There should be more transparency on the cost per mile when making the reservation online. It was confusing to have the question ask about the estimated number of miles and then get an estimate that only reflects the rental cost. This makes the renter perceive that the cost of the rental will include the estimated miles asked.

Reserved moving pads but none were available. Advance notice would have been nice. Could have found them elsewhere. Even talked to someone on the phone to confirm the reservation. No mention that they would or could not be available.

When you type into Google the mile high station, it comes up with the U-Haul address for Lipan. I think it would be helpful if in the confirmation email that address for the actually station on lower colfax was included.

This location very much needs another cashier/check out person on the weekends. Standing in a 45 minute line to get a truck is ridiculous. Also, U-Hauls differentiation of the express check-in program to that of the 24 hour check in check out program is just silly; I don’t understand why they are not combined? To this, all of the legal information is given in the express check-in sign up.

What the internet reservation says is not what they will end up charging you. You would think if you are renting a truck and trailer you wouldn’t be charged extra for hitches to be able to tow the trailer with.

"Was personnel helpful?" Yes and no. Donovan K was helpful but after having just related the way I received the truck he still said I had to fold the moving blankets I left in the truck box or I would be charged $1 each. To his credit he did fold one after watching me fold the first 10.

When I arrived at the facility (which I had specifically chosen when I made my reservation) I was asked if I could bring it to a different facility because this one was getting full. I replied that I could not, I had to get back to the house to move boxes upstairs and I made the reservation specifically for this place (if someone would have called and asked me to return it somewhere else before I got there, that would have been fine, but that didn't happen). He then told me that there was no more room, though there was, and I repeated that I couldn't bring it elsewhere. He finally agreed to take the trailer off of my car and found a place for it and it was all fine, but he was rude to me the entire time. If I need to use a uhaul in the future I won't be going to this facility.

everyone at the location had the same terrible attitude. They were rude, shamelessly unhelpful, and unhappy. I’ve never had such a terrible experience with a company’s employees. At one point, when dropping off keys to the truck, the woman at the counter said “I’m not going to do that” when we asked if we could give her the keys. I’m not going to do that??? What adult says that? Also, no one was on the same page and they generally didn’t seem to know what to do. This was the worst customer experience I have had in a long time. I won’t use Uhaul again.

So I've rented several U-Hauls before using the online reservation system; the last time we rented (March 4th, give or take a day or so) was a pretty horrible experience, no lie (pick up in Federal Height or Thornton I believe), but this experience was beyond excellent. Our counter person, Amanda Garcia, was quick, efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Those seem like silly traits to brag on, but they are four traits that the last Uhaul rep did not possess. Also, Ben, our outdoor truck guy who brought us the truck when we finished checking in, was an absolute gentleman. In fact, the next morning when we returned to drop it off, he graciously took care of the check in for us and email our receipt as we had arrived before the office was officially open. All in all, it was a great experience and I will definitely return to the Mile High Storage for any UHaul pickups I have in the future!

There was some confusion as to where I was to pick up the tow dolly. I was directed to different locations, two on Federal St, but finally to the Colfax location.

I think you need to add more customer parking on the facilities, probably add more staff as well at the help desk as there were kind of slow and they did not well with the amount of customers. Other thing is that they require more information and another phone that was not required in the check-in online, I think they should not ask for something like that. Seems also the staff need more training to deliver the trucks quicker at least for the folks that already have the reservation. Beside that the facilities are in great location and are easy to find. the staff is not very friendly but there were not rude neither, so probably more training in customer service will be beneficial.

Worst experience ever at uhaul!! Have been renting from uhaul personally and commercial for 35 years and will not rent anything from uhaul ever again!! With all the questions and requirements of a verifiable phone number and over 1 hour to get a pre-reserved trailer I felt like I was being treated like a criminal. Another 20 minutes to drop off. Not to mention a phone call 90 minutes into my rental asking when I was going to be done

Worst rental experience I've ever had. I found the trailer I wanted online and called the location to reserve it the night before. I was told they don't have the one I wanted and made reservations for me at another location. When I showed up the next morning at 7:30, after wasting my time completing the checkout procedure, they showed me the wrong trailer. They found one for me, back at the location I had originally called. So I went there and found the guy in the lot who told me I could check in with the app or I could wait in a long line in their office. I tried the app but couldn't find my reservation. While wasting more time with the app more people got in line making my delay even longer. Finally after waiting for a long time in line when I get to the front, the person at the desk goes to the yard to do I don't know what. Then when he finally comes back he wants to me yup give him a phone number of someone who can verify my identity. Because my drivers license and credit card can be faked, I guess? Of course nobody answers when he calls for the first 4 numbers I give him. I lost nearly 3 hours. Instead of getting on the road at 8:00 it was close to 11:00.

We had a terrible experience for which I would like to speak with someone about compensation. I filled out a form online for my order (a 10 ft truck and a car dolly), including the details of the vehicle I planned to tow. The ONLY reason I used UHaul (which was $500 more expensive than Budget and Penske, and limited the mileage when others did not) was because we could tow a car using a smaller truck. We had few enough belongings that a large van would have been sufficient, but because we needed to move about 1400 miles and didn't want to drive separately or drive twice, I forked over the extra money because my time was more valuable. We picked up the truck and dolly on 6/9, but the employee working that day said we could bring our car back n 6/11 after we packed the truck to have it hooked up before we started our drive (my husband is not good with cars, so he didn't trust himself to hook it up). The employee at that time saw our car and said it would be fine and we just needed two blocks to help get it on the dolly. We came back on 6/11 and different people were working, none of whom could figure it out. It took about an hour of trying, nearly ripping our front bumper off, and finally giving up, before they determined we could not tow our car (again, I entered the make and model online before purchasing, and an employee saw the car 2 days prior). The employee changing our paperwork acted like WE were such an inconvenience to him because he had to enter some information into a computer. We had to spend over another hour unpacking our entire meticulously packed car, completely rearrange the truck, and repack everything into it, and then drive an extra hour out of our way to take our car somewhere to be stored while we went ahead on our trip without our towed car (THE ONLY REASON I BOOKED WITH UHAUL IN THE FIRST PLACE). We now have to pay for a rental car here in MI until we can pay to fly back to Colorado in a couple of weeks and spend another 2 days of our lives driving the car back on its own. This was the worst, most stressful experience in an already stressful time of our lives. The only good thing about entire ordeal was that the employee at the destination facility was very kind and patient and friendly. We did wish the facility opened at 8 AM instead of 9, but overall everyone helped us out and we were out the door in 30 minutes!

Provide clean vehicles that are not filled with dust and dirt. Not charge customers a $45.00 EZ Fuel Fee when the vehicle was returned to the correct location and with the correct amount of fuel. Once the incorrect fee is charged, not require the customer to wait on hold for almost 30 minutes to resolve the $45.00 charge that should not have happened in the first place.
