I was given my van with about a quarter of a tank of gas, perhaps a tiny bit less than 1/4. I had to then drive around looking for a gas station before heading to New Jersey. Rentals really should be given with a full tank, or at least half. It was pretty inconvenient.GUSTAVEA T.

I had called to ask if I could change the drop off location, I spoke to a woman named Yvonne who was absolutely LOVELY. I don't know if she was at the park slope location specifically, but if you know who she is, please give her a raise. She was incredible. When she patched me through the number where someone was meant to help me figure out switching locations, they were unbelievably rude, impatient, and snapped at me as I asked questions, as if I was an imposition and wasting their time. When I asked them to kindly not be rude, they said "i'm sorry you're taking me that way." At the end, when I asked them for their name, they paused, and clearly gave me a fake name because I'm sure they thought I was going to report them. They said "Mary." I didn't press, but they had a bit of a higher pitched, nasally voice, and it was hard to tell over the phone if it was a gentleman with a more feminine voice, or a woman with a slightly masculine voice. Either way, it was a profoundly unpleasant experience, and I rarely ever make a comment on customer service. If this person can be identified, I would encourage strongly that they are taught how to communicate with patience and kindness to customers.DYLAN C.

The drop off location did not exist. There was a person sitting in a car who said the location was closed for the day and said I had to drive around and look for a place to park on the street. I was unable to find a place to park that would allow overnight parking. I was told the vehicle would be picked up the next day Sunday. I had to drive to a different location. Total drop off time over two hours. Then I was charged $27.00 because I ran low on gas looking for a place to park and then having to drive to a different location The service was so bad a cancelled a different rentalJOHN M.

We rented a Uhaul pickup truck and trailer a month in advance. The trailer we were given was NOT the one on our reservation. Our Uhaul location in Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY was NOT able to honor our reservation and only offered us a two-wheeled tow dolly as opposed to the four-wheeled auto transport trailer we reserved over a month in advance. They were also not able to find us another trailer at any other location. We even checked in online the night before, apparently for no reason. We were extremely disappointed in their poor service but we were left with no other choice but to settle for the less stable tow dolly, which led to an accident.dmitri S.

After arriving I was notified that this particular location doesn't have was I was promised. Then , They send me to downtown Brooklyn location. I lost an hour to get there. Charged for a dolly and furniture pads I never received; called to have it corrected and waited on hold for 20 minutes while nobody answered, listening to a recording telling me to have my contract ready so I could be "quick and efficient" while getting no such service in return. The trailer was damaged, the gate didn't close on both sides and one of the emergency chains was missing the rubber clasp which meant it bounced off a number of times during the trip. Also, they told me that I was good to leave the trailer and then never checked it out for me so they thought I still had it for an extra day, had to call customer service to resolve.
