My original location was MDJ Grayson Auto Sales around the corner. I want to leave a review for MJD Grayson Auto Sales because they were AWFUL. I will spend the rest of my time telling everyone I know never to use that place. I had a reservation to pick up a truck at 4:30. I got there at 4:15 and they had no trucks - they told me they wouldn't have my truck until at least 6:00. I was sent to Ale's because the first place was so bad. Al's was a saving grace... They were in a touch situation because they did not have my original reservation that included a dolly and furniture blankets. We were sent back to MJD Grayson sales to get blankets because Ale's was out of blankets - MDJ staff were rude, disrespectful, and even menacing to my [female] partner. My experience with MDJ Grayson Auto Sales/Uhaul was so bad that I considered never using U-Haul again.

Make it more clear how to pickup a uhual before hours. When making the reservation I was simply told yes you can pick it up at 7am. I was not told anything about having to download and app and that this was before hours and no one would be there & that you had to be there and couldn’t have driver 2 pick it up. All the other equipment I originally had on my order was still at another location so we had to cancel that since we were on a time crunch. The only really helpful person who was great was Kim. I don’t have her last name but her phone number is: 4043323180. She made sure to stay on the phone and help us through the process & she was awesome and so helpful. She gave me her number since she had other calls coming in she had to answer so I could call if we needed anything & she even called back to check on us. She is the reason we got our uhual and Kim was great!

This was an absolutely TERRIBLE experience and I do NOT feel like I should have to pay for this absolutely horrendous service. First, when I arrived to the location to do the after hours checkin, I was not able to login in through the website. After calling and waiting on hold FOREVER, I was finally able to login. But, I quickly discovered that the van was blocked in by a car and could not be accessed. I told the representative on the phone and the wait took FOREVER for her to ultimately say she could not do anything to ensure I got another van (although one was parked across the street and accessible) but could change me to a truck which I was NOT going to drive in the city. Again, the wait time for all of these was ridiculous. On top of this, the pickup location was in a VERY sketchy/shady area and I felt very unsafe the entire time I waited, and it got darker as the time went on. So, I was stuck in a sketchy area waiting on the phone for several hours to pick up the van for a time sensitive matter. Then once someone FINALLY happened to come back to move the car (the representative on the phone did literally nothing to help fix this problem- it was pure luck the person came back to move the vehicle), the "quick" online checkin was ANYTHING but that. It took forever to go through the entire process, and had I known what it entailed I would not have chosen the after hours option which was marketed as quick and easy. I spent over 2 hours in a very sketchy neighborhood, and it was dark before I could even access the vehicle. And it began raining, so I had to move my item in the rain. I was HIGHLY unsatisfied with this location, with the after hours sign in, and with the customer service. I will most likely NOT be using U-Haul again, and I will encourage others to do the same based on this experience.

My order was scheduled for pick up at 11 am at this location. This was not the original location I asked to pickup up from, no big deal. However, my order was cancelled because I wasn’t there to pick up at 11 am! I was in Rome Georgia and had to drive down that morning, with all the construction on 75 south I wasn’t able to get there till 12. No one called to tell me my order was cancelled nor did the contract mention anything about cancelling your order if your not on time. I also checked in the night before and pre paid to speed up the pick up process. Because the order was cancelled I had to pay again so now I have two charges on my card and won’t be refunded my money for three business days. This is a very poor way of doing business. If i have to use this service again I will most certainly not prepay. You need to call your clients before you cancel there order!

This was the sketchiest situation. Since my original reservation was changed my drop off location did not transfer with my contract. The agent and I just picked a random location. It was not well marked. I got no receipt when I turned in my trailer. And the people at the location told us twice to drop the trailer off around the corner. I’m just thankful my husband was with me.

Make customers aware beforehand of needing a code to get the key to the vehicle they rented. I spent 18 minutes on hold to try to get the code before an Ale’s employee took pity on me and gave me the key.

The location and the staff are wonderful and friendly. The uhaul truck that I rented was falling apart. Broken visors, missing mirrors, headlight knob missing, and also It was raining tremendously and the windshield wipers were very old and all-in-all I felt uncomfortably vulnerable while driving.
