Customer Service is horrible! Thought that we could speed up the process by checking in online and it took 30 minutes to get connected to a representative. After we finally were able to pick up our keys, we were told that the utility dolly we reserved was not available and no substitution could be offered. This meant that we were left carrying furniture as heavy as 170 lbs up to my 4th floor apartment. The manager assured us the charge would be removed, but over two weeks later I am still trying to get the situation resolved and my money refunded! Not to mention U-Haul promotes a $50 reservation guarantee which we have not been discounted appropriately.


Have a reminder in the truck to put gas in before returning it!!

The drop off process after hours using the iPhone app is perfect. I've done my return this way twice and it's easy. Make sure you have your browser settings correct for allowing access to camera. What a great way to make that process easy and well documented. Brilliant!

The self pick up option did not work for myself or 10 of the other people waiting for the location to open at 9am. All wanted earlier pick up times but the website told us we needed to come inside, this resulted in people losing their reservations and very upset customers. As a uhaul dealer and not actual uhaul employees, they had to direct us to the phone number or online and they could not be very helpful. Go to an actual uhaul location.

You called and moved me to this location from the one I booked. However, you did not inform me that this location closes at reservation was for 7pm. This was an issue.

You had me rent the truck for two hours starting at 8:30 even through you don't open till 9. And then when i got the truck at 9 your staff stlll demanded back at 9. Was not a good experience.

I reserved a dolly with the truck but at the time of the pickup I was told that they were all rented out. I wonder what is the point of making a reservation then.

Contactless dropoff was flawless. Plenty of room to drop off the truck. Super easy. Took less than 5 minutes. Truck was great and was comfortable for 11 hour drive.


They called me the day before to notify me there was no truck available. They then told me I had to do a round trip even though I had booked a one way. They then called me back and told me they did have a one way. They also told me my booking to pick up the truck at 8am could not be done as booked because the store doesn't open until 9am. Then they didn't have a dollie I had booked when I arrived. They told me they did not have one to give me and I could drive to another location. Overall the booking was a terrible experience. At the end I received the truck 1 hour later than I had booked, the movers were already at my house for 1 hour and I paid them without having a truck ready. No dollie was ever given to me.

i was charged $5 for furniture pads and $5 for dolly. Never ask for those things and more importantly never received in my truck. Very disappointed about unnecessary charges.

Originally I reserved my van for 7:30 am. I took an Uber to the location only to find out I could not get the van until 9 am when the location opened. When the location opened, the internet was down! So a rep found another location for me with a truck instead but it did not have a utility or furniture dolly like a requested. So I left at 10am with no dollies when I was expecting to leave at 8am with a van and 2 dollies. I'm confused as to why my card was charged for this experience because I did not receive what I asked for and I received the truck late. The screw up caused me to move out of my home late and be charged by my rental office thousands of dollars. I also went over my reserved time for the truck because I was given no equipment. I never knew uhaul was this unreliable and unprofessional. If you're reading this please don't charge my card. You all honestly tried to ruin my life.

This was our second Uhaul reservation. The staff barely acknowledged our presence. One staffer was new and barely knew what she was doing. The other staff person supporting her was allowing her to fail in front of customers. This was one of the worst experiences with Uhaul. It took us 2 hours to leave with our reservation.

I reserved 2 furniture dollies, but only recieved 1 at pick up. I would have appreciated a heads up that I was onky going to get one. Also, please wipe down the steering wheel/truck interior between rentals. The cab of the truck was very sticky with crumbs in cupholders.

The fuel level was not as shown and stated. Also, I had problems returning the truck. Staff said just to drop the key in the box. Then I realized I needed to go online, but had problems with that. So I tried live chat, and that timed out with no response. So I called and gave up after waiting quite a long time. I was very disappointed in the lack of availability of someone to help after the store hours.
