I was told that I would only be charged .69 cents for the firt 100 miles and then .29 cents a mile after that...they clerk knew i was going to have the truck for multiple days and never bothered to explain that is was .69 per mile each day and that the miles don't role over from one day to the next...this put me way over budget and cost me much more than i was willing to spend...on top of that they charged my card when i picked up the truck instead of after i dropped the truck off and charged me multiple times resulting in over draft fees...i will never shop UHAUL again. Also the truck was VERY DIRTY!!

Problems I had were with location services and picking up the vehicle after hours - PLEASE make sure you check your own phone and settings as this can be a HUGE source of upset that is self induced. I also had problems with the app and taking my own picture - this was a UHaul app problem that required almost 20 minutes online to resolve although the agents were very pleasant. Ryan Kolk the local GM is available, flexible and very easy to work with despite the insanely busy location and proximity to Camp Pendleton (adds even more moves and vehicle rentals) I was able to modify my reservation, bitch about something and get credit a and receive a discount for a nonprofit. I HIGHLY recommend this UHaul location and travelled some distance to do business with them.

Instead of having customers wait in line to be helped, they should be able to take a ticket that will allow them to be called when it’s their turn. There are lots of great accessories in the showroom, but since I’m waiting in line, I never get the chance to peruse them. A ticket system would allow customers to shop while they wait.

Mostly everything was good. But i opted for the self-pickup option in order to avoid waiting in line on a busy Saturday, and be able to check myself in and get my truck via my phone. It all worked perfectly, until the final step. ‘Walk into the uhaul building and show this screen to an employee to get your key.’ So I walk into the building, and have to wait in a line of 8 or 9 people for the one lady who is working the counter. (She’s not exactly in a hurry). Get to the front, show her my phone, and walk out with my key. So, opt for the ‘avoid the line method’, and wait in line anyway. It’s a good idea, but may need some bugs worked out.

The employees don't seem to know what they are quoting over the phone. I received the run around from the beginning and was assured that everything was fine. Once I was there to pick up it was too late to get equipment from another company.

I would not recommend uhaul anymore for what I have been going through with Uhaul and it's advertisement and what it's employees offer and then what really happens at the store. I've been in a nightmare for 3 days.

Only comment was that you have to be careful with the sliding door . It flew up and the latch was wedged in on top.

The gentlemen, "G" is what he goes by, that worked on the lot attaching trailers was phenomenal. Very knowledgeable and very efficient in getting the trailer loaded with my wife's car. The front desk staff was also very helpful.

Yes only if the manager was not there. He's not a friendly person. 1. I paid him cash for the unexpected extra day I needed the trailer. 2. He gave me my coin cash but not the payer cash I was due back. 3. No receipt. 4. When I call my credit card to find out how much my card was charged so I could pay it off they told me there were 2 charges to my card from Uhaul. One for the initial 2 days and once for the extra day. So did I pay twice for the extra day once by c/c and in cash as well? Upon returning to the location I ask and he told me the charge would "drop off" what ever that means. My c/c said the charge had all ready gone thru. When I told him he only gave the coin change he questioned me several times as if I was lying. He did give me the $2 and a receipt. Problem is the receipt was for all 3 days and not itemized so if the charge goes through how do i dispute it. Nothing is shown that I paid cash on the reciept. When I made the reservation I was told the c/c was going to be used to hold the trailer and would not be billed until I returned the trailer. I was fine with that because i told them once i returned it i wanted to pay cash and not use my card and was told i could do that. Yet my card was billed twice before i even returned. Why?
