The owner was very helpful, and the equipment was fine and functional, but the actual facility was a dump. Rain dripping from the ceiling, trash all over the floor, and the trailer was half buried in bushes in the dirt behind the auto body shop. More importantly though, the original pickup location at 35 Oxford Street massively screwed up my reservation. Despite reserving the trailer several months in advance, when I showed up they casually informed me that the trailer had a broken tail light for the past two weeks, and therefore couldn’t be rented to me. Couldn’t they have either fixed the trailer sometime in the previous two weeks, proposed that I pick up from a different facility that had a working trailer, or at an absolute minimum, contacted me in advance to let me know, so that I wouldn’t waste my time going down there?? Then, upon my insistence, they reportedly found me another identical trailer at your Pawtucket location. Before leaving, I triple-checked with them to confirm that that trailer was going to be available for the full 15 days that I needed it. They repeatedly assured me that it was. Lo and behold, when I showed up at the Pawtucket facility, they informed me that the Oxford Street location was staffed by idiots, and that their trailer was only available for a one-day rental. I therefore had to call U-Haul’s 800 number, who was able to find me the trailer that I wound up using, which I had to pick up in this far-flung, dumpy location. So a really bad customer experience overall. I have zero confidence in U-Haul’s ability to correctly manage a reservation in the future.
ben hReserved 2 dollies and 24 furniture pads. They had none. Also, when we turned the truck in to another location, it was discovered that the hood was not locked down on either side. This could have been very dangerous.

Felix TI made an online reservation for counter pickup. When I arrived at the location the person was not available. The location houses a mechanic shop and autonomy. The person was not available and those that were there weren't able to help. I called Uhauls 800 number for assistance and was finally provided assistance once the uhaul regional relationship rep, Derrick was engaged. I understand this is a new startup however it was not a great experience at all. My pickup time was not adjusted even though it was delayed by 90 minutes and the owner of the business was not available nor did he ever reach out to me. Horrible experience. They should not have advertised the box truck was available for rental if they didn't know the lockbox combination. I should actually be refunded for the wasted time, unsatisfactory and overall lack of service at the site. Will rate online and advise others to not do business. If the owner didn't have his uhaul credentials, he should not have directed me to make an online reservation. The truck was returned by 9 am the next morning. What a damn fiasco.
