The uhaul pick up sight is always wonderful however we did have a flat tire during our drive. The service for fixing took an hour over the estimated hour to get to us and it seemed like there was a huge disconnect between the service and the call center. The call center was very helpful and kind but they did call three time to ask how our experience with road side assistance went before they even arrived. Each time they seemed very surprised that the person had not show up yet. Aside from that everything was great and when roadside assistance arrive they were quick and easy

The man working when I dropped off the vehicle explained that some of the other employees do not follow standard operating peocedures when it comes to documenting miles. because of this i was overcharged by 15 miles and he took no accountablility, saying they are just a pick up sight ans not actually u-haul. There is clearly no management here and I would not rent from a satelight location again.

They rented me a truck that wasn’t road worthy. The right side mirror was broken and consequently never stayed in the right position. On a truck, the side mirrors are crucial. So, this wasn’t good. Also, from the moment I got in the truck there was a warning light that one of the tires was low.

We had an AWFUL experience. We followed U-Haul website instructions for our 7:00 AM pickup, only to discover that our assigned truck was blocked by other parked vehicles. We wasted about 45 frustrating minutes before staff at the garage were able to find us a different van. Sherman Parking was fine, U-Haul was a total, frustrating mess.l

My confirmation was not for this location. I received several confirmation that my van would be ready at 996 Metropolitan ave location at 9am. I showed up at 9am to 996 Metropolitan and was informed there was not van, and that I would have to go across town to the 26 S 6th Street location. I had to spend additional money to uber to the new location, and was informed upon arrival that they also had no vans, even though the Uhaul rep on the phone from the original location confirmed they had vans at the new location. I waited a very long time until finally there was a van available. I missed the window of time to move my belongings, as the owner of my new apartment had to leave and there was no way in. Now I am out ~$90 and have to move my stuff another day. The Uhaul reps and employees at both locations were very nice and tried to be helpful, so it seems like it was more of a logistical failure of knowing where the vehicles were.

Very, very poor experience. I don't think I will return to UHaul again. I turned up at my rental time and found an empty lot. Despite my reservation, they told me nothing was available and to call a hotline (!) to be redirected to another UHaul outlet in a different neighborhood. This put a huge wrench in my moving plans, since I selected this outlet for its location and now had to collect AND return my rental to a new place. I was promised a $50 rebate on the phone due to the reservation not being met. As of 5 days later, I have been charged for the full amount of the reservation and there is no rebate in sight. I filled out this review in the 10 minutes I've been on hold with UHaul Customer Service.

Make sure the trucks are park on the site the attendant say it is. My was totally opposite side of the parking lot of what I was told, and blocked by another truck and van. I had go back down to the office to have the attendant move the van to take out my truck. No a big deal but wasted some time while doing this. Everything else was great, including attendant attitude.

Reservation was cancelled by either location who held the truck, or by uhaul customer service. No one seems to know. A replacement truck was found for me, but it was in a location far from my regular travels. I ended up losing 3 hours out of my move time for the day. Later it took 45 minutes for customer service to respond to my request for a time extension.

I reserved the trailer online and decided to go ahead and get the $35 trailer insurance too. When I went to pick up the trailer, the insurance doubled, from $35 to $70. When I told the parking garage attendant that the rate was $35 online, he said it’s not giving him options lower than $70, so I reluctantly declined the coverage I reserved. I wish I paid in advance so I didn’t have to go through all of that stress.

I had a bad experience at the hunts point location in the Bronx I was about to give up on uhaul and use some other truck rental company but after trying truck share rental with uhaul at this location I changed my mind about trying some other company. The experience with truck share rental with uhaul was so quick and I did everything with my phone which was awesome within minutes I was in my rental truck, the big plus was taking photos with my phone to show the proper mileage, gas and also of the truck to show if there's any damage plus to show where the truck was parked. Simply love and would recommend truck share rental once you verify your account you're off and trucking plus no dispute over mileage, gas or damage to the truck because you just simply take photos of the truck there odemeter and gas done. Awesome!

Van was in excellent condition and the attendant was nice. However, my rented items were not in the van and the app check-in was a joke. I had to get the key anyway from the attendant. UHaul can learn a lot from Car2Go and Zipcar.

I had to extend my rental for another day due to unforseen circumstances beyond my control, and I was charged for an entire day but was told that I HAD TO RETURN the van by 1pm. Only 5 hours longer than what I had originally reserved but was charged for 24 hours. That is just WRONG. Im very very very upset.
