Gas gauge was difficult to read. I paid and put gas in the van before dropping it off, but it was still charged so gas refilling is a big guess.

I wasn’t explained the whole process in detail especially the part that I was going to be charged a fee if I didn’t gas the truck on my own. It’s upsetting because I ended up going to this location because the first location I set a pick for which was closer to my home never left a truck for me which was the 11238 zip Classon ave location. I had to inconveniently walk back home to get my car to drive further out only for my time to run out because my storage facility to close. I had to make a u turn back home and change my reservation. I wasn’t given an apology nothing no one cared that I wasn’t able to move my belongings from my storage unit because of the place closed before I can travel to a further location to pick up a truck. Out of all the times I‘ve used Uhaul I’ve never been through this. And this will be the last time I use Uhaul. I will spread this through my social media following I wouldn’t want anyone to go through this

When I pulled into the wrong entrance, I was immediately greeted by a friendly employee who pointed me in the right direction and helped me a lot. I was pretty lost getting here and I’m a very skittish driver, and everybody here really put me at ease. I’m so thankful that I chose this location.

Absolutely horrendous customer service . Staff makes mistakes and miscommunication to each other with no apologies to the customers . On any given weekend you will wait at least an hour not only because of the line , but because of mistakes made on the staffs part that slow down the whole process of getting your vehicle .

Arrived with an online reservation. Van and key were not at the lot. Took an hour to sort it out as the computer system was slow, and there was no designated attendant assisting with online reservations through the phone app. Though this location is huge every time I rent here there are always computer problems, or the reservation is not there, or the staff don’t know how to solve problems. Although I was able to get another van I am Very annoyed with today’s experience due to the extended time it took to solve a simple error that should not have happened in the first place.

I reserved a week prior before the big move in order to pick up the 20 foot truck in the South 6th location of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I received a call at 8AM the day of the move telling that the truck wasn't available at that location and I needed to go to the 4th Avenue Location which was 30 minutes away and one big traffic jam. They told me the would waive the reservation fee which I didn't understand because they didn't have my truck ready in the location I requested, how can you charge me for something I didn't receive? Had I not mentioned the extra time and mileage it would take they wouldn have given me the 20 additional minutes of to make up the extra distance. At the end of the day I lost about an hour and didn't even need the extra 20 minutes. Not sure if I will used or recommend this company given that they made a very stressful day that much worse. They really should had offered me a discount on pricing for the whole ordeal!

Need a way to better handle busy times. Waited over an hour to pick up our truck. I know it’s BK and it’s the end of the month, but you need to be prepared. Your computer system seems antiquated and incredibly slow. Needed more Terminals to handle the load. Lots of staff wandering around really unable to do much. Need more clear queue handling. The lines were nebulous and no one knew where to stand to receive the service they had booked.

One of the worst customer services I experienced ever. I arrived before my appointment time, and waited an hour in line, even though I was only the 5th person in line. It took them about a half hour to process each person. When it did come my time, the attendant mumbled and was rude and argumentative with me. Then, the computer froze and she had to redo the entire transaction. I will avoid this location (and U-haul) at all costs in the future.

Booked reservation for 20’ truck via phone thru U-Haul Central Office for Oct 2nd. They assign location in Flatbush, Brooklyn. They tell me that the Flatbush location will call me day before to have everything checked out. I decided to go to location several days before. I am told they do not carry 20’ trucks. I am really pissed. ...... Ran to 4th Ave U-Haul. Explained the situation. The young lady, Shenisse ( not sure about spelling), did not have anything available. However, she searched and found that a 20’’ was going to be dropped by Oct 2nd but didn’t know the time. I needed truck by 9:30am. She called customer and found that truck would be turned in around 10;00 am. So I agreed to that even though they couldn’t guarantee that customer would be on time. Subsequently the manager of the office called me around 2;00 pm to tell me that I would have my truck earlier as another truck was coming in the night before. Kudos to Shenisse and her manager. However, do not book thru U-Haul Central office by phone. They have no clue.

After finishing up with the Uhaul. I called customer service to see if the drop off location I was given originally did drop offs after hours. The agent informed me they didn’t and that I would need to go to a different location. This location was 1402 Atlantic. After arriving at the drop off spot and seeing no indication of where to park, I called the customer service line where I was on hold for a 30-40 mins before a agent came and assisted me. After informing the agent there was no where to park in this location, she informed me that if there was no where to park the truck that I would need to bring it back in the morning. I informed the agent that I had work and that would not be possible. The agent then reached out to the manager of the location at 2:30am in the morning and received no answer. Of course. After providing the agent with the address at the beginning of the call she begins to give me instructions for a street that is not in the area of the Uhaul location I was at. THE WHOLE TIME THEY SENT ME TO THE WRONG LOCATION. I was beyond livid. After all of the different obstacles I had in the day, picking up and dropping off the Uhaul had bee. The biggest one. I wasted so much time, energy and money over this Uhaul. Between cabs, gas and driving around in circles. It’s horrible. The next trip or move I make I will definitely try and refrain from using Uhaul if I can.

My reservation was changed at least 3 times, instead of 20’ truck had to take 2 trucks, which were placed for 2 separate drop off locations in NJ, picking up my trucks took 2 hours- one hour in line and 1 hour processing at the counter. The pick up location was also changed from the original location which is minutes from my home to park slope. On top of all these inconveniences I was charged for 2 insurance payments and was not offered any discount or any sort of reasonable offer for all of these inconveniences. My original pick up time was scheduled for 7am and was then changed to 10am then 3pm then back to 10am. I received a call at 830am the day of my reservation to be informed my truck was not available. Horrible horrible service and no customer service skills.

I waited on line 1 hour to get key. & The representative didn't explained anything. I told 8 hours but he did only 7 hours. I had to call to extend hour. It was another long to time to reach. But when I returned, it was very fast & easy. & The worker at return was very nice.
