Grado:

Would not go there again, owner helped, but had to ask him to help unhooking. Too many other choices to pick from.

Grado:

Inventory was low, location understaffed and not real trailer savvy. He did an acceptable job though.

Grado:

The trailer did NOT have working lights, Causing me to be pulled over twice. I ended up not being able to use the trailer at all

Grado:

Not the most monumental complaint, but, I was told by Ed. since he was having computer browser problems which took nearly an hour for him to complete the paperwork to pick up the truck and hauler, that I would not be charged for the blankets, but I was charged anyway.

I had called the 800 number to reserve a moving truck and was quoted a price of $29.95 per day plus $.79 per mile. I was told I would receive a phone call from the location to confirm. I got a phone call from someone named Mike at A1 Plus Product on Superstition Drive in Apache Junction the day before we were to pick up the truck and I made arrangements with him to pick it up at 2pm Monday. I told him I needed to load the truck Monday afternoon because I had appointment to unload it early Tuesday morning. He confirmed the truck's availability and gave me until 2pm Tuesday to return the truck with no change it rate. I arrived at A1 Plus Products at 2pm on Monday and was told by the man there (I didn't get his name but I assumed it was Mike) that the truck is available but I needed to have it back Monday night because it was scheduled to go out again Tuesday morning. I told him that wasn't the deal and I can't have it back by then. He said it didn't matter. I would have to go to a different location to see if they had one available. I had help scheduled to help me load the truck Monday afternoon and was very upset that this was occurring because I had people waiting for me to return with the truck. I asked him why did I have to be the one to be rescheduled, why couldn't he reschedule the next guy who was not going to need it until the next day. He said he was renting it for 2 days, as if my one day rental was far less important to him and U-Haul. I've never been treated so poorly by ANY customer service representative. I understand that he may have been having a particularly bad day, or maybe his cat got sick, or whatever, but there is no excuse for such an impersonal, uncaring response as he gave me and my wife. None. He sent me to a different location about a half mile away and the gentleman there was VERY accommodating and helpful, representing U-Haul in a very professional, speedy, and courteous manner. The first gentleman needs to be trained better in customer service or perhaps let go for his actions and attitude. I will do business with the second gentleman, but I refuse to do business with A1 Plus Product ever again. And if anyone asks me, I will say, "Stay away from that so called business. Don't waste your time. They promise you one thing but don't deliver."

Would prefer to go to a location that was a U-Haul location only and not a subcontractor. There was no one to help us unload and unhitch, and we had to do it ourselves.

Let me tell you about the Willis location where I originally scheduled my drop off. They are psycho. Please do not let them contact me ever again. The pickup location told us it was ok to drop off in Apache junction, even though we selected the Willis location. The guy at Willis, Eric, is psychotic. He called me over 15 times between rental and drop off. Completely unnecessary. When the trailer was not dropped off at the Willis location, this freak (Eric) actually got in his vehicle and came looking for the trailer, even though it had already been dropped off at a different location. He then proceeded to call me and text me and asked me to prove where I left the trailer. He told me I needed to communicate with uhaul on my drop off location...even though I had already provided that info when I rented the truck. If the Willis location was the last rental place on earth, I would not drop at their location no matter what.

They need a better selection of vehicles and trailers.
