Another positive U-Haul experience, the convenience is tough to beat. Just remember to return during open hours if possible to avoid the $20 fee, and make sure the return is logged in before you take off.JOSE P.
I have rented many vehicles over the years, including multiple U-Haul rentals, and this was the 2nd worst experience ever. Their extremely slow and arduous check-in process was ridiculous. Never had to do so many steps and extra procedures, as in this instance. By the time I waited 45 minutes in line, and then went through the process, this delayed the rental by 1 hour. I had a similar rental with same type of reservation at a Newbury Park location last month, and took about 5 minutes. Quick pic of my drivers license and done. I am guessing this location had a problem, and now everyone has to be treated like a criminal to rent a truck. It was just ridiculous. If I rent from U-Haul again, I will always call the location in advance to see if they have this stupid check-in process like this location.BRIAN F.

When he asked for emergency contact he did not say he was also going to call it. A heads up or notice he was going to call it would have been nice so that I could send a text or call and let the person know they will be getting a call. I found that extremely inappropriate. He did not have permission to call, it was said to be â€œin case of an emergency.â€ Not to verify and in case of emergency.EMIL S.

The vehicle I drove had a littel over 115,000 miles on it. It ran well, but could use shocks and springs in the front end. The checkin line was a littel long, given that it was Memorial Day, and another person or two at checkin would have been beneficial. Even though I checked in on-line, I had to wait almost an hour to pickup my trailer. The process of checking in is extremely slow. It's almost as bad as the DMV!Kenneth K.

But the attitude and unfriendly people were something that can improve by hiring someone other then anyone at the counter. I rented a truck for 19.95 just to get a sofa a few miles from my house, after all they charged me $ 71, it doesn't make senseWAGNER D.
7 am reservation, online check in. Waited in line until 7:30, and the most infuriating part is they were helping a intercompany UHaul transfer while paying customers sat waiting. Had to wait as their only crew loaded him up too. Putting customers first is pretty simple, and after unnecessary delays in customer service, it's pretty much imperative.Gregory P.
