I loved my experience, I just had different expectations for the "mobile pick-up". I still had to go into the office to pick up the key, which I was fine with, but perhaps if there was a way to make it fully "mobile" and "no contact" that would be more fitting for the "mobile pick-up" option!


Apart from the employee that I first met, the rests were not friendly or professional, and to some extend was not polite. The car oil needed to be changed, and the performance of the car also, I think, was not smooth.

I rented a U-Haul Van for couple of hours. The rental was $19.95 plus an additional 22 miles at $.79 per mile. When I delivered the Van back and asked for a receipt, my total was $72.00? When I question the arrogant front desk person about the charges, all he said to me was that's your invoice total bye! Horrible service everyone. I'm still preparing my paper work to dispute the charges with upper management. Please be extremely careful when you do business with this unprofessional looser's, arrogantes, and disrespectful individuals.

The staff were very very rude. They threatened us that they can choose to cancel our reservation even though we had a confirmation. They talked to us very arrogantly and it was a horrible experience. I'm never going back here again.

Marcel Had a long line of customers to deal with but he was very professional and courteous and when I had a self pick up truck and needed a van moved out of the way so I could get into the truck he let me know three times that he would be right with me and all in all I was on my way in about 15 minutes and it was an excellent customer service experience


Reservations online meant nothing! I never got a receipt and didn't know how much fuel to return it with. Tried calling but was on hold forever and no one picked up. Came back with no the right amount and was charged soooo much.

Hi, I had the most TERRIBLE experience with my truck rental today. First, I believe I made the reservation in the Mountain View location as I am walking distance from it. I stood in a 30 minute line, only to learn that my reservation was 18 minutes away (and the opposite direction to where I was going). I stood in a 40 minute line in Sunnyview. When checking in, I told the man I was headed 40 miles away. I was charged 80 miles. I was also told I had 1 hour and 30 minutes to return the truck (which may have happened if all our ducks lined up). I called 6 times to reach a rep to get tge pricing fixed. I couldn't get through. I picked up my tree and 4 bags of soil, only to learn that the door was stuck open. I asked 2 men to help me but no one could get it to close. I had to drive with the back of the truck COMPLETELY open!!!!!! Thankfully, I had soil to somewhat help it from slipping out of the truck. I had to take El Camino ALL the way home (16 miles). There wasn't enough gas in the truck to make it. When I picked it up there was 1/4 of a tank of gas. WHO RENTS TRUCKS WITHOUT GAS???!!!!! Thankfully, I found a gas station. I tried calling again about the pricing and was told the truck had 3/8 of a tank. BS!!!!!! In the middle of our conversation I had to hang up so I could tend to my tree which was nearly left in the road!!!!! When I finally got back to U-HAUL, I waited in the scorching sun for 30 minutes in the return line. There was no one in the outside to help. I finally went inside and JT told me no one was working out there because he was the only one currently working. Then, he had the nerve to tell me to get inline again to return it. When I got to the front, another man came back from lunch. I was second up (35 more minutes). When I told him I was trying to return my truck and get the proper mileage and pricing in, he told me I had to go outside and get in the line of abandoned trucks. I said “sure, as long as you are coming out to check me out”. He said he wouldn't help me until he reached me in the outside line (6 trucks back). Then he said he couldn't do it now anyway. That WAS THE LAST STRAW!!!!!! I put the keys in my truck and left. I've been trying to get through via phone since then. I waited an hour and 20 minutes on the line and the person hung up on me before we even said hello. IM DONE!!!! I WANT A REFUND!!!! If you don't give it to me then I'm calling my credit card and stopping payment on the broken truck you gave me with no fuel!!!!! Ridiculous!!!! Seriously,ridiculous!!!!! Bumpy ride thru out trip. May need to check shock absorber. Paid $780 for this. Will check others (Enterprise and Penske) before going to uhaul. Will tell friends about this and have them do due diligence before selecting their pick.

The male supervisor at this location conducts in a very aggressive and rude manners toward customers in my last visit he started an argument and threatening with charging me double the amount instead of providing the right information and services as part his job.instead he made insults and racial remarks . Very bad customer service and bad fir business.


1. NO MASK was worn in the store or when assisting me. Daniel was the associate. 2. I ordered 36 blankets but they told me they could only give 12 when picking up. Daniel said they only had 36 total and couldn't give anymore than the 12. He then asked someone in the back and then said he could give 18. I spoke with the assistant manager Cass who said he could only give 12. I ended up with 18 but poor customer support. I then called the 800 number to extend my reservation,and was told I couldn't and if it wasn't return they would repossess the apparently no one has ever needed to extend before. Will not use uhaul again


The employee who provided service to us was very kind and nice and gave right option for us.


You have many trucks, a great selection. However there is almost no or limited parking available for customer's car while awaiting rental transactions. Other then that no changes needed. Customer service is friendly. kind and efficient.

There was only one person working at the time and it took a bit to get help. Also, they did not have all the moving blankets needed and I had to go to another location for them. The ruck smelled like cigarettes which was not a great experience. The truck was older and when going uphill it would stop working.

I am very angry with U haul. I will avoid you in the future. I had a confirmed reservation days in advance for a one way rental from Sata Clara Ca to South Lake Tahoe Ca. You gave my reserved trailer away to some other customer and redirected me to pick up my trailer first in Sunnyvale then in Belmont Ca 30-60 minutes away. I had chose the Santa Clara location as this was next to my appliance pickup within 5 minutes 1 hour before closing. You did call me on the day before of this awful change but I was fishing off the coast and out of service from phone support. I did not receive any phone text until after my reserved time the next day. How dare you put profits before customer service. Seriously, this is like a airline reservation and you change the departure airport to maximize your profit. I was forced to do a round trip rental for 4 days.
