I don’t recall the name of the attendant that processed my pick up but he was rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. He simply told me approximately where the trailer was then told me to pull it around front when I’d hooked it up…..he didn’t offer any help at all. I’m 70 years old and handicapped and the friend with me is in worse shape than me….I had no trouble hooking it up as I get along pretty well in my condition but where I come from, we always try to help out, especially with the elderly! I had reserved 24 blankets and he told me he didn’t have any that I could go to another uhaul dealer to get them……Nicholson Tire. I asked him to call them to make sure they had enough blankets and he told me they always had plenty and a call wasn’t necessary…..when I got to Nicholson’s, they didn’t have any blankets. Tim at Nicholsons was real nice, polite, professional, friendly and accommodating…..he went the extra mile and found a dozen blankets in a truck that just came in…..this was a life saver for me, as I was hauling very expensive trophy African shoulder mounts and needed the blankets that I’d reserved! I’d highly recommend Tim and Nicholsons but Blue Ridge Tire will certainly get no more of my business nor recommendations! His attitude was Completely Unacceptable!

I used the van that they gave me for and hour and a half...the time frame was supposed to be 4 hours. I brought it back with more gas than what it had when I took it. I was over charged by almost $100 to use a van for 1 and 1/2 hours and I was charged almost $157, I only went a total of 42 miles. I called into the actual store to speak to them about the charge and asked for help...they put me on hold for over 25 minutes. I called back into the store on a different phone while I was still on hold on the other phone just to be told to call the UHaul 800 number. No apology and zero effort to try and help. I do not understand this at all. If this is how they treat their customers...I will not be back. I put not applicable for the equipment being clean and well maintained...it wasn't clean...but it wasn't filthy either...so I would say it was okay...they should give different options for this question.
Kevin PrevostWhen I made the reservation through an agent of Uhaul, she assured me of what was needed to do the mobile app pickup. Two forms of ID other than my driver's license, one being a friend who could verify my identity. I asked more than once and the agent said, yes, one person to verify me. So, I had what I needed when I went pick up my Uhaul truck. First thing there was no internet available on my phone for using the app. I could make calls, but could not get on the app. It said no internet connection. I walked around to see if I could find a signal, but couldn't. I called tech support and waited 25 minutes for a person to talk to. Thank goodness I didn't lose the call because then you have to start all over again. Somehow, eventually, I was able to find a spot to get internet, not the app, but the web page. The agent said I needed Safari to run the page; I don't know, but I got on the page somehow. I went through the process of taking pictures of my ID, then I gave her my person to call to verify my identity, which she did and all was good. Then she said I needed a second person to verify me. If I had known this, I would have planned ahead. It was Sunday morning and no one was available. She said she was sorry, I needed another person. Of course, I had this whole day planned around this truck and moving 100 miles away. I then had her call a friend in California, 3 hours earlier than where I was. That worked, but now it had been way over an hour standing in the cold on the phone. The key box was not easily found; I may have been a bit over it at this point, but I found the key and moved through the rest of the process. The thing is this is the 3rd time I have had problems with using the app. Never had I had a problem with counter check-in. I do not recommend this app AT ALL. The process of sending documents changes at their will and who knows if you can work through it or get stuck not getting a truck.
