He didn't check in the truck when I returned it on October 1st. It wasn't due back until October 3rd. Then I get a threatening voicemail from customer service rep his name was Don telling me they were going to report the truck as stolen. I called back and talked to him. He was supposed to contact the location to confirm that I dropped off the truck and send me confirmation. However he didn't note my account or call the drop off site. So I get another voicemail from another customer service rep Sandra wanting to talk to me about my late dropoff. I returned the truck two days early how about a refund for those days. I will never use Uhaul again.

Not a big deal but....advise out-of-state customers of rules/laws that are unique to Florida. I was pulled over by a state trooper for not stopping at an inspection station. Apparently in the state of Florida all U-haul trucks and trailers are required to stop for inspection at certain inspection stations on the side of the highway. Now, to be fair, there was a sign. But, not being from Florida, I didn't think to look for that type of sign. I only received a warning, and the officer inspected the truck while I was stopped on the side of the highway but had I known I would have pulled into the station instead of a dangerous place like the side of I-75 north.

THe only problem was that the drop off location we were given didn't exist. Upon going to 2801 Ogeechee Rd, I was told that they are no longer a drop off location. Fortunately she instructed me how to get to 3802 Ogeechee Road to drop off the truck.

The contract stated the gas gauge level was 1/2 tank, but the actual level was about an 1/8 lower than 1/2 tank level.

I rented a truck at u-haul in Port Charlotte on 08/16. Since I paid cash, Angel Ortiz - who works there - told me I had to pay an extra deposit in cash (U$100). When he printed the contract I noticed that the deposit wasn’t listed, so I asked how I would get the refund since I wouldn’t be able to prove I even paid that, so he wrote a note on the contract. As predicted, once I got to the store were I delivered the truck they told me they wouldn’t be able to refund me since it didn’t appear in the system, and told me to solve this directly with the Angel or Steve (also receiving this e-mail), the store manager. I have been trying that for the last 3 weeks, but after saying they would transfer me the money they simply stopped replying. Absurd!!
