Second time in a row. I told the employee I needed the truck for just over 2 days and it would be around a 3:00-5:00 drop off. And I get a call at 2:00 saying I need to bring the truck back. Then charged an extra day and a 50 late fee for bringing it back at the time I said I was going to.

Update your hours of operation on line. Right now it shows the hours for this location 9a-5p on Sundays. I rolled up 5 minutes after 3p to drop off auto transport trailer (that I just spent over $1000 on). Door was locked because they recently changed their Sunday hours to close 3p. I was eventually greeted by uhaul employee that wanted nothing to do with me. He gave me serious attitude and offered several options, non of which included him actually helping me. So, I unhitched the trailer and went back to the door to insist on a receipt and a release of liability right then and there. Fortunately a different employee named Johnny came to the door and helped me with great service and printed out my receipt.

Moving is stressful enough and my recent experience with Uhaul made it worse. I reserved a one way truck for Leominster pickup which was moved to Clinton (not a huge deal). Clinton unfortunately didn't have any one way trucks. So I was given the option to either drive 2 hours round trip to pick up another one way truck in CT or rent a two way. I opted for the two way bc I had a strict schedule to keep. I did receive the $50 refund bc my reservation was not kept, but with the 2-way I ended up paying double what my one-way would have cost plus my father in law had to drive it back then have another family member drive him home (a 3 hour waste of time). Honestly, I'm not sure where the breakdown happened here. Jordan, the manager was accommodating to a point. I didn't feel like he went to bat for me as the customer. In my opinion, I should have only been charged what I was planning to pay for my one way. Instead I spent $80 more than I expected, and put my family out three hours of their time. Uhaul, why have online reservations if they can't be kept? I was very disappointed in my experience and will not be using or recommending Uhaul in the future. They're not dependable or accommodating.

I was asked to return the truck at 3 pm or before, which I did. However, I waited awhile to turn the truck in standing there before I decided to drop the keys on the desk. Suggest that if they are busy, that someone might say something to the customer who is standing there waiting to return the truck.

Hard time when mirrors wasn’t sure how to move them

Before renting the cargo trailer for my car, I called three different locations to see if it was okay for my car to carry it and they all agreed. They day before I was supposed to pick it up, I noticed they sent me an email reporting that they changed the tiime and location of my pick-up. They said they called me but my phone never rang and they didn't leave a voice message. I still accepted to go to that location and got my trailer. Before that I paid for all the equipment needed ($300). Once I start packing, which basically was my clothe and nothing big, we noticed that the trailer was too heavy for the car even if it didn't had too many weight. I read all the safety tips and my husband and me also watched the videos. We needed to drive 29 hrs and with the way we felt the car, we decided that it was not safe to drive that distance with it. I called different locations and the main number to see if it was possible to rent a bigger truck and tow my car or get a storage and then hire a moving company to move them to my new destination. They said that it was okay but never warned me that I had to pay for the while truck and insurance even if I wasn't going to use it and only had it for one day. When I go to the location where I rented my storage, the worker indicated me that he was going to try to help me but he couldn't. He understood that it was not fair for me to pay $600 for a trailer that I didn't use. I called the next day the main number to find a solution for this since I don't think it's fair for me to pay for the whole amount but their response was that they couldn't revoke the store manager's decision in Clinton. I'm very disappointed

Try not to take so much time with the client when processing. Encourage online set up so when in the store it will take less time. People who did it have to wait too long

I have NEVER met a person in customer service so rude and unprofessional. He went out to the truck to inspect it and when he returned he said that i could give him “20% of the damage or $250”- zero explanation of what he was talking about. When we went out to the truck to look at this “damage” my fiancé got out of our car and explained that he did not hit anything, the UHaul employee became irate. He was raising his voice, demanding money and just repeating “I’m doing my job!”. When we asked him to call the Uhaul location in NH to discuss the damage and whether or not it was there prior to our rental, he replied “I’m not calling anyone and you need to pay for these damages!” I believe the most concerning thing about this interaction was the fact that I paid for the insurance and he continued to ask for cash for the damages.

Jordan was extremely helpful and professional. He is an asset to your company and hopefully is recognized as such. I first attempted to investigate renting through your Northborough location but found the folks there less than helpful and somewhat dis-interested. Jordan was quite different and made sure that I had any question answered. Probably the only location I will utilize in the future as a result.

I had booked a month ago a 17’ truck for 24 hours, with pickup at 7 am( contract 22848436) There was an issue with my movers and I was only able to get the truck later that morning . I was told that because I had missed the 7 am pickup my order had been “cancelled “. I received no notification or call about this. Luckily, there was a 15’ truck and I was asked if I was interested in it. I obviously accepted it since I had a move planned for today. Was given contract 90194036. If I gave all my credit card info when I placed an order, and that order was valid for 24 hours, not just a couple of hours in the day, I would expect that contract to be honored. Or if it was going to be “cancelled”, due to being late, I should have received a call and been given the option to pick up the truck before my movers got there. As it was, I had to pay my movers extra to use their pickup truck to bring in extra stuff that did not fit in the 15’ truck. This was the reason for my review, great location, lousy service from the company.
