The customer service of this location was just fine. My experience was horrible using the online reservation and pick up and the 800 number to call for issues, which I will never do again. What should have taken 10 minutes took over an hour long to finally be in the truck, ready to drive away. Big difference between that and walking in, which I'd done in 10 minutes a week prior, with zero issues. During my 1st visit renting a truck to move a small apartment for my son, I walked into the Uhaul and was able to drive away with a truck after about 10 minutes. All that was requested of me was my driver's license. However this visit, after using the online check in system, I was completely frustrated and ready to give my reservation away. I arrived at the location for pick up and began entering the requested information such as my Driver license, etc. Without being forewarned, I was asked for a 2nd party verification. [This was nothing more than the representative asking someone if they could call them if I did not bring the truck back]. My husband didn't have his phone with him so, I gave another number for them to call of a friend. She didn't answer. This was all taking time in my pick up reserved time window! The rep asked if I had another person to call. I gave them an additional number but my uncle missed the call because, I didn't have time to warn him and he doesn't answer "Unknown" callers. He called right back and verified but now the rep told me my reservation timed out. My husband and I drove back home to very his phone while I called the 800 number. I spoke to a very nice, apologetic woman who said she understood my frustration but couldn't bypass this process. My frustration was that I wasn't told about this beforehand. My alternatives were a passport or my lease!? Who drives around with that?? She extended my reservation as I headed back to the truck. I had to begin the check in process completely over again. This time my husband promised the rep that uhaul could call him if I didn't bring the truck back! The rep then asked me for a 3RD PERSON to call. Are you kidding me?! Finally got ahold of my friend AT WORK and she promised uhaul they could also track me down through her should I steal the truck and never return. Pretty ridiculous that neither rep told me I'd also need a 3rd person and to be ready for that before my 2nd trip to pick up the truck! All this was never asked before during my walk in experience only 1 week prior. Next time I need a truck, I know where I'm not going!Dawn M.

The self pick up process was very cumbersome; i couldn't complete it and had to go back and pick up next day with a different phone. Dirty ash tray and old cheeseburger in the uhaul. Gross.Chawna S.
It was easy to pick up the truck and verify the documents using a mobile but when we tried to turn in the truck the mobile check-in was not working. Overall it was nice to be able to go pick up the truck without having to wait in line or deal with a slow customer service rep. Thanks!!Lamar C.
Our experience with Hughes Auto Body was wonderful for our UHaul Pickup. Bill was kind enough to pick us up from the airport and saved us the cost of a cab ride over to this location... and he was amazingly pleasant from start to finish. Our flight was delayed and he was also kind enough to stay a little past closing to put our paperwork together. 100% recommend this location if you are picking up a UHaul in the St. Louis area. If the customer might be returning a vehicle to this location on a holiday (such as Memorial Day), try to advise the customer how the return process might be different than if the facility is open. Great customer service. We flew in to St. Louis Lambert airport and were going to take a taxi over to pickup our truck. The owner called us a couple of days before we were scheduled to arrive to make sure he had the right equipment. He gave me his personal phone number to call him when we arrived, and he came and picked us up.MICHAEL H.

I picked up at Hughes Auto Body and was given the keys and told to go across the street to get it. When we dropped it off at the Dunn Rd location for inspection they found a bulge in the tire. The truck never should have been rented out in that condition. The fact that my life was placed in danger in danger was very upsetting to me. The service, patience and care given at the actual UHaul locator on Dunn Rd., was truly appreciated and if I am in need of a UHaul will use that service location.
