This location was closed for hours all afternoon as I returned multiple times to try and return the vehicle I had rented. I resorted to calling into U-haul who instructed me to to leave the vehicle on the street with the keys underneath the seat. Sketchy!

I ordered a Dolly it was not provided therefore movers dropped my cabinet the doors fell off and the glass shelf was broken scratched the paint off the cabinet and knocked 2 holes in my wall all of which I had to pay to be repaired. I needed Roadside Assistance the location did not input my information it took so long for a Uhaul Representative to locate the contract I had to leave the truck parked in front of my Business. The Roadside Assistance person Left the drivers side window of the truck down overnight. I was not able to use the Truck for my intended purpose. The person @ the location asked me to pick up the truck before the requested reservation time was not there when I arrived, I called during listed Business Hours to discuss my problems the location representative not answer the phone, I returned the Truck during listed Business Hours location representative was not there.

Our overall experience was terrible. The woman who works in the shop gave us the wrong key to the truck so it would not start. We had to walk back to the rental location and explain to her that the truck wasn't starting. She made us cancel our reservation because the second truck was being towed for repairs. An hour later she called to let us know that she gave us the wrong key, so we came back to try again. Second time around, the truck still wouldn't start. On the third try, she finally retrieved the correct key and it started up --- the back and forth was maddening because they park their uhauls on a residential street with no direct access to the store so walking back and forth every time was time consuming. Since she had cancelled our first reservation, she took down my info and said she'd fill out the rest herself. Without my consent, she charged us $58 for insurance, and wouldn't take off the charge when we returned the truck. She lied and said it was automatically included. When I reserved the truck originally (before she cancelled that reservation) I specifically declined the extra charge because I knew we wouldn't need it. There was also an issue with our return time. We asked for a late return, she said it was no problem. The location closes at 5:30 and we'd have the truck back by 5. at 9:30am we began to receive phone calls asking to return the truck immediately. She overbooked the uhaul and expected us to return it early. This woman was extremely unprofessional and incompetent.

If you're going to offer the self check in option it needs a lot of work. It was slow and cumbersome. The person who worked at this location was getting yelled at by another customer about being Double charged and at the end of the day I was Double charged and also charged for insurance I did not choose to purchase. At all my other Uhaul locations I use the reps always double check that I'm sure I don't want to purchase insurance and have me check the truck myself. At this location they just signed me up for safe move even though I had elected not to purchase insurance while reserving my truck. On top of that the location was having computer problems and I couldn't get a final charge or a receipt because someone else had to "take care of it" for me.

I'd like to express my concern with my experience at uhaul yesterday, August 31st. First of all, when I filled out the online form to rent the truck - initially I had requested to pick up the truck at "Best Mailbox" which is near my office, and drop it off in the zipcode of 90004, near my house. This was an option listed on the front page, before making any other requests. However, when I was acquiring my truck, the women at the pick up location told me I had to bring it back and drop it off where I picked it up. Which was an extra 4 miles out of the way. Which in itself, isn't too much of an extra charge, but it then required me to uber all the way back home which was another $8. They also advised that I needed to top off the gas before returning the truck, which was yet another additional inconvenience and small charge. Whereas, if I could have dropped it off near my zipcode, I could have walked and avoided both the charges of the extra miles, gas and the Uber. It was very inconvenient under a time crunch and stressful moving situation. The reason I CHOSE to use Uhaul's service is because of the flexibility, price and convenience. I don't blame the women at this place for the misleading information from Uhaul. I put in the zipcode FIRST thing, and when I checked the confirmation, Uhaul had changed that option without alerting me. It also added random moving supplies that I had to remove. But all of these random charges and changes started coming up while I was picking up the truck. Because of the time crunch inherent in the moving process, I felt backed into a corner where I didn't have another option because I needed to get it done in a timely matter. I didn't have the option of making a new selection. To be clear, if I had more time, I would NOT have used the uhaul service after all of these inconsistencies and misleading information. Additionally, $14.00 of moving protection insurance was added to my receipt, which I OPTED OUT OF while I was reserving the truck. I did NOT include this protection insurance as part of my request. This was not something I wanted to pay. But I was charged for it. And the people at the pick up location never asked me about this. It was charged without my knowledge. My last complaint is about the unprofessionalism of the pick up service. The people at the pick up site had trouble with the computer interface which is probably why I was charged extra. Also, they were unable to get to the screen at that time to process my credit card.... to be clear - it was not an issue of processing the card itself, it was their inability to work the software to GET to it. They actually ended up writing down my credit card and information on a pad of paper on their desk. Which is a huge danger for the safety of my information. This is a huge concern to me. I do not have the luxury of knowing that my information is secure and has been safely discarded now that they have charged me. Lastly, they had me park t

Because the truck had no gas whatsoever. I had to put gas on it and they said they were going to give me a refund but they didn't so I ended up spending way more money then I should have. And nobody gets my calls to get a refund... I'm very disappointed.
