Everyone was very nice and helpful, but there was a very long wait in checking in and there was no mutual inspection of the equipment/order before we took it. Consequently, a piece of equipment, the hand truck, was missing. It would seem that understaffing was the problem, perhaps not common.

First off when I picked the truck up the tank was empty, yes I know you need to check before you leave but when your moving you already have a lot going on and this is my first and last time using uhaul. No one cared I left with an empty tank because I already left the lot even with proof. Not happy

This was at least the third time I have rented from this location, and every time it is the same; I walk in the building, there's no one in there, and I wait 5-10 minutes for an employee to help me. There's always a line, and it always takes at least 10 minutes for each person to be taken care of. I detest this location and will never use it again or recommend it. Also- what is the point of using the website option to make a reservation and "skip the line" if you still have to go inside to get the key? I signed up for this option specifically b/c of my prior experiences here and of course I still had to go inside and wait an eternity for someone to give me my key.

Make sure they don't add additional charges after the person drops off. For example I placed fuel in the van then they charged me 54$ for fuel when they barely had gas in there at all when I picked it up

Truck had barley any gas and they told me I had to have it back by 2 even though I paid for 6 hours and that the contract time was 4. I am really disappointed and probably won't go back. Wish I didn't pay for 6 hours when I had to ruch my move.

I had a reservation a 400 MLK Blvd and there was no one there with U-haul. Just a gas station attendant that told me to call a #. Long story short, I drove 4.5 hours and couldnt get the truck I reserved. I called governer prince blvd uhaul a half hour before their closing time. They said they could help me out if I get there in 20 minutes. So I get there, get set up and in the truck within 10 minutes. They literally saved my day, and could not thank them enough. FYI, never go to 400 MLK Uhaul. Its not a U-haul, its a gas station with no u-haul employees and a few trucks in the parking lot. Complete BS location, with ZERO customer support. However I got a $50 refund for their incompetence. So for that, thank you crappy 400 mlk blvd "uhaul" owner

Put more than 1 person at the counter, especially when the line is VERY long. Stop answering the phone while the line is VERY long. Train the counter people so they stop going outside to find the Mngr. becouse they are clueless about the process. The guy who hooked up my trailer had no idea how to do it, and did it wrong. Four workers outside, five if you include the counter workers multiple trips. What are they all doing out there when nobody can get past the check in? Really glad I used the express check in, it only took me 45 minutes to get out (???). The mgr. was trying it just wasn't working.

Barely could park the van. Was overwhelmed by the amount of business. Also seemed to be understaffed.

Though this place gave us good service, it was not the original place we rented from. It was 25 mins further from the gas station we were to rent from but when we went to pick up the rental at the designated time and a more convienent location the rental was not there and the person couldn't tell us when it would be back. We did the online rental a week in advance and I expected to have the rental at the designated time. When I called customer service it took over 15 mins to get connected with a person only to be told that I could complete an online survey and they would try to fix the problem in the next 48 hrs! I told the person that was unacceptable and the problem needed to be fixed immediately as I needed the truck and had reserved it a week in advance. After 45 mins from the expected rental time, they did find a truck at the further location! I was told I would receive a $50 credit. We'll see if that really happens. I hope so. That is the least thing they can do for the inconvience and the extra mileage I had to pay as a result of the location being much farther than it should have been. Make it right uhaul!!

Overall the truck was ok but there was one problem. The back door got stuck when we were opening and closing it. The metal cable on the right side was off the track and kept jamming. We were going to call roadside assistance but then were able to get the door to move again. Anyway this should be repaired before the next person rents the truck.

The truck the self check in gave me was broken - I was charged for the broken truck and then charged for this one (even though I was specifically told that I would not see the charge for the first truck). Then he showed me the paperwork for the new truck and highlighted and told me that the estimate was for $51 and then took my card and swiped it himself. My account was originally charged $75 and when I spoke to CS I was told that this is just policy - even though I explained that if it is policy the sales people should know to tell customers this. I will NEVER use this location again and I will be sure to tell all my friends that this location is inept at their jobs and that Uhaul customer service are not interested in actually helping out at all. Also the check engine light was on in the truck I had.
