My reservation was changed last minute to a 24/7 when I chose to pick up in person at a location further away just so I didn’t have to do mobile pickup. Wasn’t happy and then I was charged more than I should have been.

The problem wasn't with the location or the staff, both were fine. The problem was with Uhaul itself and not having the equipment I had reserved, and paid for, at the correct location. No one contacted me to let me know the location had changed and that my equipment wouldn't be there. Uhaul had also changed my reservation 2 days before my move to a location that wasn't near me. Then they didn't have the size truck I had reserved and instead the reservation agent incorrectly stated that a smaller truck would be sufficient for my move. The truck was no where near big enough, Uhaul wasn't interested in trying to resolve their mistake, and we ended up having to drive half an hour out of our way that night to rent a second truck that was sufficiently late enough for our move. Trying to file a complaint with Uhaul was equally challenging an required that I file the complaint against the pickup i location. I refused to because it wasn't the location's fault, it was Uhaul corporate. I'm still trying to get this issue resolved but suffice it to say this will be my last Uhaul rental. My warning for all customers is don't assume your truck or equipment will be at your requested location and don't expect Uhaul to let you know.

When returning the vehicle, I put back gas to the level I had when I rented the vehicle. I even showed the gas receipt and asked the person at the counter to check out the vehicle. But, when I received the statement, there was an EZ Fuel Sales charge of $6.75.

Indicating where to park the truck on return would be helpful. The obvious parking places for your trucks were all full ... so I had to park in the entrance driveway (along with a rental pickup truck) ... so you appear to have st least two trucks more than you have spaces for. (I assume this will sort out when you have all the construction finished. ) Big Picture: it was great — easy to arrange, easy to pick up and return, and a clean and well- maintained truck. Thanks!

I am feeling a little confused as I received an invoice for $0, which should have been accurate as I had already asked customer service for a full refund. However, checking my credit card slip I see I was charged the full $157.25. The original reservation (9/22) under my fiance Joshua Deane was lost at the South Portland location and they gave our trailer away. The trailer in Saco had broken electical. We had made a reservation to pick up and drop off in state and it should not be our responsibility to pay the difference of $150 for an out of state rental. On Sunday, when we had a limited time frame to move, we had to drive 45mins out of our way to Littleton MA. However, we once again could not fulfil our reservation as the previous rented did not return on time. Last we went to Acton MA and picked up a trailer, however, the gentleman who checked us out left my finace's ID in his office and we have had to have it mailed. We have rented many times and had lovely experiences. This was a disaster, hughly inconvienent, and we should not be expected to pay the difference for an out of state rental.

Horrible experience with U-Haul Scheduling and Customer Service. We booked a truck for pickup at 7am in Lynn, Ma and were told the night before we wouldn’t be able to get a truck until 11am in Acton. The people we spoke with at U-Haul were the worst and rudest customer service agents I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life, laughing at our situation and eventually hanging up on me. I will never use U-Haul again and would never recommend their horrible service to anyone.

I wouldn't recommend renting from U-Haul. I was notified on my way to pick up the van, 15 minutes before the established time, that my reservation was changed to another location 45 minutes away. Awful way to run a business. Luckily I worked with the gentleman in Acton and we were able develop a solution to the problem.

There is a computer software glitch that makes signing up nearly impossible and way too arduous at the location. Better to sign up online. The manager at this location goes above and beyond to make this a good experience despite the software glitches.
