No longer support this location. I arrived at the location approx 10 min prior to my appointment. His gate was locked and I could not access his business so I parked across the street where I could see the location. 5 min past my appointment time I called the number that had called me the day prior. The person on the phone said they would call the operator of this location and put me on hold. The person came back on and said she had spoke to the operator and he had said he was in his building and his gates were unlocked. At this point I saw the operator pull into the Uhaul location and open the gates. I told the person I was still on the phone with that she had been lied to, and I could clearly see that he had not been in his building. During the process of signing for my truck the man realized that the amount of fuel was incorrect (Too low) and claimed that "She said there was enough fuel." I assume he was talking about the previous renter and had not checked it at turn in. He also failed to check the truck for any damage with me. When I turned in the truck the person who I turned it in to identified some damage that I did not cause, and had I not paid for the insurance would have been on me. I also did not receive the usual "packet" of paper that I typically receive from UHAUL. I only got a copy of the contract. When I left the operator followed me to gas station to fill the truck up to the minimum level that was on the contract. I don't know if this is proper procedure or not. I also later found important paperwork in the cab from a previous renter in an obvious location, so this tells me he didn't check the truck when it was turned in. HOWEVER, the worst thing that this guy did was cost me $180, according to another UHAUL dealer at the drop off location of the dolly. I told the guy that I wanted to drop off the dolly in Bristol, Va and take the truck up to Maryland. Apparently he entered this into the system incorrectly and caused me issues when I wanted to turn in the dolly in Bristol. He had told me that it would not be an issue, and he was wrong according to the UHAUL dealer in bristol, VA who I trust much more and have dealt with several times. I will not likely continue to use UHAUL any longer, due to this mans incompetence. I am not certain, but I believe the man who gave me these issues was named Christopher. So in summary, the operator of this location: 1. Arrived late 2. Lied to his supervisor(?) 3. Did not conduct damage check 4. Did not ensure truck was fueled when turned in 5. Did not ensure truck was clean when turned in 6. Fueled the truck up to the minimum level after the contract was complete 7. Cost me $180 by not setting the drop off location properly
was suppose to return equipment at 11 ... sat outside locating from 10:30 to 11:45 ... and places was close and no phone number to call ..... and uhual customer service did not let me return it to another location had to wait almost 2hr and 30 mins to leave it there ... wasted more than my lunch at work and got in trouble cause i took to long .... i would not recommend uhual to any of my friends
Owner must make sure the customer gets a receipt no printer is not a exscuse
The dealer was not at the location for pick up. After waiting 45 minutes, the dealer admitted that he was in Florida for work. He tried to get my credit number over the phone instead of getting another employee to help me. Well, he's the only employee who handles sales. I was referred to the call line. That was the only way I was able to check out my Uhaul truck. When I'd gotten home, I realized the dolly included in my order was not in the truck, which was cause for another call to customer service. This was the most frustrating moving experience.
I went to pick up the truck and there was no one working at the desk. I had to everything by phone. I was returning the same problem all over the phone
