We waited in a long long line but were never told we could just drop our key off. Employees were untrained and were not attending to customers. Later were we called and told we would be charged for not returning the truck with enough gas which was a scam and a lie.

I was incorrectly charged for 2 days rental when I had the truck less than 4 hours and cannot get this resolved. The local dealer says I must contact corporate. When calling corporate I have waited for someone to answer for over 45 minutes. I will be disputing these charges on my credit card

While the employees were helpful, there was only one computer to process rentals and over 5 customers waiting. The computer was so slow that it took over 30 minutes or more per customer.

I am extremely disappointed that my reservation for a 10' truck was changed to a 15' truck the day prior to my reservation. I wouldn't have know about the change!!! Also, the location of the pickup WAS CHANGED which affected where I needed to go, and they didn't open at 10am as I planned, but at noon, which wasn't what I needed. Also, what I needed to do to get it before hours was not told to me (the process) in advance which pissed me off. What's worse, had I not called the day before my pick-up to verify everything, (PS did your "after-hours" check in system is TERRIBLE!) Plus, I had to pay more for gas for the larger truck, and drive it in a torrential rain storm with driving winds for 4 hours.

A truly traumatic experience: our trailer came detached from the hitch only 1 mile after we left the rental center (Athens Ohio Antique). the trailer was only held on by the chains and was veering wildly across the highway, almost causing a severe accident. When a representative came to investigate, he found that the trailer had been improperly installed, which was caused by rusty equipment that didn't function the way it should. It took us 2.5 hours to get the trailer reattached and get it back to the rental facility, and then another half while a staff member tried to back up the trailer into a parking spot. Now, come to find out that we will not be receiving a full refund as we were told, but have been charged a $40 rental fee. We had to change our moving plans to another weekend because of this disaster. Will never use UHaul again.

The customer service representative at this location needs additional training. I waited over an hour for service and to connect the trailer and was then told a light was not working. My time delay caused a delay and inconvenience for other people. I would not recommend this location to anyone. While I was waiting for my turn to talk to the representative, it was apparent there needs to be a better system of informing customers what they need to provide and what is required to rent equipment.

Location was not open at drop off. Would not recomend U Haul to my worst enemy. The whole experience was awfull. Between having to drive an additional 20 miles to pick up the truck and the wait on hold for over 30 minuets and still not talk to anyone at U Haul and after getting through on a later try to only be told that there was nothing that they could do to help us. The truck was an additional $100.00 than quoted on line rather than the $40.00 that was quoted for the extra day. I will be sure to post anywhere and everywhere that I can so that others know ahead of time what to expect. They can expect addition cost for milage since the equipment won't be at their reserved location and there will be extra fees and charges that will be added on and if they have an issue with it they are just screwed because U Haul "can't help you, that is a management decision and none are available right now".

We arrived in a snowstorm and took the towdolly to a carwash & washed it clean. We backed the towdolly next to the building. We went inside and let the counter person know this and they said, "shit, you were supposed to to park it on the other side of the building!" I offered to move it was told not to bother. Then was told there was no one available to process my contract for the returned equipment & I would call or stop by the next day to handle that process. I called the next day and spoke with the "U-HAUL" person, who asked why I called after I mentioned who I was and that I had dropped off the towdolly the day before. I explained that when I dropped off the towdolly, things seemed in disarray and wanted to follow-up. She checked the computer and the towdolly had NOT been checked in. She assured me she would take care of it and did.

The store is open very odd hours so when my self service rental didn't go as planned (I was told to take a color test which apparently was a reaction test but was given no instruction and failed) I waited on the phone for an hour waiting to be connected with someone who could help. The cabin was also disgusting, it has cigarettes, coffee stains and god knows what all in the driver compartment.

This was a horrible experience and never again, called to reserve a truck, guy says they don't have one at their location but one at their other yard, but they don't open till 11am, asked for 24 hour pick up and man gave me number to call to set it up, I call number and lady says she has it set up so I can pick up truck at my convienience, Sid I would receive a email with instructions, never recieved it so I call next day and the lady on the phone gave me a attitude when I asked her if this done correctly. So I log in to uhaul website and it has me picking up truck at a totally different location but it's still in town so ok. Get to the truck and send my pic and drivers license pic twice and was informed I was not set up for 24hr rental ugg, wait for location to open and finally get truck, lady says fuel gauge at 1/2 tank and needs to be there when I return, I start truck and it's at 3/8 tank so go in to tell her and she says she will take care of it, return truck with 1 notch under half tank which was 1 notch more than I picked it up with and they charged me 15 dollars for gas. I will never rent from uhaul again period!!!!!
