Rep would not checking out vehicle. Had me do myself. Did not inform no loading ramp but talked me into $10 dolly. Scheduled pickup in black mountain no one called to say no truck available... I called Friday afternoon to verify. Supposed to pickup at 9.00 yet Patton Ave didn't open until 10.30 - again not communicated to me. Truck had damage when I picked up.

The parking situation was awful! The office was small and a bit shaby, and with only one computer, we had to wait a good bit. This was almost painful, as the bathroom was out of order, and we had driven several hours. Ha. The people, and service was wonderful though!

Get rid of the fake environmental fee. Those trucks get terrible mileage an it's obviously just a way to increase profits rather than make a commitment to being a greener business.

We initially went to a pick up at UHaul on Swannanoa River Rd in Ashville NC. They didn't find our reservation and were very unfriendly. They made a new reservation for us and sent us to Burnouts. We initially got the truck and came back after we loaded it for our our car tow. Once we got the car tow attached, the blinker on the tow didn't work. We waited and substituted the tow for another one. The blinker still didn't work. They weren't allowed to check the truck, which it appeared to be. They checked the connection to the tow, which appeared to be fine. They determined it had to be the truck, but "weren't allowed to touch it". They called the regional people who suggested we get a new truck, which was impossible as we had already spent several hours carefully loading. After another hour, it was determined I had to call roadside assistance so they could come out and check the truck, which I did. After that point, roadside assistance called back and gave permission to Burnouts to go ahead and check the truck. It was a minor issue of a loose connection under the truck which was easily corrected. That cost us 2 hours of a 13 hour drive time. Once we had left and got on the highway, it became clear that the passenger side mirror was not secure. We had observed some damage at inspection, but it would not stay in position. We had to stop along the way twice to purchase tape to wrap it up and keep it in place where the right side of the vehicle and traffic could be observed. This was extremely hazardous. It should have been detected when the truck was returned and determined that the truck needed to be repaired, which it was not. We did not call roadside assistance, as we had already been significantly delayed and with the taping job, some visibility was possible. Equipment should be inspected much better at check in and staff should have permissions to observe minor issues with the trucks should a problem be present which may be easily correctable. This was an unacceptable situation, after we had paid more than $1300.

Vehicle had 1/2 tank of fuel at pick up. Previous customer didn't fill it. Apparently UHaul charged him $3.50/gallon for fuel but then didn't fill it up for me. Net result is I had to return truck with 1/2 tank which was a little complicated. This is the first time I have ever rented a truck/car that didn't have full tank at pickup.

I rented from this location twice over several days. In both instances, Jordan was helpful in getting the exact truck I needed, and in making sure I was satisfied with my rental. Burnouts is a small location that specializes in Moped repair and sales, so is overlooked for its Uhaul affiliation. I would always choose to use this location over the larger location on the other side of town. They are more personable in this location.

Burnouts is a small location, but certainly preferred over the larger location nearby. Jordan was extremely helpful in getting exactly the truck i needed for my purposes. He explained all costs perfectly and made sure I was satisfied with my rental!

I wasn't able to use the drop off app, which is not a reflection of this location. It wouldn't go any further than trying to confirm the drop off location.

Burnouts is on a steep hill, with no room for hook-ups. The staff was helpful, but I had to drive to a flat street in order to get my car on the Auto Transport.
