The alignment was severely misaligned. The vehicle constantly pulled to the side. The "check oil" light came on with a warning that the oil was only at 10%. The staff did not care when I told them - it was the end of their day, so they thanked me for telling them about their negligence and billed me on Monday. The floor heaters did not work - my feet were literally numb for the entire drive. I forgot to mention this at the time as I was pissed off and trying to take the high road. I reserved a vehicle, but still had to call the afternoon before to make sure they didn't rent it to someone else. Embarrassing and dangerous level of service. The alignment being so out of whack could have been disastrous for a less experienced or or less attentive driver. There clearly needs to be a safety review at this establishment. A 10' truck was booked Sept 18 for Oct 25, however 3 days prior, U-Haul notified us that we would be getting a 15'. This longer vehicle posed a parking and manoeuvring problem for us at our residence, causing us to load items using our own dolly and the truck ramp which involved more lifting and lowering and pushing of items which was difficult for us as we are seniors. The original plan had been to back the 10' up to the level deck at the rear of the house. Due to the distances and time involved to drive to other U-Haul centers, going to fetch a 10' truck at another depot was not an option. We also expected either unlimited mileage or at least some grace mileage included since it was a round-trip rental. The speedometer was in miles per hour only, which made keeping to the speed limit a problem (in Canada we go by km per hr) and there was no cruise control. Because the rental company is not open on Saturdays or Sundays, we had to rent on a Friday and return on Monday for a total of $496. Whenwe received the phone call telling us we would be getting the 15' truck, the question was posed "why? as we had seen one sitting on the lot all the previous week?" and we were told, "someone in St. Stephen needed it" ... we thought booking the truck well in advance would have given us priority, but I suppose U-Haul saw it could make more money by renting us the longer truck to go to Sussex, NB and back. Since customer satisfaction doesn't seem to be at the fore front of U-Haul's operation, we were actually surprised you even wanted a review from us ... for all the good it will ever do us, we almost didn't write this review because it is doubtful we will rent again from U-Haul in the future.william V.

The location of the uhaul company was fine, but dealing with the reservation online and by phone was totally ridiculous. It took very close to two hours to finalize my reservation and get the key to the truck. I was told initially that I did not need to create a uhaul account on the website... just to call the number the morning of the move and they would walk me through it. I called the number that morning and was told I needed to create an account. Then it took the two hours to get it finalized. This held up the people helping me load the truck. I even lost one helper due to their available window to help me. I told the person on the phone that I would appreciate a discount for the time I lost. She said a manager would be in touch with me, but one hasn't reached out to me yet. I am not impressed with the uhaul service at all!ELISSA A.
