I had some issues with the short, curt, tone of the person i delt with and the inability to get the same answer from one U-Haul to another. Just because your are franchised do not make that my problem. I rented 8 U-Boxes in Pagosa as well as a truck and trailer. I dropped off the truck and trailer at this location as I was advised by U-Haul in Pagosa to do so. I alos dropped off MANY used and unused blankets from my U-Boxes at this location in Castle Rock, they said they do not deal with that and they can't even look into it as they are a franchise but asked me to leave my blankets anyway. So now when I go to return my U-boxes sans blankets I think I am going to get shafter by U-haul for all of them. The guys name is BC and he is going to look into it... not sure how as he was not able to because he was a franchise??? I had better not get charged for those blankets they are at the U-Haul in Castle Rock.

The experience was fine ONCE I was able to contact someone....which took actually driving across town to get there, walking in, and physically looking for someone for over 3 minutes... Previously, I had been calling the business for almost 2 hours, called 11 times....no answer every time! This is ridiculous. I was at Home Depot buying $1500 worth of Tool boxes that weighed over 700 lbs. I needed a way to get them home... no answer, for two hours. This is unacceptable for a business. A business needs to answer the phone. The gentleman there reacted to my complaint as if I were being unreasonable and that this was a normal practice for them.

Decided we wanted to get a smaller truck than what was shown on our reservation. We started the online pickup which was really great and then went into the shop for the change and everyone was extremely courteous and helpful with assisting the change! Thank you!

This is not where the trailer was dropped off. It was dropped in Raleigh, NC. My comments above are for the Raleigh location, not Colorado. Its comical that U-Haul allows that location to use their name. Employee was un-engaging, rude and seemed annoyed to have to deal with the rental return.

Failed to give me a piece of equipment I rented. Then still charged me for it. This location should loose their franchise.

Grado:

After I left they added a cleaning charge to my bill. The truck and blankets were returned as clean (or cleaner) and neat as when we rented.

We signed up for mobile pickup and the pads and the hand truck we rented were not in the truck. We had to go back to the location and pick them up once they opened.

I reserved a truck an entire month ahead of time, near my location. The day before my move I was called and told I would need to pick up my truck in another city 18 miles away. I was told I would be give extra free miles and be allowed to pick up the truck the prior evening, there were issues. Upon arrival to the Castle Rock Uhaul I was told my reservation had been entered in the computer as a one way, and I would be expected to return the truck to a different city. The Castle Rock agent was unable to give me the discounts I was promised because he said the way it was set up at corporate, he couldn’t make changes. I will never use Uhaul again and I will tell anyone that asks me that you can’t depend on your company. I give you a 2.

Grado:

The truck has over 150k miles and was pretty beaten up. There was some rain during the move and the truck leaked water onto a lot of my items including the mattresses and clothes. The mattress was from a guest bedroom with hardly any use so disappointed that it now has a water stain.

Trailer was not swept out. Due to confusion, I was assigned a trailer behind another trailer, and had to wait for the first trailer to be moved to pick up mine.

The truck we rented was in desperate need of a new front end suspension. We spent 4 hours driving this vehicle on the interstate and it was MISERABLE!!! We were bounced to the point of getting sick the entire ride.

Rented a 26 ft moving truck and a 5x8 trailer. Was notified the night before that the trailer would be at the location I ordered when making the reservation. The truck would be in a different town. I get it and was ok with that. Went to get the truck and the dealer in the other town said they had not record. They said it was now at my original pick up location. Used 1/4 tank of gas for that fiasco. Not very happy. Truck Issues: brake warning signal constantly on; driver window and door did not seal; brake lights and turn signals did not work (electrical issues); truck leaked and water came in to the container near the cab (much got wet). I talked to the 1-800 UHaul CSR and she said in order to stop the brake notification bell and dash light, I would need to turn the steering column all the way to the right, then all the way to the left, then center it and drive a few yards. ? This did not work. If turned off the truck and let it sit, the light and beeping would go off when I started again. Truck had 159,000 miles on it. Time to either retire it or give it a complete overhaul. Other than that the trip from CO to AR went fine. Thank you.

Was a tiny office, hidden and out of the way. Wouldn't even have known it was there if not for map quest. Were in and out in like 30 seconds which was nice! Didn't really have much of an interaction. There was no parking, had no idea where to park the uhaul
