U-Haul sucks. I reserved a 26 foot truck over a week in advance and I was supposed to receive an email confirmation the day before the move, and it did not arrive. Called U-Haul and was told that I was all set with the U-Haul 26' truck for the next day. I showed up and they didn't have a 26' truck on hand. It was rented out to somebody the day before and it was not returned. As a matter of fact, no truck of any kind was available to rent and I had 8 people waiting at the home to move out of, for me to show up with the truck.. I received my $50.00 credit for not having the truck and had no choice but to rent a small U-Haul trailer to try and move an entire house with. The two ladies working at your location were as helpful as possible, but they are negatively impacted by the horrible and bogus reservation system in place. They should get paid big bucks for having to deal with pissed off and screwed people who show up at U-Haul on moving day with a reservation, only to learn that they don't actually have a truck to rent. I will share my horrible U-Haul reservation system that leaves people like me without a moving truck with everybody. When you look online and find a bunch of websites dedicated to other folks sharing horrible U-Haul experiences, you realize that U-Haul really does suck. U-Haul U- Suck.

Was told to drop my rental off anytime Sunday. Dropped it off Sunday and they billed me for an extra day . They said it was late . How could it be late when I was told anytime Sunday ? I was less than 2 hours over what they said was my check in date . And the funny thing is they charged my credit card with NO authorization from me . I found out when I looked at my bill ! Not good bussiness ...

The Rochester folks marked the truck as returned full even though it was only half full--this is because I got the truck in SC only half-full, regardless of what the contract indicated.

We arrived at the location and rang for return but no one was there, so had to return via mobile.

We completed the mobile pick up system that failed miserably! The female employee we encounter on the lot first thing was rude and foul mouthed. The manager/owner per the name tag was rude and sent us off looking for the truck saying it would be running since we used the mobile app... it was not and we had to return to the counter, as we walked towards the office the female employee said what are you looking for we told her what and why we were back on the lot (sent my man in office) she said "he is a fucking idiot" we return to the office only to be treated like we were interrupting the morning break! After 45 minutes we depart with the unit. We return the unit with the proper gas and clean no damage. My husband arrived ahead of me with the unit and was waiting in the office I walked towards the office the juvenile in charge asked if she could help me. I stated no I am with the truck you are looking at her response was there is a black guy who just came in with this truck....wow so she could see his color not so good for her because he is a customer and my husband and yes black and she could not comprehend the situation but it gest worse! the bill totals 140.00 and change my husband gives her all 10 dollar wills which threw her in a fit... she said this is going to make her deposit very difficult and that she needed big bills and then proceeds to inspect the bills as if counterfeit I asked do you not have a pen for that she snapped and said she knows how to look for fake money, to which I informed her I work as a bank teller for 10 years and also know how to tell fake money. Her attitude was so bad a friend with us went to our truck got a 50 and two 20 so she did not have all those 10's. after she continued to inspect the 10 she finally gave us back the 9 the dollar bills for the larger bills and completed the transaction 25 minutes later and then forgot to give us our change, when reminded about her mistake she said we would have made her have to complete a cash overage report and she would not have been happy! NOT HAPPY THIS PLACE HAS NO IDEA WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AND THE VALUE WE AS CUSTOMERS ARE TO THEM. YES WE ARE RENTING YOUR EQUIPMENT BUT WE PAY DEARLY TO US IT!!! I HOPE SOMEONE GETS TO ME BECAUSE THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE HAD IN 30 YEARS. IF YOU CARE MY EMAIL IS KENE0707@YAHOO.COM

Makayla was SO helpful, friendly, and really knows her business. It's clear right away that she's an owner who really cares about each rental experience. I accidentally left my credit card in the reader, and she called and kept it safe for me until I came to pick it up. And the truck smelled very nice too.

The only complaint I had was that I reserved the truck for the West Henrietta location and had to pick it up Ajax Road - it added time and inconvenience. Please note that the employee at Ajax Road was helpful and courteous.

The AJAX drive location is awesome. Very helpful and have always works hard to make sure that I have the right product to meet our needs. I wish the Customer service at AJAX could be consistent at all locations

Overall it was fine and convenient, but I have to say that $0.99 per mile is a bit high for my taste. I went to a different location first that did not have what I needed available and they searched for one they found at this location, then took care of the reservation so it was waiting when I arrived. Frankly I did not know this location existed or I would have gone there first as it's very close to where I work, and I worked that morning before picking up the truck.

We initially reserved our van for Tues 5/29 for only 24 hours. Unfortunately, at the last min, we find out our new place wasn't gna be ready til 6/4. I called the 1800 num and they said that was fine, they understood. A staff member named Miranda I believe kept harrasing us and saying she didn't care, the truck had to be returned right away or she would start the recovery process. We had no where to put our furniture, etc and they were charging my card everyday. She was so rude and nasty to us. It was awful.

I would like to submit a customer compliment. The representative I dealt with at this location was Miranda. She truly did an outstanding job! I think the location may have been short-staffed on the day I came in, because she was the only staff person there. She had vehicles being returned, the phone was ringing, and there were 3 customers in the lobby. Miranda handled it all like a pro. She was witty, personable, energetic, and courteous. Her customer service skills were exemplary. If your company has any sort of employee recognition program in place, Miranda would be a most deserving recipient. Thank you Miranda, for such a positive experience. Well done!
