After hours drop off was convenient. They checked in our rental the next morning without any issues. Great experience overall.

I reserved the 6 x 12 closed trailer from the Novi store. I went there a day early to review their readiness for the next day's rental. They thought I had reserved an open trailer. They had no closed trailers available for the next day. They arranged a pickup at the Milford location, much further away than originally anticipated.. Catastrophe afferted; however, it could have been really bad if I hadnt checked one day early. Make sure you have the right trailer available for the customer next time.

The 6x12 trailer was tested for turn/brake lights and not running lights when picked up. Found out running lights not working when I was 2 states away and driving through the night. No tickets issued but very concerning safety issue. Prior rental 3 weeks before of same type trailer was ok. 1 of 2 packages of moving blankets were filled with leaves which I needed to clean prior to usage. Overall great trailer to use.

Rear tires were not aggressive enough for the snow

When returning a truck after hours take a picture of the fuel gauge. I drove 72 miles, put in $22. of fuel and they billed me for another $16. for fuel plus additional miles. $38. in fuel for 72 miles. I would not recommend U Haul to anyone. I need another truck next weekend to finish moving: anyone think I'll use U Haul again?

This is a very prompt rental location. Highly recommend.

Loved the friendliness over the phone and the efficiency of the rental process. I only needed the truck to move a few things and it was perfect for my purposes. Easy to drive. The facility — a TruValue hardware store — was clean, organized and the service was completely satisfying in every way.

Thank you for everything your company did for our organization. We made a lot of kids have a better Christmas and were able to pickup a lot of toys for the Toys for Tots organization. The Peter's True Valve location and the vehicle were great! Richard Cole Highland Goodfellows - Highland Township Fire Department

PUT A JACK ON THE TONGUE OF THE TRAILER AND SHORTEN THE SAFETY CHAINS.
Robert S P. en
This was a 5K tandem enclosed trailer and it did not have a jack to maneuver and position the tongue. This is basic equipment that would help the dealer as well as the user. I would have been unable to remove the loaded trailer from the tow vehicle without a jack. You should consider adding a jack to your standard equipment on these heavier trailers.

the drop off afterhours procedure needs improving. I had to find the drop box not easy to locate. and the email I received for dropping of I was unaware at the time of drop off. this should be made known before even picking up the truck.
DAVID G. en
The Ram pick up truck worked out great, but disappointed in the price. .99 cents a mile was excessive. Will get a truck from Home Depot next time and save the mills!

Every thing went well at this pickup stop and was quick

It seemed to be a difficult task to change my drop-off location. Confusion based on original drop off location discussion and the U-Haul 800# personnel. When I went to the original renting location to drop off they could not receive it because the home office hadn't "authorized" it (yet). It took too much time to process a simple change.

Left Trailer ramp safety retainer was broken. When you push the ramps in it should automatically engage holding the ramp in. One failed to engage and the ramp could have come out when I was driving causing liability on my part. Notified Uhaul provider of this. Also Uhaul was incorrect on the towing capacity of my truck. The owners manual lists it as 7000lbs with the options I have on the truck which includes 5.4l v8 engine, Auto trans, extended cab, 8' bed, 4wd. 3:55 gear ratio. I believe Uhaul quoted it as being 5500lbs (4.6L v8 engines capacity) and limiting me to a smaller transport trailer in which I had to drive an additional 30 miles round trip to get. Staff was excellent at facility on pickup

I rented a 5X9 foot trailer to drive two adn a half hours to pick up my riding tractor with a 50 inch deck. On attempting to load my tractor I discovered the bed of the trailer was only 51 inches wide. I contacted the location where rented the trailer, Peters True Value Hardware in Milford, MI and was referred to 800-GO-UHAUL. After 30 minutes on the phone, and being told a larger trailer was 30 minutes away for exchange, I was transferred to a regional representative who told me I could not exchange the trailer, and that my only option was to return the trailer where it was rented. On asking her how a consumer was to know that a five foot trailer was not five feet wide, she simply responded, "I can't answer that." This meant eight hours lost, a day of work lost, and extreme frustration with no solution provided. I am extremely disappointed and angry.
