Drop off was 100% different. First, the truck worked out great. Clean, gas savings, ramp worked great, etc...What I would have expected. Again touchless drop off worked I have to say I will think hard about using uhaul again. The pick up process put my life and my wife's life at risk, not to mention we were 2 hrs late. I guess the difference is uhaul is in business to rent products versus a gas station owner who also does rentals...he put me and your business at risk. At what point do I get a refund or reduced rate for doing all the work for uHaul? I realize you are not responsible for Covid 19 but if I have to check myself in or drop off check out...should the pricing model be based on what level of service? Grrr....

The experience was not good. We were automatically changed to a 24/7 ride share without being asked, and I was nervous because that meant we wouldnâ€™t see a person when checking in. My fears were confirmed. When checking in, the website told me to see an attendant about a key, but there was no attendant there because it was after hours. I clicked the â€œhelp I canâ€™t get my keyâ€ button and all it said to do was to go see an attendant. I used the chat feature, and eventually got a number to call. While typing it in my phone, I accidentally clicked some button on the website; when I hit the back button, the phone number and the rest of that chat history was gone, so I had to chat with someone else. Once I got a hold of someone, he was helpful and I finally got my key. All told, it took me an hour from the time I started the process until I was driving away with the truck. There was a gas station attendant there, and he told me the issues I was having seem to happen often.
Stay away from this specific location. Very unhelpful. In this instance the key for the truck was behind the counter for counter pickup. Person on duty denied it was there until I got national representative to speak to him and then have the regional manager speak to him. Only then did he take the key off the hook, which was right I front of him, and said ?here is your key!â€ He knew it was there, but preceded to sell gas and other items in store, rather than complete my rental. It took 45 minutes to do a 5 minute pickup. If you plan to use this location do not use counter pickup option. When I spoke to the owner of the location on the phone, to put in a complaint, he was no better.
Frustrating experience internet pickup was not working and attendant was not helpful as he needed to call someone to get permission to give me the key.
When I arrived my email said to go to the front desk to pick up the keys. I went inside and the clerk told me I needed contact Uhaul and get a key for the lock box. When I called the Uhaul rep they were very nice and professional and told me that I should be getting the key at the front desk. They tried calling the clerk and he didnâ€™t answer. The Uhaul rep gave me the codes to the lock boxes to try. Two were empty and one wouldnâ€™t open. The uhaul rep got ahold of the site manager who was able to get ahold of the clerk. The clerk walked outside and handed me the keys. He had had them the whole time and had me waiting almost an hour. It was a horrible experience. He was also extremely rude to me. The Uhaul reps were great but this clerk was horrible.
I found having to process the return through the website to be frustrating and cumbersome. At the end of a long day, I didn't want to have to try navigating to the site on my phone, figure out what to click on to process the return, deal with slow cell signal, taking photos, etc. in the middle of a gas station parking lot. I understand that we are in an unusual period with coronavirus, but I strongly prefer to have representative there who can help process the return.
In the COVID world in which we live, it is apparent that NO steps are taken to clean the rental vehicle to ensure driver and passenger safety. I brought my own cleaning supplies to wipe down the vehicle to ensure I was protected as much as possible. The amount of dirt and dust taken off off common high touch points such as the door handles (in and outside), window roll down, arm rests, dashboard, steering wheel, seat etc, was proof that the vehicle had not been cleaned in a VERY long time. UHaul should do a much better job ensuring that their rentals and the services they provide DO NOT contribute to the spread of COVID. It was apparent to me that this is not the case. That there are no assurances that a driver or passenger can feel confident about the cleanliness and and risk they are taking when renting a vehicle. It comes across as a lack of respect to the customer.
The return was not recorded properly and I got a call asking why I didnâ€™t return it ... straightened out ok but should not have happened
I was billed for twice what I should have. I notified the clerk that the gas meter was incorrect, and he drew a new line on my paper and this change was not reflected in my billing. I was not told to check my mileage meter before leaving, and consequently, I was billed for twice as many miles as I used, because the vehicle was not checked in properly before I used it.
The Uhaul I rented was not functional. I was not able to complete my move on time due to the repair issue. Please send a complete refund for the amount I paid.
I did the one reservation but the guy at the counter had me redo my application and WITHOUT telling me added safe insurance. I never take the insurance and he up charged me without saying anything. Poor business model. I will not be back unless I really have to. ??
Mitt was very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous! I stopped by first on Saturday to ask questions and he was informative about the services U-Haul provides. Thank you so much for this rental! Whenever I need a moving truck or van again, I will definitely be using this location.

Staff were very friendly, but the dropoff location was not a full service UHAUL dealer, like my pickup location was. I was on my own figuring out the dropoff procedure. The automated UHAUL text message I received helped, but could have been more clear. All that said, the location was extremely convenient for my cross-country move. I will likely work with them again when I buy and move to a local house.
Everything was perfectly fine as is.
No one was there to process the truck when we returned it at 2 pm the same day we picked up the truck. Then we were charged a $20 after hours fee without our consent. The email with the receipt for the $20 included an email for questions, but my email to that address was ignored. The fee was charged to our card to 4 pm the same day we picked up the truck. We will contest the charge to our credit card company.
There was a layer of snow and ice on vehicle at pick up. Had to borrow a snow brush and scraper to clean it off so it could be driven
The truck cabin was not clean and it reeked of cigarette smoke. It literally smelled like a chain smoker lived in it. That cabin needed to be completely wiped down and sprayed with a deodorizing agent.
Personnel didn't help with the trailer pickup. There were pieces missing that the drop off folks noticed

We were happy to have the newest truck we have ever had. However, the pick-up location we had reserved was not this location. This location was farther away from where we lived which added more mileage to your reservation that was not accounted for. This location could not get the system up and running so it did not have any of our information and gave us no paperwork for our reservation. They also had none of the equipment we reserved and gave us no help in trying to get said equipment. We had to drive the truck (yet more mileage) to another location to get the much needed requested equipment we needed. This was the location we initially made our reservation with in the first place. This was very frustrating because we had a small window to move and this added a lot of time and mileage.
