Dropping off here was another disaster, no one here seems to value the customers time. Waited quite awhile for someone to help me. I approached a young lady who and asked if i can get some help in returning this truck, she did not even look at me but mumbled, soon. I waited and a guy came who was on his phone discussing buy a car. I was totally annoyed.

I had no issues, I even made a reservation at the wrong location but the young lady took care of me even cleaned the uhaul herself before giving it over to me. I guess I would say hire more people like her!!!!!

Awful experience with this move. I originally scheduled a truck from the Howe ave self pick up location in Shelton. From start to finish this was a nightmare. I get to the site, go up to the only 10' truck, and go to log on with my phone where I am prompted the uhaul site cannot find my location. I try other sites to see if it was a phone issue-no, all other sites worked fine. I then go up to the main door which the open side is flipped to the public, but there is a small sign with dates that the branch is closed (today of course being one of them). I call the help number and the woman on the phone was extremely helpful, walking through the process for me over the phone. I arrived at 11:45, and when this was over about 10 minutes later came time for me to get the keys from the lock box. Guess what? No keys in either box. The woman applogized and was set me up with the nearest location that had the truck size I needed. Great. Only issue was this was 25 minutes south on a Friday on i95. The Bridgeport location and staff was quick and efficient. However, because of the extra unplanned travel time I was an hour late for my movers who are paid by the hour. My two hour move turned into three, costing me an additional $170 dollars for time not even used. Will never consider renting from a self pickup location again. Again, the in person and over the phone help I received was great. The other aspects of the truck rental were flawed and frustrating.

We just had our pick up site changed twice but all within a decent mile radius. Make sure uhaul pick up site is available and has enough working trucks.

I had a issue with gas . I put the gas in when I was done with truck and it was on full line. It was so full I could no longer put gas in because it was running over . I told the guy and he was very rude saying he would only give me back half the gas mileage because I could not pu more gas in .

Same issue as the Shelton location. . . understaffed. Also, the trailer hitch wiring that this location installed one year ago was not working when I picked up the trailer in Shelton. I had to go back to Bridgeport, and lost several hours waiting for it to be fixed. The individual who worked on it had to stop multiple times to assist other customers (including filling at least 6 propane tanks for various customers). I was on a tight schedule, so this was disappointing.

The van i rented had a leak above the dash everything was wet the leak was dropping right into the phone charger port my phones n the papers i left on the dash compartments on top of that it was horrible to see because of the. Mist from the inside because it was wet worst experience ever i couldnt keep it nor risk driving it home so i returned it 2-3 hrs later and i couldnt get the location i rented from to answer i kept getting forwarded to a call center that couldnt really help me non another location gave me a 1-877# to make a compliant i emailed some manager as directed n i still havent heard n my charges are still pending just was a horrible inconvience call center said theyll leave a message with the location on boston ave store and i waited all day and still not a call...smh

Everything went very well. Staff very nice. The only issue I did encounter was when I tried to bring back the pickup after hours and the application couldnt track my GPS location. I have an updated phone, my google maps worked, and GPS signal was strong and working and so forth, but it just kept giving me an error message/ With that being said, I had to return it first thing in the morning, which wasnt a big deal, but for future please check out the system. Thanks!

We drove to the moving location when we got a call to come back because we were given the wrong truck. It took 30 mins in an already tight schedule. Then I was charged $10 more than my invoice. It just wasn't the smoothest experience.

I ordered from a Trumbull, CT location, individual told me about U-Haul can change pick-up location, but he stated they usually change it to my Monroe, CT location. However, the pick-up although was within the 50 miles per contract wound up being in Bridgeport, CT. As a result I had to change my plans to coordinate pick-up and return.
