No issue with Redmans location what so ever. Great bunch of guys. The Plainville location, however, is not doing so good. Twice now I have had issues with both times I have tried using them. Only went back to them as they are within walking distance of my business.

While the staff at this location were great and very helpful, I had requested a pick up at the Main Street location in Hartford and was switched to pick up in Bristol. I was never notified of this change, and it was exceedingly inconvenient for me to pick up the truck in Bristol. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with Uhaul customer service the day prior trying to resolve this issue, but spent most of that time on hold while the representatives connected me to people who were not able to help me. Furthermore, I was told that one way rentals are not available at the Main St. Hartford location - but I had been able to make a one way reservation there online. Your system is extremely misleading and needs to be fixed immediately - it should've given me a message saying that the location I chose does not support the type of rental I was paying for.

Truck interior was filthy and smelled like motor oil. The interior got dirt on our belongings. This was only location that offered 26 foot truck. We only put 48 miles on truck of which 36 miles were to pick up truck and bring back. We put $13 of gas in truck or 4.25 gallons which was not enough to cover 48 miles traveled. We had truck for 7 hours and it cost us $146.00 Too expensive. Won't use UHAUL again. Not convenient and equipment not in good shape. Ramp also not working right, outside and inside of truck very dirty. Need to lower your rates, maintain trucks, and make this process more attainable for the common joe.

When ordering online I asked for furniture dolly, when I got there they said they don’t carry it. Manager however let me use theirs which saved me from some real frustration. There should System im place to assure customers the place they’re renting from has miscellaneous items.

The cab of truck was not clean when picked up, cup holders were dirty, dash covered in dust, trash in cab, floor mats full of dirt. I submitted pictures when picking it up but was charged $25 when returned because I said it needed to be cleaned. I want a refund for that fee as the truck was given to us in that condition.

I am completely unhappy with your online reservation system. It showed a location near me having two trucks of the size I wanted and let me reserve one, but then I received a text telling me I had reserved a truck at a different location 13 MILES AWAY!!!! This forced me to pay WAY over what I would have at the location that is under two miles from me. I called customer service, and was told I had to talk to a reservations manager. I was put on hold and left for 45 minutes until I finally gave up. Terrible experience. I will be telling everyone I know about it.

Redmans was great and very concerned with safely hooking up the trailer to my vehicle (including changing the ball on my connector to allow for low mounted hitch). I had some issues with the booking procedure, my online Bristol reservation was booked for Meriden and the email and chat reps I communicated with had no interest in trying to locate an appropriate trailer closer to where I would be (instead of 30 miles away). Hard to judge over the IM and email, but it seemed like they were very bothered I questioned their equipment decisions. Even had the equivalent of getting "hung up on" in my IM session. I asked if we could look for other options closer to where I would be, the person responded that I had already gotten an email on the subject then ended the chat. I finally talked to a nice woman on the phone (after very long wait time) that was willing to look around at different locations for a similar trailer and found something that worked at the location i originally wanted. The website really leads you to believe you are seeing an accurate inventory of what equipment is available, but it seems to have no bearing on real life. Frustrating to spend time searching for just what you want, then have it confirmed 30 miles away.

Filled gas tank to 5/8 as required Gauge hard to read. Attendant read it below 5/8 and charged me an additional $7 and change. Don’t like to be nickled and dimed. Give the benefit of doubt to customer that paid $200 and change for 8 hour rental.

The only drawback is that this location is in a desolate area, and the only way to get there is through back roads. Oh well.

The issue is the reservation process not the locations. I reserved a truck and location a few days in advance only to find out the day before that the truck I reserved was not available, they were able to get me a bigger truck - which was too big - but the pick up location was 20 minutes further away. Why have a reservation system that doesn't reserve what the customer wants. The system should show the equipment as unavailable.

These guys are great! They came in on Sunday morning so I could pick up a car transporter trailer to bring an antique car from Connecticut back to New Hampshire. When checking the trailer lights, they discovered a problem with the blinkers. So we checked another trailer--same problem. Turned out the wiring socket on the truck's bumper was bad. They had a replacement socket in stock, so they changed it out, tested it, and got me on my way with minimum delay. If they hadn't have fixed the socket, I would have been stuck and my whole trip would have been a waste. I appreciate they folks at Redmans going the extra mile to provide outstanding customer service. Well done!
