I rented a dolly along with my trailer. After finally finding a person on the premises to pick up my trailer, I was informed they had none but I could go to any other in town and get one. Called two other locations in Beaufort, neither had one. Called a couple days later to let them know I was never able to obtain a dolly and it needed it off my order. The lady stated they were on the road and would call me back ASAP, never heard back. Tried to return the dolly the next day to be told they could not process my return because I did not have a dolly. Called 6 times before I finally got ahold of someone to resolve the problem. They then called the return site to clear it up
I ordered a trailer from Hilton head island. My confirmation ultimately changed to inform me that this equipment couldn't be guaranteed at the location and a representative would call me although the reservation was guaranteed. No one called me so I assumed the scheduled reservation was confirmed. I arrived at the first location to be told that they do not have trailers. The person at the counter called â€œtrafficâ€ who then miraculously sent me a text saying I had a confirmed pick up in 30 minutes in Parris Island 31 miles away. The result meant I had to drive an additional 60+ miles out of my way to pick up the equipment, delaying planned pickup and travel back to my destination which in turn led to me needing to take time out of my work day the following day to return the equipment. All in all this experience was pathetic. I'd like to request a full refund to cover additional unexpected mileage and time that I needed to take in order to meet the contract I signed. In my opinion Uhaul failed miserably at meeting the expectations in this contract and as a result should return my payment. (I'd like to note that the individuals at all 3 locations were courteous and professional and that this review reflects my experience with the contract and not them)
The truck interior smelled of cigarette smoke and hadn't really been cleaned. Hopefully that can be recouped from the previous customer
Not a thing. The process was very quick and efficient and the staff representative was equally efficient and possessed excellent customer service skills.
This is the second time we have used this location. The first time we showed up and the equipment was filled with mulch and had to go to another location and then this time The truck was filthy! The window was also left down and it rained the night before we picked up so the inside of the cab was so wet ! And not to mention the location was closed â€œdue to system issuesâ€ so there was no one to talk to VERY UNHAPPY WILL NEVER GO AGAIN DO NOT RECOMMEND
Office was a disaster. Wrong truck was assigned and we had to wait 45 minutes for the new truck to be assigned. Representative did not verify rental equipment with us. I would not recommend this location to anyone else.
Location is behind a building and through a mulch yard. This was a night drop off and it was dark, I didn;t even think the fenced area was sa place for me to go at first so i had to turn around and drove around looking for the correct location...you cannot see ANYTHING Uhaul from the road other than a sign. Would have been helpful to have received a call about this location. Also, it was an hour from my house and I passed MANY other locations along the way. Not sure why I was sent there.
Make sure your drop off locations have not closed business for renovations and repairs! Both drop off locations were totally unacceptable! We will never use U-haul again! Drop off location computer service down, Hung up on us when we tried to locate them, outside smoking, forgot about us when we tried to check out!

terrible experience. no one on sight, no one answers calls. trashy, problematic, wouldn't go back there on a bet....difficult to find the office (if you could call it that), just can say enough bad about it!
Need a drop off near Hilton Head Island. This is too far away and took me almost 3 hours round trip.
I do have a complaint!!! I was over charged by $20.00. I have reached out by email to get this handled a couple days ago but I haven't heard anything nor have I been refunded. Other than that the service was fine. The over charging is accepted as an accident. The not correcting cant be over looked as easy. Disappointed!
Cab of van smelled very badly of cat litter. Other than that it was great!
The vehicle needs to be cleaned and full when picked up. You should never charge a person a cleaning fee for a filthy smelling vehicle that they rented in that condition.
Van was pretty dirty - sand on the seats - smelled like smoke - glad it was just an in town thing

It was a Saturday at noon and the place was not open. The space was completely fenced in and locked up. I called the phone number and it said to leave a message and the voicemail was full. We saw a black box on the side of a building (unmarked) and just guessed it was a rental key return box. Everything about this return was unprofessional, unclear and I was concerned I didn't even return the key in the right spot. Another customer was walking around the building at the same time trying to figure out how to drop off his rental as well. Not good.

We could not drop off the trailer we rented at the location we were directed to( Bluffton, SC). There were 3 empty spaces for trailers but they refused us and sent us 26 miles to Beaufort, SC!!!!!!!! That was too much after an exhausting 20 hour trip from Michigan. Just to drop off a trailer, we added an extra 52 miles to our already long trip!!! Ridiculous!!
I tried renting from problem solvers.on a Wednesday. I booked a rental for 9am.i waited till 1020am.me and 4 other renters..Noone received a uhaul!the gates was locked,noone answered the posted number and the mailbox was full.i called customer service and she said she spoke to the manger.she said she was inside and would come out to help me.20 minutes later Noone..and as far as Jennifer the manager..always on vacation there's noone to fill in.i own a business and its all starts with management!!!and as you all know I'm not the first or last to complin!!!an hour of my life wasted..and still waiting for my 50$..credit.but I will say I went back yesterday and the kid working there should be manager.!!looks like yall have decisions to make
I was moving cross country and needed to load the truck 10 days prior to leaving the state. The U-Haul would sit in a parking lot for the allotted time. I explained that I would be turning in the Uhaul at a later date and she said she would include that on the contract . I paid 1700 for the contract. When I returned the U-Haul I was charged an additional 700 dollars . I was told the additional days were included on the first contract. The second charge should have never occurred and put me in a situation I shouldn't have to be in.
This is the second time I've dropped off there and no one is around. You can't call them because the voicemail is always full and no one calls back. The UPS store in the front says they have bad service every day. You should stop doing business with these people. If I could give them a negative 10 I would.
