Nobody told me I was supposed to check my texts before I left with the van - in order to approve any pre-existing damage to the vehicle and gas/mileage. I found out when I asked because the gas tank was lower than stated on the initial rental form. Please let customers know about this so they can do this before driving off.

I was sent to this location, because the previous location at 215 S Main, Fallbrook, CA failed to give us the trailer that we reserved over a month ago. They also suggested the cargo van will be of the same cost, however failed to inform that we are responsible for pay $120 more in gas.
I found that this company really nickel & dimes it's customers. It would have been nice to have some slack with what is going on right now with the Covid virus. Plus the fact that you nickel and dime your customers, but give no credit when put to much gas in your vehicles.
Extremely slow process for the check in. Don't understand the need to check in on line prior to pick up date and time to only repeat the whole check in process on site? Not enough staff to handle the customer traffic at the time of my pick up. I had a 10am reservation and wasn't helped for approximately 30 min. Unacceptable! The guys in the yard were very good however. Both the yard attendants on the pick up and return were helpful, professional and timely. I would recommend more office staff and eliminate one of the check in processes.
Be more accurate reguarding fuel Don't let personal issues result in customer abuse and overcharging for fuel and rental fees Lady working today at 5:30 Monday the 3 rd of aug. Is only reason I will use uha in future Nicest lady Bearded guy was unsympathetic to my situation , lied about fuel usage and overcharged me on rental . I believe personal issues was the cause .
You guys are charging me for missing items when I never rented them. I rented a furniture car but the store didn't have it so I never rented it. Now you are charging me for the cart. Not cool and I want my money back along with the credit you owe me.
Not sure the online check in option made my experience any faster.
The chains on the tow dolly were covered with some sort of grease or oil so when I secured my vehicle my hands got insanely dirty
The crew here was fast, efficient and well trained. Drop off was a breeze.
We made a reservation for 2 pm on the 31st at the oceanside Blvd location. There was no truck for us. We had to drive an additional 20 min to get a smaller truck, that was said to be the only one available. Once we drove 15 min we get a call saying that truck is only available until 7 am the next day. This caused us to have to make additional trips due to smaller truck and we had to move the entire night in order to get the truck back in time. And we had to drive further miles to drop the truck back off. This was all a nightmare . And we were told they would give us only $50 for the mistake which cost us much more in the end. We are VERY disappointed and frustrated by this experience with U-Haul.
All staff was helpful and pleasant. Very simple check out and check in process and not time consuming.
I did not get his name, but the gentlemen who accepted our trailer return was great! Super helpful and very generous with unloading all the blankets and two small boxes that needed to be transferred to our personal vehicle. If you have incentives for name mentions or great service, please go out of your way to find out who accepted our trailer at 6:45pm July 30th at the Oceanside location. Thanks!
Everything went well. Nothing more to ask for, although calling another contact at 7:30 AM is a bit ridiculous for Uhaul to require.
I was told to return the truck to Bob's Gas, which abandoned and empty. Thanks for the wild goose chase Uhaul. Then I had to beg the other drop off location to take the truck, but i had to sit on hold forever with your customer svc first. This made us miss our appointment to pick up our rental car. Plus i was charged 100 dollars over what your website quoted.

Potential problem with two waiting lines marked on the floor, just one person behind the counter. I witnessed slight confusion when customers entered the store area.
My contract stated the fuel tank had 3/4 of a tank, but in actuality it had just over 1/2 tank. I took pictures of the mileage and fuel level, and spebt an hour on the phone trying to tell somebody. The person I spoke with was just complaining about the computer not working right and eventually just stopped talking altogether. The vehicle felt like it was shaking itself apart when driving it. When I dropped off the vehicle I took several pictures, but the link uhaul texted me to use to return the vehicle just displayed my reservation info. There was no place on the web page to indicate I was returning the vehicle. I ended up sending a direct message that I returned the vehicle. Not a very pleasant experience at all.
I'm shocked at what a negative overall customer service experience I had from start to finish using UHaul to rent a trailer for my move from San Diego to Salt Lake City. From the beginning, when I called to book an appointment for having wiring added to my hitch, I was told I'd be given the first available appointment at 7 a.m. and the install would take 30 minutes. When I arrived at the El Cajon location at 6:45, I was not the first person to be in the bayâ€”in fact, my appointment didn't begin until 8:45. I was not told in advance that my trunk needed to be cleared for install, so that further delayed my start time as I had to move some boxes and a bike rack out of the way. That would have been good information to have when I booked the appointment. Additionally, I was contacted the Thursday evening before I was scheduled to have an 8am pickup on Friday for my trailer and told the trailer I had reserved more than a week in advance was not available at my scheduled location or any location nearby. Instead, I would be given a trailer of a different size (larger than I wanted to tow) and it would not be available until 11:30 am on Saturday, a full day and half later. This meant I had to reschedule packers/movers to a day later, and incurred the cost and inconvenience of staying in California an additional night. Then, because of the mid day pickup, I was not able to make the drive from So Cal to Utah in a single day, and again incurred the cost and inconvenience of spending the night along my route on Saturday evening. Finally, while driving and towing the trailer, I was pulled over on the interstate because the metal chains used to instal the trailer were too long and had been dragging on the road causing danger sparks on the road in an area with high fire danger. When I stopped to inspect the chains, I noticed they were almost completely worn through because of the dragging. This was a significant safety concern and occurred late at night, on a busy highway, in the dark. I had to tape the chains up in place to keep the out of the way. When I dropped off the trailer up arrival in Salt Lake City, I reported this to the UHaul receiving employee who seemed, at best, uninterested and unconcerned. I only hope that chain is not used again, for the safety of the next driver. Finally, I was surprised to see a number of additional fees on my final bill that were not mentioned when I made my rental reservation onlineâ€”the original total was for $374 and the final bill was for $444. I would have preferred to know the ACTUAL total when I made my reservation. Overall, I was shocked at the consistently bad service I received from UHaul and will not be using again or recommending to anyone. Any one of the incidents on their own could have been overlooked, however, the consistently bad service was overwhelming disappointing.
Not send me 30 miles away from my reserved location to pick up a defective truck that had a tire blow out on the highway. Have your roadside rep listen when told I'm on the I-10 East mike marker 41 and not Salome Highway exit 411 which caused us to sit on the side of the highway for 5 hours! The worst moving experience I've ever had. And I've always used U-Haul. The bad thing is this is a temporary move. I'm having a home built and will need a truck in about 5 months. At this point I'm not sure I'll use U-Haul again.
Horrendous experience. The man at the pick up was the only competent employee. the northern Nevada call center rep was a rude, confused, unprofessional & no help. a dozen calls to uhaul & was on hold for up to 52 minutes & never answered. Dropped off auto transport & was told I was "Good to Go" but when I never received conformation of return I had to waste my time on hold several times untill I finally got through to Lupe @ uhaul phone service, she had all my info, claimed she was going to contact the drop off location to confirm return of auto transport and promptly hung up on me and never tried to call back or make any attempt to contact me. I called back after being on hold again and an employee seemed helpful & did claim to email the manager of drop off to contact me and made some notes to the account. I had to waste my next morning driving down to drop off location and was told by same employee that I dropped off with the previous day that he never checked in the autotransport. He gave me a receipt never apologized or thanked me. The Phone tree and the wait time is intolerable. The fact I couldnt get through to a single location despite dialing the listed phone # for that particular location is maddening . I can remember when uhaul was a good company but that was decades ago now. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH UHAUL !.
