I arrived to pickup my uhaul on time for my 8:30am reservation but had to wait until 9:15 am for the uhaul manager to show up. He apologized and the truck was ready and clean but the 45 minute wait made me late for the work we were to do. I was frustrated that no attempt was made to remedy the error on their end. The check in process was smooth but I won't be using that location again.

The manager (who was the only person who could handle the rental) was not at the location when I arrived. He arrived 25 minutes later, after a phone call from the other staff member, and then was VERY slow to do my rental paperwork, with no comment on how late he was. I was late for the appointment I was using the rental van for. I would not come here again.

The manager and/or owner of this location is so terrible at customer service I felt as if I was invading his space. I had a reservation for 12:45 on Saturday 7/1; I arrived at 12:40 to ensure I was on time. At 12:50 I asked the cashier where the truck was and he replied with "the manager is at the bank and the truck wont be back for 5-10 minutes. We waited 10 minutes and then asked him to call the manager, and then the clerk said "I called, he said 10 more minutes" I don't understand what the point of a reservation is if its not honored. Finally at 1:15, the manager shows up and I find out that the truck was still on rental from the previous customer. Why in the heck couldn't the cashier communicate that with me!? He told me the manager had the truck, not the previous customer. Neither the manager nor the cashier offered an apology for poorly communicating, and once the manager came to talk with me, about the rental, he literally said NOTHING to me. I was hoping for him to at least say "Hi, how are you? I'm sorry for the wait and the confusion." It wasn't their fault the customer returned the truck late, however it is 100% their responsibility to communicate with me. The worst part is how apathetic they were towards me and my lost time. During my wait I called Uhaul to explain the situation and let them know of my tight schedule. The rep on the phone was great and expressed that my experience is substandard and that shed be issuing me a credit. I hope that actually happens, that could help ease the frustration I experienced during this transaction. When I returned the truck 24 hrs later on 7/2, the same manager was there and he didn't say "Hi" didn't ask me how the truck was, and didn't thank me for his business. What a poorly ran operation. I'm almost in disbelief.

The first location I went to didn't have the truck (the person before me never returned it and they didn't even notice). My reservation was moved to a nearby location, but since it was a last minute reservation there wasn't anyone working at the gas station that knew how to loan out the uhaul. Eventually we were able to complete the contract remotely, but moving is stressful enough without these sorts of issues.
