I had to wait when I had a resevation. The guy took his sweet time getting my paperwork ready. No customer service. Not friendly or helpful - and this was after my reservation had been in the system! They didn't even have to do anything. When I went to drop it off, no one was there during office hours and I waited for them to return. When She came back she was annoyed that I pulled the van into the parking lot. Not great all around.

Charged me a $40 late fee even though I returned the vehicle 60 to 90 minutes before it was due. It has been over a month an no one has fixed my issue or even called me back. The lady at the desk in the trailer barely spoke to me or my girlfriend. She was also ignoring the constantly ringing phone. That explains why no one picked up when I tried calling. I called a couple days later and the man who picked up said he was her manager and would look into it. Neither he nor anyone else ever called me back. I ended up calling again a week or two later, and another man picked up and said whoever answered my call before must not be working there anymore. He then asked me to call a U-Haul department called "Traffic" at (718) 522-4924. The person at "Traffic" told me that adding a review here was my next step; let's hope it helps. This was my first U-Haul experience, and I have found it appalling. The company to abuse me like this was an airline! Based on this drop-off experience, there is no circumstance where I would recommend U-Haul to anyone.

I ordered moving blankets. I was charged for moving blankets. I was told moving blankets are in stock. I did not receive moving blankets. I had to call twice to get the charge refunded.

I'd recommend to someone in need of a Van, but like much of that section of Brooklyn it was a shit-hole. But then I desire facilities with a parking lot for their vehicles, NOT on-street parking jumping the curbs and strewn over several blocks, and a dark old three-steps-up trailer for an office. And what's with that graffiti covered corrugated tin gate? Looks like a street in Mogadishu. But truck was clean and new and everything worked. Nice folks too !

I originally had my reservation at a different location MUCH CLOSER to my move, and when I arrived there they informed me that they did not have my truck. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and extremely irritating. I will not be using uhaul again. What is the point of a having a confirmed reservation if you don't actually bother making sure that you can uphold it.

The check in process for the rental was quick took about 2 mins to get me into the Uhaul. The thing im not happy about is that the fact I declined the rental protection for the uhaul and did not look at the printed contract before I signed it. So make sure if you decline the rental protection, double check your paper work before you sign it. Otherwise you will be charged extra and not realize it until it's too late. Another thing is when you rent the uhual, they don't go with you to inspect the vehicle for damage. So beware if you declined that rental protection they can easily blame you for the damage that was previously there. On the contract they also want you to return the rental clean. When I got mine it was dirty in the back of the truck full of some type of debris. No big deal. Only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is they are quick on the check in. Make sure to double check the rental protection.

My reservation was for 9:00 am on Sunday, Aug 13. We showed up 5 minutes early, but the attendant didn't show up until 9:15 am, even though the hours listed say 8:00 am. When we started to go through the process for reservation, she was curt and unpleasant. When she saw that the vehicle I reserved was not available, she had me call the operators in order to resolve the issue myself, without letting me know what the problem was or what I should expect. I have had good experiences here, but I will not be coming back so that I don't have to deal with unprofessional staff again.

The attend at the rental pickup location, a middle aged woman, was very rude and unattentive throughout the entirety of the process. I asked her for help in going through the self checkout process and she decided to smoke instead. When I grew frustrated and decided to do so on my own, she became aggressive and threatening. I told her that I didn't want to interact with her any longer as I felt her to be both disrespectful and unhelpful and that made the interaction even worse. She was very unfamiliar with the process of the self checkout and therefore, thought I was trying to steal the car. Overall it was a poor reflection on UHAUL and the experience.
