I have been way over charged. The man from Advanced Car care at 114 Raliroad Ave in Antioch CA 94509 put in an incorrect starting mileage. The starting mileage was actually 62403, but he put 62313. I called him when I picked up the truck and gave him the correct starting mileage and he said that he would adjust it for me, but its obvious that he did not. Also the charge for the insurance is not accurate. On the form he gave me it says$14.00 for safe mode coverage, but on the receipt I was just sent it says $28.00 & by the way insurance was not given as an option, but he put it on my form without my approval. I only drove 14 miles, but the receipt you sent me says 134.16 miles. I am not happy and I want to be credited back for the false charges.

I was dropped off at a fenced field area. Handed a key and the U-haul rep just waved good by and drove off. The truck was filthy. It smelled like wet dogs have smoked a thousand ciguars inside the cab. Filthy kleenex on the cab floor. Even whole fruit stuck in the dash. Steering wheel sticky and windows of dirt. Discusting! 1/4 tank of gas and no instructions or walk through. I had to wash everything I wore and take a shower to get rid of the smell. I will never be back. EVER!

I've rented from U-haul for over 25 years and have gotten used to different types of rental centers from a tiny mom and pop convenience store who runs UHaul on the side to the service corporate centers in many larger cities. But in all those years, I've never experienced a place like this before. The "car service" appears to be some sort of mechanic shop for BMW and Mercedes in a very old building. You park out front and wonder where are the trucks. (more on that later). The guy behind the customer service window is not the Uhaul rep - you have to look for a dude with a laptop running around. Even tho the UHAUL app says this location can be rented remotely by your iPhone - after you go thru the whole procedure - you're told it doesn't - big waste of time. Finally you realize the guy with a laptop is the UHAUL guy who has to take your credit card manually even though you've already reserved and submitted it (Ill be checking that card carefully for fraud). Then when that process is done - he rides a bike 3 blocks away to get your truck and drive it back. You're told what a terrible neighborhood this is so they park the trucks 3 blocks away where you're expected to return it then walk back to the office with the keys. Well if its such a bad neighborhood why would i walk 3 blocks at night with keys to a rental truck? The truck was filthy and had no gas. Was told the gas gets stolen regularly. Just return it empty. Ok. Then when you finally do return it and he says all clear - they try to hit you for 30 dollars "Cleaning Fee" - sorry not ok when the truck was filthy to begin with. I strongly recommend NOT to rent from here even tho the map location looks convenient. Uhaul should be ashamed and embarrassed to have this outlet as it's run worse than a third world car rental stand.

I received no contract from facility. It was an inconvenient of a location. No room to load a vehicle on a car dollie or transport trailer. The staff was friendly. California is a joke trying to rent any truck or trailer for moving.

There was junk in the back of the truck when we took possession. There was no sign out front saying U-Haul. We had the truck for only an hour and we were charged $67!!

They were terrible. First they were not prepared for my 9:00am arrival even though I pre registered on line. First, I had ordered 24 blankets and they told me they were out of blankets. Luckily we found 12 in a returned truck. 12 was not enough and we had to use bed spreads to protect our furniture. Secondly the young lady that helped check me out said they could not print me my invoice so she asked to use my cell phone to take a snap shot of my invoice? So we finally get to the truck and the truck was supposed to have a half tank of gas, but it had more like a quarter tank. The young lady said she would update my invoice to edit the quarter tank but she never did that. When I returned the truck to another location they wanted to charge me for bringing the truck back with less than a half tank and I had to call the pickup location to have them talk to the drop off location to have them verify the quarter tank pick up. Then to top it off usually when I pick up a truck they have me verify the mileage to start off with and that was never done either. So when I dropped off the truck at the drop off location they wanted to charge me for a extra 100 miles! I only drove about 40 miles. This was resolved but not before having to prove I did not go 100 miles over the allotment. This was a very frustrating experience to say the least.

Trailer was at a different location than advertised. Trailer was trapped between cars that were being sold. Had to help attendant move trailer by hitching it and moving it. After an hour, had to call someone to move cars. After taking it back to the other location, the lights weren’t connected, worker spent another hour getting them to work! In all it took 2 and 1/2 hours to get s trailer!!

I specifically asked and received confirmation for a Uhual st a closer location. The day before I was rerouted to a Uhual 7 miles further . This caused me to pay an extra 14 dollars in mileage. Is this some kind of tactic?

We weren't able to use this drop off location and the person said "due to construction" they weren't accepting any trucks and he gave us 2 Antioch locations to drop off our rentals, the 1st location said to go ahead and keep the truck another day and bring it back tomorrow and we wouldn't be charged, but I didn't want to be charged so we went to the 2nd location and dropped off the truck and they said all our payment was worked out in SF.

I have had the worst experience with u-haul, the representative that worked at Pittsburg Location, and Manager that called me back a week after this issue was escalated. I will no longer use uhaul for any needs- and will be sure my employer uses a different service as well. Very poor customer service. This has made my moving experience so much more unpleasant than should ever be necessary. I will positively recommend a different service for all future needs.

The guy at Antioch,Ca that helped me lied about giving me my discounts for all the inconveniences I had to go threw.. Truck was on empty and the guy said that I would have to put gas in it..,the guys computer wasn't working he,then told me to go ahead take the truck and we could put information on a blank piece a paper..and when EVER his computer starts working he would put all the info in his computer. I then saw another computer on the desk. I asked him who's computer is that and he said it was his boss's computer .i said why cant you use that one..im sure it has all the info of mine when I called and reserved this truck so he act a little nervous about using it .he had mentioned that the reason the truck had no gas is because some one took the gas cap off and stopped the gas out of it he also told me he was going to give me a discount off my price off the truck and and for gas.and for the inconvenience he was 15minutes late the truck was only suppose to be $304.00 at the time of pick . But when i picked it up in Antioch,ca they charged me $324.00 the real place I reserved the truck at was in pittsburg,ca and they said they didn't have the size I needed so they told me to pick it up in Antioch, Never ever go to that u-haul in Antioch ever again..
