They processed the paperwork, but didn't appear to otherwise service the equipment in any way. They hadn't even checked the equipment in from the previous evening. I had to point out that it had a hand truck and a dolly and three bags of blankets in the back before I left.Bruce W.

The uhaul drop off location I was at was also a vape/smoke shop. He was late to even open up. After being first to be at the door to return my uhaul he had 5 customers that he left me for to go sell his vape products. Then would return to me to continue my check out. That was very rude. Not only did I have a horrible experience with the uhaul trailer but another horrible experience trying to return it... I believe I'll consider other rental places before renting another uhaul.GREGORY R.
We rented two trucks and had to go to two different locations to pick them up. When picking up the first truck, through no fault of the person working, their computers were down and it took a long time to get the truck. We had to drive one truck back to our house and then drive back out the other direction to pick up another truck. Disappointed that both trucks could not be in the same location.ROSS O.
they had ZERO idea of the process, no offer to assist in the install/check. I fully recommend going to the Belt Highway if possible. Good thing i'm familiar with the equipment, someone else could be dangerous. I'm not kidding here.Brett H.
Gentlement this location was very professional very helpful the people running the you haul dealership at North belt in Saint Joseph Missouri however was rude they lied about availability and was totally unprofessional I have already put the thing on the Internet here and have got 205 responses that said they will never use that location so whoever is managing your story there on the weekends you need to fire himJason P.
The clerk was vaping during the process. She did not know what she was doing, asked me for my Passport! Kept asking same questions over and over. She asked me 4 times where I worked. I had prearranged the pick up and given all information needed then. What should have taken maybe 10 minutes took almost an hour.Jerron W.

The trailer we rented had previously had the emergency brake on the tongue pulled & had clearly not been rented for quite awhile as it had rusted solid. Because the lady at the store was working alone & could not leave the store unattended, she was unable to provide assistance & also did not have any lubrication to try to fix the issue. I ended up having to go to the convenience store next door & buy WD40 to spray on the emergency brake & use a hammer to force it free so the brakes would not be locked. This required much force which ended up denting my tailgate & put us 45 minutes behind our expected departure time. I would highly recommend that remote stores be required to have someone that can provide assistance if they want to offer your rentals, should review the equipment on the lot frequently for problems & should also be equipped with supplies necessary, should things like this occur so your renters don't have to work on your equipment or pay for supplies to do so. The lady was very apologetic & did reach out to an area manager to try to find an alternative trailer but not until the end of our ordeal, at which time we had finally corrected the situation ourself.Mike H.
This was hands down the most rude customer service experience up my entire life. This location should not be part of your return inventory. The clerk was rude the moment I walked in the door. She acted like she couldn't be bothered to do this job and that I was a huge inconvenience to her. I would never recommend anyone going to the location even to do the business that they specialize in. I have contacted your office and I am waiting for a phone call from your managementmary L.
The actual location is fine. My problem is with Uhaul in general. They quote one price online and then charge you a different price once you pick up. Jeremy, the "area manager" in St. Joseph is a real piece of work. No customer service skills at all! Not empathetic to a customer's needs. Unable to admit fault. Unable to resolve conflict. He truly fails at ALL of the qualities most companies look for in a manager. I sympathize for the employees at Smokers Hub that have to deal with his incompetence. The fault is certainly not on them! Again, it is not the location that is bad, it is Uhaul that I will have a hard time ever recommending or using again .Tim M.
The lady at the counter didn't know how to work the computer so it took forever to get out of there.Christian D.
Made a reservation online several days in advance and went to pickup the trailer at the time I reserved it and the employee said she doesnt know how to do it and supposedly the internet wasn't working. I had to wait way past the reservation time to actually get the trailer. So I called uhaul customer service was placed on hold over 30 minutes and kept being transferred to different departments till at last I got someone that got the job done. All of this went on never once was there an apology for their failure of keeping their part of the agreement also no discounted rate to make up for their mistake. This is totally and completely unprofessional and unacceptable. It is a very low standard of ethics and conduct for doing business.Samuel Y.

Lady at the shop was very helpful. I questioned why we were being charged an extra $15 and it stated because the gas was not the same level. I took a picture of the gauge and the sheet of paper she printed and it was the same. She called U-Haul corporate office and argued on my behalf. I still paid the money and will call corporate myself to argue it again. But this lady went above and beyond to help.Amanda R.

Don't go there. I was cheated, charged for a 3 day rental when I returned the trailer clean and before the end of the first day. Lady is unhelpful, spent all the time on the telephone with her supplier of cigarettes. Never will go there again. Almost ready to dump U-Haul forever!!!Nancy O.
I was quoted 44.95 and got charged for 95 bucks. I only had the two dolly for less than 8 hours and was charged what seemed like 2 days. There was damage to the fenders in the dolly that I had to tie down to even us itjoel A.
