I reserved the truck for pick up in Aurora, CO. Couple days before the move was notified that I had to drive further to pick up the truck. I’m not happy with the inconvenience. I had to pay extra for gas for both my vehicle to get there, plus for the U-Haul. I’m not happy with my experience this time.

I rented a Cargo van for 3 days and then switched to a 15 foot truck for the last day. ALL of the people at this location were exceptional and helpful. At one point I needed a hand truck/appliance mover and needed it from a location far from where I picked up the van, so I went to another Haul (Castle Rock, CO) and the staff there was excellent as well. For a very reasonable price he provided what I needed and being able to drop it off back at the original UHaul was what I expected - so no surprises there. Here's where I'd like my experience to improve. Like renting a car you've adapted a very nice mobile app and service so that customers can quickly check out right a the vehicle when dropping off the rental. When I rent cars for business, and the comic paying for it, I am often in a hurry to catch a flight and since it's not really my money, I don't look over the receipt, and just submit the expense. I shouldn't but I do. BUT, when renting from UHaul, it's personal money, often because I want to save money not hiring movers or more expenses means, so I really want to take the time to look over the details of the money spent compared to what was quoted. I don't want to be, nor do I need to, rush. For each of the "mobile receipts" , the staff just read out a total and I "agreed" saying basically " yes that sounds about right". But the truth is it sounded higher that I thought... but they (as I'm sure they are trained) wanted to email it to me and move along quickly because anytime I spend challenging the final bill was time not well spent for them and could mean a catch of an over charge or charge I'll question. This may not be your intention, but that's the impression I left with. I've done 5 start ups and worked for 5 very large corporations, so I'm very aware of how to drive revenue and best user each second of employee time to reduce costs and make the customer experience the best so they return... you guys are doing great there... until the final impression.. which I left driving away my car simply thinking that was great expect for not being able to look over the final receipt and say to myself confidently "yea - that's a fair price and total.. that's what I was expecting"... Instead I drove away looking at those huge "19.95 per day local" signs thinking "what a hook to get me to come in and actually spend closer to $50 a day due to gas, taxes, etc." That same sinking feeling whenever a rent a car on family vacations... like a scam. And btw - I rarely rent cars on personal time as UBER is a totally better experience all the way around... Thanks for ready.. I'm a change agent when I take the time to provide customer feedback... so I hope you take the time to use this ... or not. Jeff Sanders

The car dolly does not work with vehicles that sit lower to the ground and have front spoilers. I was unable to get the vehicle up the ramp as the front spoiler caught on the ramp into the tire pocket. May work for cars that sit higher off the ground. Did not work for me.

Call Center Service is way too long of a wait with no indication of how much longer you may be on hold waiting to be helped by a representative. I certainly hope the length of my wait today (which I foreshortened by hanging up) is NOT typical of the wait someone would have while on the side of the road needing service or help with their rental equipment!!!

I did reserve a 26 foot truck online 2 weeks in advance of my move. The night before the move I was called and told they do not have a 26 ft truck. I had to accept a 20 foot truck which in turned caused me to have an extra trip to move, more mileage cost as a result. I was not compensated for this inconvenience, I would not recommend

There should be a desk for online reservations. It defeats the purpose of booking on line if you have to stand in line behind all of the folks who did not book online. Creates a long wait time for those customers who are looking to streamline the process.

The van smelled like animal urine. Like someone had hauled animals in it. It was muddy on the outside and the person checking me out said they weren’t allowed to wash the trucks. The after hours drop off was confusing and the website check in was really buggy when adding photos.
