Only did five miles and the sign say 19.95 a day sale tax shouldn't be 10.00 and change but the van was useful thank you

I was overcharged for my usage. I put one card on file and was told the 81.90 would be held but not charged. I paid with a different credit card upon return as there were additional charges for a "scratch" that the lady said wasnt there before. This lady gave us the van by saying "i haven't checked it thoroughly so let me know if you see anything." We did not notice the stratch, so it seemed as though she had this accusation planned the entire time. The credit card we paid with for total charges, including the "scratch" that we didnt do, was over $180. Not only was that charged but the original card on file for the "hold" was also charged the $81 and change. This location was horrible and i will never recommend it to anyone unless they want to get scammed. I want my $81 refunded!

The woman that took care of my reservation during pick-up was extremely rude. She acted like she was doing me a favor processing me in and out. The truck was perfect but will use a different pick-up location next time I need to rent another van or truck.

While the employee at Thala was very helpful & pleasant to work with, we were given a van with a broken taillight. This caused a big issue for what should have been a quick activity (the actual moving of our stuff took less than two hours but because of this, the whole ordeal took about 6 hours). Thala did not have another van to give us, the employee could not her direct U-haul manager on the phone, and she didn't quite know what to do. The Thala employee called U-haul for us and tried to get them to help but after that employee on the phone would not help her, she handed the phone to me. The first employee on the u-haul hotline was not helpful and in fact rude, she transferred me abruptly to no-man's land where I had to call back. It was from there I had a u-haul call center employee who was actually helpful, who made roadside ticket for us, and the roadside assistance team told us to go to the U-Haul Moving & Storage of Woodside, which was very close to see if the actual U-haul employees there could help us instead of having to call a roadside mechanic. It was there that Luree McKenzie-Griffin, the General Manager, and her employee James fixed the taillight for us and worked everything out. I would only recommend people to go to the location in Woodside because that's an actual U-Haul location, not a dealer, and if there's any issue, they can work to solve it. While at Thala, they don't have any other vehicles or any U-haul specialists to assist you. You're out of luck if you have a problem and while the employee tried to be as helpful as she could, she didn't have the means to help us at all. So from here on out, I am calling the Woodside location directly instead of having the website direct me to a dealer. It would have saved me hours. Thank you.

The employee was new to the U-Hual checkout process, and navigating the computer system took a long time. However he was nice and explained it was new to him, and worked with me to solve the issues. As much as possible it would be good to ensure the employees of these non-Uhaul locations have been familiarized with the computer system. It will be more fair and beneficial to everyone.

When dropping off the Uhaul, I was leaving the keys in the truck as I had always done. My gas fuel gage was marked as full so i was returning it in the condition I had left it. Suddenly an employee chased me and my friend down and started yelling at us to refuel. The location was a Gas Station so I am assuming he was upset that I didnt use his gas station. He then started yelling in my face that I needed to move the truck to a different location where from where I had picked it up. I tried to leave and he started to scream that he was going to call the police. As far as I know I had not broken any laws. I had already paid for the Truck, and was returning it within 24hrs. This man was certifiably insane, and I feared he was going to hit me. I called the uhaul customer service hotline and complained, but thought I would do so again here.
