I've rented from the Surprise store several times in the past, and my experiences have always been excellent. Very nice, well mannered employees there. My experience today was excellent, as well. Now I realize this is NOT a review of the Prescott, AZ store, where I returned the trailer. However, I just have to tell someone this: I've lived in Prescott for 15 years, been to the Prescott store many times, and it is one of the worst stores I know of. My experience today was the topper. FYI, the Prescott store has a very small parking lot in front of the store, which also serves as the Return area. THERE IS NO WAY TO PULL THROUGH. Not knowing how I would return the car hauler to the designated area, and be able to get out of the lot, I decided to take it to the large storage in the rear of the store. I've actually been asked in the past if I would drive my trailer returns down there. So, I pull up to a stop, whereupon I hear "can I help you sir?". I looked over and the voice was coming from a U-haul employee, in a company pickup. That employee's name is Michael Kelton. I told him that I was there tor return the trailer, and he said "you're supposed to return it to the Return area (back up in front of the store), but I'LL SEE if I can help you". He didn't smile, he wasn't nice, and he is NOT anyone you should have representing your company. I'll drive out of my way, to another store from now on. Thanks for listening

very slow to receive the equipment, had to wait about 15 minutes before someone was available to help, and then it took about 7-10 minutes for them to complete disconnecting the trailer

My charges are wrong. When I checked in, I pointed out I had both the van and the dolly for less than 24 hours. The estimate indicated I would have dolly for two days. I was assured it would be taken care of. It wasn't. I returned the dolly in 15 hours. I expect the amended bill and charge to my credit card to reflect that. I'm sure you can fix that TODAY.

The truck I drove had a piece of molding coming out near the accelerator pedal. My foot hit it several times instead of the accelerator. This should be fixed as it might be a safety hazard.

Grossly short staffed, the 2 employees today were overwhelmed and the DM knew this yet at 2pm when I returned they didn't show up to help that crew. they let them get pounded all day long. Leadership start from the top. you want to keep good employees then be willing to step in and help out.

My name had been red-flagged by Uhaul for something that happened in 2010. I was told to call a number and talk to a representative. The first lady I talked to was very unfriendly and unwilling to help. All she would tell me was to pay someone else's fee or make a police report. Since this was all I could do, I filed a police report. When I called back, I talked to Beverly- who was amazing. She took the time to look into the issue and realized that a typo had occurred, and in 2010, a drivers license number had been entered wrong, which the wrong number just happens to be my current DL number. Beverly was helpful, considerate, and willing to investigate the issue. Based on the advice of the first lady- and her complete unwillingness to help, I filed a false police report. I am not amused by that.

We used the ride share program and we specifically requested our truck at 7 AM. We got there and the truck was not assigned to us. We waited for an hour and a half to get the truck. We had movers at our house that had to wait. We tried calling the 1-800 number that the app told us to call and stayed on the phone for 35 mins while the lady proceeded to tell us that WE were late to pick it up. Definitely NOT the case. We flagged down someone at 8:15 AM that we saw walking inside the store part of the location and asked him for help. The assistant manager was also there. They couldn't find which lock box our keys were in. No apologies, no nothing. They acted like this was the way that things always operated at this location and that things just don't always work out as they were scheduled to work! This put my husband and I in a HUGE bind with our movers and trying to move a 4 bedroom house in one day. We missed out on 2 hours of moving time when all was said and done. My parents use this location often, so maybe it was just a fluke incident, but I was very disappointed. To top it all off, we were charged TWO service fees and some random fee that we knew nothing about, making us overcharged about $65! We are now dealing with that to get it straightened out. I feel like this whole experience was a disaster from the very beginning to the very end.

...8 vehicles piled up trying to return and no one was outside (may have been on a break)....so we all got in line in the store where one clerk was on the phone for twenty minutes trying to help someone ...another lady finally came and took the next person in line and, after 10 more minutes, told everyone that if we were here to return, we should be outside...how frustrating for us all!...once we went back to our vehicles we were cleared out in about 10 minutes...
