Tracy on the phone was incredibly helpful and polite. She saved me $100 and was quick and efficient. Connor helped attach the tow dolly onsite and was also very helpful, highly communicative about instructions, and should probably be promoted to management. Location and van and employees were great. Your iOS app SUCKS WHALE! OMFG, it would not recognize my password to log in, and I had to go find a desktop computer to reset my password in the middle of the fucking night. By that time I had already dropped my keys in the drop box, but no, I still had to log in on my phone and share photos and location info, which I can’t do because your iOS app SUCKS WHALE, and I could not log in. F- to your tech development/it team when this means we have to stand in a dark parking lot in a sketchy part of town at midnight because one of your departments can’t get their act together

Only complaint is that the Seattle guy didn't explain to me what the light on the dash about towing was about. When I dropped off the truck, the guy said I drove all the way from Seattle to California, NOT using overdrive and wasting a lot of gas. The Ballard guy was nice but didn't explain enough to a 69 yr old woman because another customer came in. If the sticker in the truck had mentioned "overdrive", I would have understood it.

The man who works at Leary Uhaul is very unpleasant each time we have gone in, and is unwilling to check other locations for trucks or even come out and do the walk around like someone has always done at other locations. He severely lacks any customer service skills and clearly does not enjoy working here. Rent at your own risk and know that he will not even pull up other locations to check their inventory like others have done for me. Last time we were told there were no pickups and then the same three sat on the lot all day. This is the second or third time I've had issues with this location and I will avoid in the future.

The cab of the truck hadn't been cleaned out before we got it, so there was trash, cardboard pieces, a water bottle, and crumbs everywhere. We didn't see it before the lone employee (a blonde-ish man with a ponytail who had long, unkempt nails and never once looked at me while talking/ giving me orders) left us with it. He started it, left it running, and passed off the keys and went back inside before I even reached the doors. We rented at 1:00 (but didn't get checked out until close to 1:20) to be back by 5:00. He didn't say anything about closing right at 5:00 so when we pulled up at 5:03, the lone employee wouldn't even open the doors to let us know that we should check out via the app. So we sat there for 10-15 minutes waiting for him to come out, since we could see him in there with a customer. When my boyfriend walked up to ask what we should do, he actively ignored both of us and wouldn't look up from the computer. The truck itself drove fine and fit our needs, but I'd rather patronize a business with at least some semblance of customer service. Or even just to be treated like a human being and looked in the eye.

I was told when I asked if we could return the truck to Ballard but I couldn’t. When I dropped it off in Federal Way where we originally agreed for me to drop it off they told me I could’ve changed it and that I should complain. That it was wrong of them to tell me that. My truck was also a little too small I had to go back with my car and finish up the job a couple times.. I feel like it could’ve been discussed they also put the mileage wrong and then tried to say I had to pay more for mileage although the guy at Federal Way said they shouldn’t affect that. I told him I was moving from Seattle to Tacoma and that’s all I did was one trip from Seattle to Tacoma

Until now I had never tried using the mobile app for a rental return. After working all day at a job that is physically demanding, and an evening of heavy lifting to complete this move, I found it time-consuming and frustrating to be required to take so many photos of the vehicle in the app.

The agent seemed annoyed, and he was rushing things. He asked me to sign without going through the details of the contract. We asked him if we can cancel the dolly rental because it was too small and we didn't feel it would be useful, he said yes, but didn't remove it from the bill. He also charged us for the pads, even though we didn't break the seal. Now I have to go through customer service to dispute the charges.

The place is understaffed. There was always a line of people because there was only one employee that was working very hard to do everything in the store. We rented a hand truck that was not provided with our truck rental.

My quote for for $531.00. I was promised a $50 refund due to a scheduling error, which I never received. I was charged $730.00 and was to received the balance back upon dropping off at the dropoff location within the 8 days, which I did. I still have not received any refund to my account. Customer Service was sending a "text" to a manager to assist me. Nobody has called me, no money back. You hold on the line for 32 minutes. Finally you hang up and hit the options for reserving a truck and a rep answers right away. I am not extremely unhappy with U-haul and its customer service, because you all make promises and don't keep any of them

Had made reservation for a car dolly, which turned out to be broken. The employee was not helpful in finding a Uhaul location where we might rent a dolly. We spent 1 hr on the phone with various Uhaul stores and the Uhaul customer service center to check on the availability of a dolly. Your website's search results as well as the customer service were completely inaccurate as to which store had a dolly. The whole affair caused us to start our journey 7 hrs later than planned.

I mentioned it to the attendant, but I want to share here too. I'm very allergic to cats and the van I rented clearly had transported a cat in the cab. The two seats were covered in hair, but I was on a deadline and didn't think about. About 4 minutes into my drive, my throat began to itch and my allergy kicked in. I had to drive the whole way with the windows open. I wish they had at least lint rolled the seats. Really disappointed I had to pay full price for such a poorly maintained van.

I did not get the second dolly I had requested as part of my internet order but did not realize this until we got ready to load the truck. Also, at the time I had placed my rental order on line the moving pads were still listed as a bundle of 12, so I ordered 1 bundle. However, between placing my order and pick up (about 3 weeks), U-Haul changed the bundle size from 12 to 6, so I only received one bundle of 6 pads. The website now shows that one bundle has 6 pads. The invoice was quickly adjusted for the pads and missing dolly when I turned the truck in and I found the staff to be very courteous.
