The tire pressure light was on when I got the truck but I waited and waited for someone to come help me and it was taking so long so I left. Luckily I didn't get a flat on the trip anywhere. I also reserved a dolly for the heavy furniture but there were none left when I picked up the truck.
No specific issues with this location, but the booking process had some issues...first it reassigned my pick up to another town...were the location was only open for a half an hour in the morning. Then to move back the the original location I needed to change to a smaller trailer. Then when checking the trailer in after hours, the website did not accept the photos I tried to upload.
Check in employee was very welcoming and efficient. She brightened up my day during a stressful move. Little things like that make a huge difference in a customer's day and I thank you for employing her.
Too long a wait in line to get equipment.
The truck I originally reserved was unavailable when I arrived. The workers were great in helping me find alternative while there and they saved me a massive headache. However it would make a big difference if there was a better system to ensure the reservation is there when it supposed to be. I was able to adapt but had needed to move larger items moving would have been impossible

Manager is the worts. He is ever there and employees tell me he often doesn't show up to work.
When I submitted the online reservation, the drop off location was optional. Once I arrived, I was told that I could only get a local truck. I had to make a 420 mile round trip to return the truck - no happy.
I was charged a fuel fee of $9.50 for driving 16.4 miles. When I inquired about the charge, I never received a response.

First off my experience was terrible, uhaul poorly aged my whole reservation and as a result I had to pay double what it should have cost $ . I reserved a 20' truck in fort Bragg , the truck never showed up so I had to scramble for another . Thin I reserved a 20 foot truck in San Rafael, when I went to pick it up it never showed up , so I had to rent a 10 â€˜ truck and a trailer in San Rafael, this required me to double my mileage because I had to drive from San Rafael to Mendocino and back instead of a one way trip had I gotten the original 20' in Mendocino . Plus I had to pay extra time for movers for driving, an for packing the truck . Uhaul so far has not been helpful
Luis was an excellent person in this location, there was not anything available when e got there but he help us to find at 3 pm one that was perfect size we did every thing in short time i have to thank him
Person checking in vehicle was rude, was changed a cleaning fee for dirt that was already in the van when I rented it.
They should make an effort to clean the equipment.
However I returned the truck with the same level of gas and was charged over $10 for fuel. Not a good way to treat customers.
1) The location did not have a truck onsite to fulfill my reservation. 2) The location did not have any of the products I had purchased (blankets, dolly, etc.) onsite. I have been erroneously charged and have requested a refund. I will not recommend Uhaul. They did not respect the reservation contract terms.
The windshield of the van was covered in brown dust and the hood had bird droppings all over. The service on the other hand was great.
truck was in horrible condition, engine was dangerously weak. Tires would just spin when trying to go up a hill, even when the truck was empty.
I ordered and had confirmed an enclosed trailer that was to be picked up in Sacramento CA. A couple of days later I was told it was unavailable. I had to down grade to an open trailer and return it to San Rafael. The. Confirmed enclosed trailer was a one way rental to be dropped on Bishop CA. It was a huge problem, but I got done what needed to be done. I guess I can't trust UHAUL any longer.
While the person at the location was helpful to me in my disappointment I am still, nonetheless, disappointed with the whole experience. I booked a 17' truck, noticed that the location reported that I would receive a 15' truck, so I called. I was not able to get through with the actual location and instead connected with a call center who said they would "pass my message on". I never received a call back. When I arrived I was told that I would not be getting a 17' truck and that I actually had a *cargo van* for my reservation. How can errors like this happen? They said, "luckily", that there was a 15' truck they could give me. The utility dolly nor the furniture dollies I requested were not available, but "luckily" an appliance dolly was available. None of the moving items I purchased in addition to the rental were available, so I had to go pick out all those items in the store. What is the point of having a website at all if: 1. Truck reservations are not reservations at all and ultimately it's whatever is available when I show up? 2. Additional truck-related items, such as dollies and pads are first-come-first-serve? 3. Additional items I purchase are not selected by an employee and ready when I arrive? I ended up donating one of my furniture pieces to a neighbor because it would not fit in my 15' van and there was not time to make two trips.
I chose self checkin and still had to go inside and wait in line though. I was trying to avoid this, so it was very frustrating
We pre-ordered 2 Dollies a week in advance, when arrived they told is they did not have any.
