I have filed a complaint upon my return of the van. In all the times we have used Uhaul, I have never been treated as badly before as I was last night by the store employee. The van’s service tire light was on when I checked the vehicle out; was told it was ok, if I need I could add air or have it checked. When returning the vehicle, was told I needed to take pictures of gas and mileage; the attendant told me to use his phone. Because the service tire message would come on as soon as I turn the key on, could not get the mileage number. I went back inside to let the attendant know I was having trouble getting the mileage; he began to yell at me, take the picture, take the picture, you don’t know how to use a phone. This went on for about 40 minutes. I finally used my own phone and caught the mileage when I open the door before turning the key. I am waiting for a field rep to contact me. He refused to give me his name as I told him I was reporting him to Uhaul.

Overhaul your entire operations model. My trucks have not been available at the locations I reserved them at for the last THREE reservations. I can never get a truck where I rent UHaul storage! And the locations being at sketchy dirty convenience stores where you have to loiter to get someone on the phone so verbally take your credit card number so the clerk can hand you keys through the bullet proof window? And the truck was dirty and had a slashed tire. UHaul has gone so down hill over the years. I can't risk my jobs with UHaul trucks anymore.

You all should actually get ppl inside the store to be trained to handle u haul reservations who has an ounce of respect and professional experience to handle the task,without making a person feel like their being held captive or being threaten for not adhering to non speaking English person. I had to almost call the police on the man who was behind the counter as he refused to give me my phone back. Plus he was yelling all kinds of curse words,talking about I need to take his phone and take 20 pictures of the truck and I said sir,I just did that for 25 minutes,I'm not using your phone plus uhaul never stated I had to do that in the app or email,so yeah,I do not like this location. It needs to be shut down and those guys need to be closed down. Worst experience of my ENTIRE LIFE.Do Not Use Uhaul.

I dropped my rental off on August 20, 2019, yet, this site charged my card for a drop-pff on 8-23-2019 at 9:17 a.m. when I was physically in South Carolina and had been here since 8/20/2019. I have challenged this charge with my bank because the email address to challenge it with your company does not have a name and after send TWO emails I have not gotten a response for this charge, This feels and smells like intentional fraudulent activity, and I will not let it go. You should correct this injustice immediately!

I was originally supposed to pick up my UHAUL at 300 Peters St SW, Atlanta, GA 30313 at 7AM but when we arrived we were informed the "system was down". We were offered absolutely no help by anyone on site and luckily someone at UHAUL HQ setup us up to pick up from this new location which lacked all the other things we needed like wardrobe boxes, tie downs, enough furniture pads, etc. By the time we got another UHAUL and got all new equipment at Home Depot I had paid for hours of moving services that I never even got to use. I lost hundreds of dollars using UHAUL and would love to speak with someone about it.

There was no one to help me at the location I was given a number and told to call. When I got in the truck the tire sensor light was on and no gas in the truck I was told to take the truck to another location and see if they could put air in tire. They did not. So I was so un at ease to drive the truck... very very disappointed

The clerk would not look at the truck and would not give me a receipt. The place was very run down, the clerk was behind bullet proof glass, and the neighborhood was very run down.

The clerk was not knowledgeable about the procudures and services. I had to call another person on the phone to get everything done. I would suggest doing it online instead of at site. Had to give my debit information over the phone to a complete stranger...wasn't very comfortable doing that.

I am completely displeased with the service at this location and with u-haul over all. I own a small moving business and rent from U-Haul when an extra truck is needed. The last four times I have been given the poorest service. The authorized dealers are adding safe move plus to orders to inflate the attachment rate. At first I thought it was an accident but now the last 3 times I rented it was added after I booked the move and notated that the coverage was declined. I never signed a contract or agreed to purchasing safe move plus. I was given a truck with a flat tire. The manager took 3 weeks to compensate me. I then tried to use the comped certificate and was instructed it would be applied yet my card was still charged for the entire amount. There has been no recourse given by U-Haul, numerous false assurances that it would be resolved. Place all equipment, covers, and supplies in a neat and clean area. Train staff to be knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. This location should not be available after 7pm because it becomes a very dangerous area very quickily!

There were people standing and sitting around outside the store talking loud, cussing and smoking and after I completed the self turn in via my phone, a guy would not take the key told me that I had to go and take a picture of the odometer and gas and text it to someone's phone before he could take the key. I was afraid that someone would try to rob me because it was at night.

I can say with no subjectivity that this is the worst U-Haul location in America and by far the worst U-haul experience I have ever had. To begin with, the cashier was very hard to communicate with, he could barely understand us. We ordered a hand truck online to accompany the truck and there were no hand trucks available when we arrived. We had to speak to the U-Haul representative on the cashiers cell phone that he passed us through the check out window. The truck was very filthy inside, filled with old sponges, sand (looks like a fish tank had broken), pieces of styrofoam, water bottles, and debris from a previous move. The truck had clearly not been cleaned. When we went to return the truck there was only one available spot to leave the truck and the parking lot was not big enough to maneuver the truck into the spot. We spent 45 minutes trying to park the truck. There was another lot on the other side of the food mart with one open spot so I asked the same cashier if we could park the truck in that spot. He said yes, but it had to be backed in. Again, there was not enough room. It was raining so the ground was slippery, the spot was on a steap incline, there was a truck in the spot next to it, the building was in the other side of the spot, and there was only about 10 feet between the spot and a steep ditch that was very easy to slide down if you didn’t cut the wheels hard enough. The truck was 15 feet so it wasn’t going to happen. Again, we tried to park for a considerable amount of time and could not get the truck in the spot. Moving a few inches this way, a few that way, tricking to wiggle the thing in there. I went inside and told the cashier we were going to have to leave the truck parked on the side as it didn’t fit in the spots with all of the other trucks parked around it. He proceeded to yell at me and shove the keys back through the window in my direction. I put my hands up and told him again, I was sorry but we were not capable of putting the truck in the narrow spot on hill with wet ground. I aologozed many times and told him we simply could not get the truck in these spots (there were other cars from non U-Haul patrons parked all throughout the parking lot as well). He continued to yell at me very harshly through the window and I finally decided I felt uncomfortable and started to leave. He came out from behind the counter to yell some more and followed me outside. He was yelling at us accusing us of not being able to drive. At this point, many other onlookers had gathered outside as well, some telling the cashier to calm down. He rudely INSISTED the truck had to be in a spot. I called U-Haul and was told the leave the truck in the back. The cashier I was not happy and stormed inside still yelling at us. This whole ordeal took and hour, in the rain, and we felt very uncomfortable and we’re not treated nicely or with respect. I received no help getting or hooking up the trailer. I was even asked to move another trailer out of way so I could get at my trailer. Good thing I have a lot of experience with trailers.

Get the pickup location right. Put the right stuff in the truck from the order. Accurate mileage readings. Horrible experience and I’ll never use Uhaul again.

Convenience store with people hanging around gaming machines in the rear and panhandlers out front in the parking lot. Manager handled transaction from behind bullet-proof glass. This was the alternate location we were sent to as there was no truck available for our reservation at the original location

The check-in process was logistically smooth and the staff inside the food mart were friendly and quick, but from the moment you step inside the mart you’re breathing decades of cigarette residue. It is very, very overpowering so be warned if you’re sensitive. Even though the check in/out process is advertised as via the app, you’ll still have to step inside to retrieve and return the key. The van was filthy on the inside of the cab, with food crumbs all over the floor and dash, layers of dust, some sort of sticky substance smeared all over the middle dash and cup holders. We had to wipe everything we’d touch with disinfectant wipes before we could use it. BP down the street makes for an easy fill-up before returning.
