Couldn't get the vehicle I wanted so went with the next size up, cargo van. Set up my reservation online for a specific time frame. Uhaul changed my reservation to a 24/7 truck share with contact less pickup automatically. I get to the location to start the online pick up and it tells me there is no equipment assigned to me and to call a number. I call it, she tells me the location does not do 24/7 truck share even though the website changed my reservation to that. She informs me that they do not have the equipment and I'll have to go somewhere else. I told her this wasn't my mistake and that they could find me a replacement. While I'm in the middle of talking, she transfers me to another department without asking or telling me. I'm just cut off with on hold music. This man tells me that this location does do 24/7 truck share and he doesn't know why their customer service told me I couldn't. He said they just don't do contactless (what I signed up for with my reservation with this location) and I would have to go inside. I go inside and have to wait forever in line as they had 2 cashiers but only one taking customers? They inform me that for the cargo van I need a major credit card as it's leased. The email told me a major debit OR credit was needed. Not only a credit card. I didn't have one (I had signed up to pay for it all online with my debit card) so I had to take an even larger vehicle because that would could be taken with a debit card. Not only could I not get what I wanted or signed up for, I had to give all the info I had already given online to the cashier. So terrible customer service but it gets worse. The emails and Uhaul website tell you at pickup, what amount is due. Mine told me $41 approx. I get there and they made you pay $100 upfront as a deposit. Which if you want to take that much up front as a deposit then you need to be informing people on the website and paperwork and not surprising them when they show up. It took me an hour after I got there to get my vehicle and no one seemed to know what they were doing or what was going on. Then he tells me I can't park my car at their location as they need it for customers and the gas truck so I would have to move my car to another parking lot. Will never go back to this location and will seriously consider another company than Uhaul.
