Pickup location was clean and welcoming. Excellent service. My issue is with the last minute change to a location which was 30 round trip miles out of my way from Sammamish. This added an extra $50 to my bill and a large inconvenience of time. Not the Newport locations fault, they were wonderful

The reason I gave a poor rating for this location is because during the return the clerk who was on duty asked "if there is something that he need to know" when I handed the key to him. This was before he stepped out to the front of the store to inspect the vehicle. The vehicle was in exactly the same condition as when I picked it up. The clerk tested ALL turn signals for no reason. I felt offended by his action.

Not a darn thing. Outstanding customer service, both when I picked up the van at the New Castle location and when I picked up the car carrier at the Main st location in Belkevue. Both locations communicated clearly and were very easy to deal with. Everyone was very eager to gel with great attitudes. The drop off location in Boise also did a great job!! I’m very impressed with all of the people I dealt with!! I’m in the customer service business as well (Commercial HVAC service technician) so when I get great customer service I like to point it out. Thanks for the great work and all of these employees should be given a pat on the back and raises, they earned my repeat business with U Haul. I was charged a mileage overage. The reason I was over was because of the fires in California caused us to be detoured over 180 Miles to the 101 vs our intended route on I5. Seems like that is my problem. . .

Person at the counter was not nice and asked me to clean up the truck before returning it. It was not mentioned in my contract or anything. Plus the truck was already not clean when I picked it up. Bumpers were broken also when I picked up the truck so not well maintained.

My reservation was changed and contrary to what your computer says, I WAS NOT NOTIFIED!!! This is unacceptable and added to the cost of the rental. I had to go to another location much further away.

I found the return experience incredibly confusing and frustrating. It seemed like the gentleman who checked me out at 106 148th Ave NE said I needed to drop the truck off at a different location than his. When I went to drop off the truck, I was uncertain which locations would be appropriate for drop off. Also, the contract and the online messaging led me to believe I might be penalized for dropping off at the Newport Hills Mail Boxes & Shipping Center. Finally, I found the return experience confusing and frustrating because it seemed conflated. Some messaging indicated I would need to take pictures of the truck, and I failed to ever see a prompt for that via my online account. In short, it seems like that whole process/setup could use a lot of refinement to reduce customer confusion, uncertainty, and frustration. I hope this helps.

We had a terrible experience picking up our UHAUL from Newport Hills Mailboxes and Shipping. Though there was no one waiting in line at the time we arrived at the storefront, it took 45 minutes for us to leave with our UHAUL. The attendant was unable to process the reservation I had made because my license kept getting rejected by the UHAUL Computer system as "invalid" due to age (I am 31, so there was a glitch in the system), it took 45 minutes for us to leave with our truck. I can't vouch for whether the employee was entering my correct birthdate, but he insisted on calling the UHAUL IT department to get them to override the glitch, despite our suggestion that we just put the whole reservation under my boyfriend's name and credit card which would have solved the problem and completely worked for us (and reduced the time we had to deal with this painful interaction). The store employee delivered all information in a monotone manner, telling us LITERALLY everything about the Uhaul rental experience except, the most important information to me (and I imagine many customers) -- that the mileage estimate I had provided was critical in securing the amount $70 rate that they quoted. The did not tell me (apparently it's in the contract), that if I exceeded the mileage I estimated, I would be charged substantially more (i was charged $55 more than estimated). Common courtesy - when delivering 1000 word plus, fine print type documentation to customers, do them a favor and highlight what they need to know? I was told initially that it would be $19.99 as long as I returned the truck within a 24-hour period, so that is why I was particularly confused to learn that the "extra" miles I drove the Uhaul meant I needed to pay almost double the original rate I was quoted. It simply was not communicated verbally that extra miles = substantially more cost. The whole experience was really unpleasant. I suggest that UHAUL re-evaluate their contract with this vendor.
