I was told the truck was full of gas when I picked it up. I drove the truck a total of 18 miles. I put in gas until the fuel handle clicked a few times which I thought indicated the tank was full. I tried to return the truck but the employee said the tank was not all the way full and would have to charge $30.00 per gallon to fill it up. I took the truck back and kept clicking on the fuel handle until l couldn't get any more gas in the tank. It ended up taking $18.00 in gas to get the tank up to an acceptable level for the employee to return it without charging me. Really, $18.00 in gas to go 18 miles. I think the truck was not all the way full when I rented it and I ended up eating the cost. It was not a pleasant experience!

Customer service was NOT good. The man I spoke with was gruff and inconsiderate. He tried to make me feel dumb, and I did not appreciate it. The face of your company should be helpful, not belittling.
Guy was very rude and unprofessional. I asked to drop the vehicle trailer off early to make unloading my truck easier, he said that was fine, then was incredibly rude about helping me back up a trailer essentially blind. Finally he didn't even complete the turn in online as He said he would, when I tried to return the truck the next day.
I liked the businesslike straightforward approach. DD Heavy Towing was friendly, but also expedited my rental. It was the quickest in & out on the road I have ever experienced from U-Haul.
The guy that rents out the uhauls is the grumpiest man ever. Complains about wanting to do your contracts to get a truck and isn't nice at all during it. He tried to accuse me of damaging a dolly that I rented from him but it's the fact that I didn't even use the dolly at all and accused me of damaging it and when I tried to explain to him, he shut the door in my face and walked off. Worst experience ever, he should not be renting out uhauls
Specify a drop off location. I was never sent another email or text about it, and they wouldn't let me drop it off where I was scheduled I was also told that I would be given a free day because of it and they charged me

Worst experience ever with a Uhaul partner. Called after a communication error in which I was late. He sounded like "Hank Hill" from King of the Hill, chided by lateness, acted like he was a parent. Shop could be a set for a Coen Brothers movie, dusty, dirty old towing garage. Did not make we feel understood or valued.
The man working could not have been more dis-interested to help me get my truck. The system was down, and he went on a bizarre rant about how "The Russians" were hacking the white house, The Pentagon and U-haul. I showed up at 3:30 to get my truck, and did not drive away with it until 8 that night. He made it abundantly clear that he was leaving at 5 PM on the dot, regardless of if I had my truck or not, and he refused to attempt to do ANYTHING. He did leave right at 5, and I was left on my own trying to figure out how to get my truck in spite of the system being down. I was hung up on by Uhauls system twice after waiting for over an hour, and I also attempted to chat with an agent 3 different times that never went answered. I finally had to call the emergency number for accidents, and they promptly answered, and after explaining my situation passed me to a customer care agent who was attentive and very helpful. Because of the system outage, I lost all the help that I had planned for my move and had to do it all by myself, setting me back an entire day for my move. I would sincerely hope you read this, and if so, I would appreciate a refund.
The owner was very helpful and was able to back the trailer into a tight spot for me. Really nice guy and had a collection of cool classic cars.
I was being told not to rent the truck for so long. I needed for a week and I got it for a week. I was afraid I would run out of time, so I called and the person on the phone was rude and told me that a lot of people want to use that truck. That he will charge me a weekend fee if I don't bring the truck back on Thursday. He was very unprofessional and I will never go to that location again
It started out awful from the get go. We arrived right at our scheduled time first thing in the morning and no one was there. The website wouldn't allow us to check in and said we had to wait until they opened which was fine because they should have been opened by then. However, nobody was there. Then another customer comes and still nobody there to help either of us. When the guy finally got there, all I can say is he was just an all around jerk right from the beginning. He yelled at us as we walked in the door, â€œclose the door! We don't live in a barn!â€ Then he told us the reason it wasn't letting us check in was because we screwed it all up for all sorts of ridiculous reasons- one of which being that we used google instead of bing. We didn't use either, and seriously what does a search engine have to do with their website?!! I seriously have never had such a horrible experience with someone who should have had some customer service.
One of the guys was professional and polite. The other was a nasty jerk. Love U-Haul. I will not rent from this location ever.
I would have chosen a different drop off location had I known the trouble we had to go through to find the right place.
Horrible customer service. Giving me a guilt trip... dumb. Enjoy my 125 for some bullshit. It's all good tho. Maybe I was giving you some work to do. Although I did not travel with paint I ll take the fall and pay. Throwing unfolded blankets to cover it up!!! Dude I just moved across states by my self - loading and unloading In 2 days after getting a call randomly letting me know a truck was going to be available earlier when having to request 3ish weeks in advance, ugh yeah it keeps going and don't want to waste my time with this company. Did I mention I am a Family of 5? 3 kids running around... I will defiantly be steering away at least 5 people if not more away from U-haul. So you can go kick rocks. Yup never U-Haul again - I have learned my lesson. Each time o have rented this month alone - Horrible customer service, don't listen to me as a customer, giving me a guilt trip? How is this business? Don't care about the 125 cleaning fee.... just stupid - Y'all don't listen. What goes around, comes around - Promise you y'all will get yours. Washing my hands of this. I was charged for the safe travel insurance. I cancelled this insurance when I made my reservation online. My agent with Farmers told me my policy covered me and I didn't need the insurance,
The man was unfriendly, barely turned around from his desk to talk to me, belittled me for not knowing how to unhook a trailer. My recommendation would be to find another U-haul dealer in Cache County, or at least a second one so that people don't have to go to this guy.

Drop off after hours was confusing, thought I could do it on my laptop but had to return to the drop off site and use cell phone so the system could verify I was at the correct location - ??

I reserved my U-Haul online for a specific location. Understandably, the location did not have the size I needed and directed me to a location 20 miles away. I preferred to not drive an empty U-Haul 20 miles, but had no other choice. Little known to me, the truck that I was provided was a local truck and was supposed to be returned to that same location. After I dropped it off at my local location, I got a phone call from the other place wondering where their truck was. I immediately tried to contact my location but it was a Sunday and they were closed. The next day I was called by my local location, given the keys, and I returned the truck to the location at 10:30 am (I was supposed to drop it off the day before by 9:00 am.) I AM NOW BEING CHARGED FOR 3 days rent when I only had it for one day. If you are going to assign a local only truck to someone, please let them know and don't just hope they double check their contract. When your website guides you through the reservation process, drop off location is not required. So naturally I didn't think anything of dropping the U-Haul at my home location.
When we went to pick up our uhaul van there was a car parked in front of it barely giving us room to get it out. It took us almost 30 minutes to get it from the parking spot with a lot of â€œturns and backing up and turning the wheel againâ€. When we mentioned it to the owner, he was very rude and just basically said it wasn't his fault. We changed our reservation and asked for no blankets. We accidentally included them the first time we ordered and we still got them and were charged for them. The customer service overall was horrible.
Be more friendly and helpful. Visitors to the office cannot read the minds of the people who work there. I was offended by the condescension and unprofessional behavior of the person working.
