had no other way to get it done. It shouldn't take over a half an hour for your employees to gain access to the system and get it working. Especially when I completed the EXPRESS checkout ahead of time. I know the people behind the counter were doing all they could. But, there needs to be a solution for them so this doesn't happen to any other customers.
