It rained and the truck leaked, soaking some of my boxes and had to repack. The tire was low on air and did get excellent service to fix it.

The place was nice and clean, but UHaul as a company is not worth the money. They intentionally rented a truck to me knowing full well that the truck was sent from Ford with air conditioning issues: UHaul rents trucks at full price knowing full well that the air conditioning units do not work. They are intentionally scamming people. This is my story: I was rented a trailer for a cross country move. One hour after leaving Salem, the air conditioning quit working. I called Roadside Assistance and they tried to tell me I would have to return to Boston, as there were no service centers west of Boston. Really? I kept insisting there had to be someplace. Not everyone goes to Boston for roadside assistance. They finally directed me to a place in Hartford, Connecticut. The servicer let out freon (he claimed it was too full) and sent us on our way (three hours behind schedule now). Within 30 miles, the air conditioning stopped working. Fed up, and under a deadline we spent the day without air conditioning. The next day I called UHaul Roadside Assistance. This time I spoke to a nice lady who informed me that there was nothing that could be done. "This model of Ford truck as sensor issues. UHaul is in the process of sending them back to Ford to be fixed. However, it takes a while to get them all fixed, so some of them do not work." She told us some hair brained scheme about turning it off and then back on and driving exactly 40 mph for 5 minutes, turning it back on and it will work" Well, we tried the scheme to no avail. I called back and she directed me to a service center in Pennsylvania off the beaten path. By the time we got there, it was working, but he ran a computerized test to see what the issue was. His test showed a faulty refrigerant sensor. Sound familiar? Five miles after we left the second servicer it stopped working again! Now, we are another two hours behind schedule. There was no need to keep making stops at service centers. There was nothing they could do! It was a recall, basically from Ford. "This model truck has sensor issues" as the UHaul customer assistance told me. I called and asked to speak to someone. "You have to return the truck and then management will call you to work something out, as far as a partial refund" This is what I was told. I returned the truck on Saturday, NO ONE has called me. I have health issues and I am not supposed to be in the heat. I was in the heat for three days traveling cross country. If they asked me in advance..you can have air conditioning for $1,800 or no air conditioning for $900, I would have chosen the AC. I was not given a choice and I paid almost $2,000 for a truck that they knew full well did have working air conditioning. Why do they continue to rent these trucks for full price? I am getting he run around. Why hasn't management called to settle this matter with me?

We had major car repair problems and wanted to not hurt U-Haul so we dropped it off as the car was towed into dealer. We couldn't know quick enough if we could drive trailer back as planned so your rep DEMANDED a huge cash payment and forced us to pay. NEVER use U-Haul again as there was no grace or sympathy for our situation. Cost us unexpected almost $400 more and left a bitter taste in our minds!!

Upon arrival I was greeted by a gentlemen that stated he was not taking returns that he was on holiday hours and was very rude and put out when I told him his location was where I was told to take the truck

The appearance of the facility was clean but small as it is only a small office. The man that was on duty helped us in every way from explaining the insurance to the way he hooked up the chains and how to secure a vehicle onto the transport. He also explained how to contact UHaul in case of a flat tire or blowout. He was very friendly and helpful. It was an excellent experience.
