We noticed the passenger rear tire was flat when we headed back from Marshalltown so we aired up. Seemed to be ok when’d dropped off, but you may want to check if there may be a slow leak. Other than that everything was great. Thanks again for the great service you provided.

Find me a closer location to drop-off from my home. Ankeny has two U-Haul locations within 5 miles but you required I drop off in Bondurant 25 miles away

I WAS NOT expecting to be told that I had to pay cash after being told over the phone when I reserved the truck that I could pay via check, cash or credit card. THEN AFTER getting the cash to pay for the rental the store personnel told me that since I was paying with cash that I HAD to come up with another $100 for a deposit BECAUSE I was paying with cash. AND when I wanted to put the extra $100 onto my credit card I was informed THAT wasn't possible. AGAIN... ANOTHER SURPRISE...... I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH SUCH TREATMENT. I am going to tell others about this experience and think twice before renting from UHAUL again.

Site was closed. Signage and drop off instructions were visible. The only down side was the droop off box was not deep enough. I could reach my hand into the box and grab anything in there. Other keys that were dropped off etc.. Concerned me thinking the vehicle could be stolen and I would be stuck with the fee's.

This location should not be telling customers that they need to bring their rental trailers to another drop location after it was specifically rented to be dropped off on Ames. They should be prepared for move in and drop off weekends

The store was not yet open at the scheduled time (9am). Due to the store not being open, I was forced to wait to pick up my trailer...because I waited and did not take possession until 25-30 min past my scheduled pick up time, I dropped the trailer off at 9:18am. This was within my allotted 48 hour period, but was still charged for an extra day of insurance. This is unacceptable and poor quality in customer service.

Nothing against the location except I ordered blankets and they had zero. I expected a truck in Des Moines and had to drive clear past Des Moines to the east when we live on the west side. Figure a way to transfer trucks so the customer is not disadvantaged. Took a call asking me to turn the truck in early so I felt pressured as someone else wanted the truck. The person was nice but should have offered a discounted rate on the things we faced. Btw I am a frequent flyer with Uhaul.

I had initially chose in Altoona as my return location. When I went and picked up my trailer, the guy said that no location have been chosen, and I just figured that it got screwed up because everything else was screwed up. But I didn’t know is that the location I chose does not take trailers. Then I get emails from U-Haul saying that it was to be returned at a location with a link that was attached. There is no link attached. I waited almost 40 minutes on I had initially chose in Altoona as my return location. When I went and picked up my trailer, the guy said that no location had been chosen, and I just figured that it got screwed up because everything else was screwed up. But I didn’t know is that the location I chose does not take trailers. Then I get emails from U-Haul saying that it was to be returned at a location with a link that was attached. There was no link attached. I waited almost 40 minutes online Hold with one 800 go U-Haul before I finally hung up and went ahead and contacted the next closest place. This place told me that I was on their roster to return the item, but in the meantime I had gotten a message saying I was supposed to return it to Urbandale.

Fix trailer leaks. Had a trailer scheduled for two weeks prior at the Ankeny IA location. They called the day before and said they didn’t have a trailer for me and had to find one 20 minutes away at this location.

Ended up not being able to leave with the vehicle until 45 mins past the start of my reserved time because of multiple factors. I had to take multiple pictures of damaged areas on the vehicle not marked by their "X stickers" to avoid being charged for damages not caused by myself, and then when it was time to leave, the self service app advised that the key should be under the driver side seat, only to find out that the "manager" didn't even put the key in the vehicle at all! So I had to sit around and wait for him to show up to get me the key. Got a $50 credit back due to them not being able to honor the reservation, but still a huge pain, and they didn't even seem to care about the inconvenience. I will never go through them again, and certainly suggest anyone else to avoid this location as well.
